Got to Freeside, crashed again during a sex scene with her. Don't know why it's doing this, yes, I have the latest of everything (ZAZ, SCR, NG Data and Plugin, Tryouts, NVSE, etc) I am really enjoying the whole 'not being in control' thing, it's like being an NPC, you've done an amazing job! Onwards to playthrough 4!

It was so different seeing things from the point of view of the NPC, I literally felt like she (I keep forgetting her name) was the PC and I just some sidekick, with no control over where we went and what I did. It was different and really cool not knowing what was going to happen. You're definitely onto something here. I have to ask, how long did it take you to script this particular 'quest?' For some reason my game yesterday was slow and prone to crash a lot, I'm going to try today again on a light load and see what happens, maybe locate mod conflict or bugs. But this has a lot of promise. I also wanted to ask, how Lore friendly are you trying to make this mod? I really liked how you don't find out immediately what is going on, but have to ask over time, and how it's still vague. It's like a good film that doesn't explain everything to you, and that you leave the cinema guessing at the end - I really like that.
Chase Roxand Posted March 29, 2012 Author Posted March 29, 2012 Thanks for the feedback! Well, SexoutSlavery made managing the player dead simple. The mind control is just the "leash" system. Sarina's powers took less than an hour. It was mostly setting up all of the dialog/AI and fixing little bugs. I don't want to throw lore out the window, but I'm not going to let it stop me. Before starting this, I looked up Psykers and kept that in mind. Unfortunately, most quests in here probably won't be this thought out or wild. That's not to say that I'm not taking time to make things interesting. I just doubt that anything will be this original. That said, if anyone has ideas for (little) quests. Feel free to send 'em my way. I have 3 others in mind, but I'd gladly develop other quests first if I like 'em. Also, I plan to make every quest available for both female and male PCs. So keep that in mind.

SexoutSlavery isn't very good at telling when you've escaped, and this mod won't do anything unless you're free/escaped. EDIT: And I don't think that I properly replied to ChancellorKremlin's "how long did it take you". Most of it was done in one evening. When I commented on it a few days ago, it was pretty much in the exact state is is now.

I got 'two actors standing up on top of each other' animation again, at least once, at the barn. I've also got quite a few crashes to desktop, most of them while at the Atomic Wrangler. At one point, I crashed to desktop while heading towards the Followers Of The Apocalypse Tower by Grup Nd Gulp. Also, Sarina does not seem to care if I salvage weapons of the foes she kills, although I do get an option to 'submit' if I appear armed in front of her, but nothing happens. She also keeps equipping my shovel she stole from me, which is very annoying and distracting. She gets stuck a lot of the time too, between massive boulders, fences, bridges and so forth, sometimes even curbs. It's quite hard to move her, and sometimes a reload is necessary. At one point she did get killed by some fiends, straight headshot, which was quite amusing. I also noticed that it takes far longer than she says to move, so 'spend the night here' is 24 hours, and 'a day or so' tends to be two days or so, which can be distracthing to players if they don't know if this is a bug or not, while she does eventually approach the player, I think less time needs to pass. I really liked her backstory. I think we need a tad more 'psycher' in there. I realise the lore 'psyche crown' like the FOrecaster would totally ruin her look, but I think that area needs to be explored. Maybe she is some sort of hybrid, or second/third generation experiment? Lastly, obviously as has already been stated, the end is bugged, in the sense nothing happens, She gets to the middle of the road, and then nothing occurs. Just pointing out that even as of the updated version, this is still a problem. In any case, Chase, I think it's amazing you made all this in pretty much a night. I actually really like her character, it's amazing. I shall be PM'ing you about other scenarios (so as to not ruin it for everybody else) but I think you have a really good thing going on here.

Could you try killing some of your mods to see if one of those is causing it? Not much that I can do about Sarina getting stuck. The only thing I can think of is adding a whole bunch of AI packages to make her paths more direct. Oh what fun that'll be. Stupid AI... Being killed by NPCs was an unintended but expected outcome. I didn't make Sarina too overpowered for just that reason. I'll make the wait times shorter. And the "spend the night" will probably end at 7AM, no matter what. Making it last for nearly a day was just lazy coding. Thanks for all of the feedback! I wanted to make the quest longer, but I figured that more than 2-3 days of being controlled might get boring. I'm not big on lore, so I'm not sure how much more I could go into the "psycher" bits. We might have to bring in Loremaster Loogie for that.

It was intersting to see a head popping NPC one moment turn into a head popped NPC at the other, very refreshing lol. I don't know, as long as the 2-3 days are like the first one, I would be up for it. It's relatively easy to kill the handler, so why not (at level 55 that is!) As for psycher, it's relatively simple. You're pretty much spot on on what you've got. EDIT: Was anyone else unable to connect to the site for the last hour or two?
