baltazard1122 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Good idea ^^ but they aren't aggressive. Maybe quisling can do something about it just kidding they dont live in skyrim

I can't find the npc there, i tried with character, who are already lvl 6+ and also tried with new one and the command t level up. I also took care of the time. The other thing is, i can't klick on start quest, cause the letters are gray. Is there maybe also a command that starts the quest. Or did i forgett something?

The start quest line is only enabled if the quest isn't working, so if there are no problems detected it should look like that. You might have deeper issues, because if the quest didn't run at all, then it wouldn't be able to detect any problems in the first place... load a saved game, open the console and type: sqv hidSpiderQuest That will tell you whether Skyrim is running the quest at all. The penultimate line will be State: Running or State: Stopped
Quisling Posted November 29, 2014 Author Posted November 29, 2014 Dunno. I've just managed to get a working "struggle meter" so I hope to have a tech test out soon. But I think we're a ways off a fully working new version.
MasterChriss Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Enabled no Quest stopped and the menu is the same except apopros but its not required, right ? Ok i tried some commands and found the quest-npc, i can also talk to him but no option about the quest... Did i made something wrong ?
Quisling Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 No, that's just me checking for Apropos to turn it off when I want. Either the quest didn't start at all, or you've stopped it from the MCM. You can try startquest hidSpiderQuest from the console. If that doesn't work I'd try unchecking the esp and loading Skyrim again. Wait a few minutes for SkyUI to clear stuff out, and save the game. Exit, re-enable the esp and see if it's now running with sqv hidSpiderQuest from the console again. If it's still not running, check the HeroineDistress.seq is in data/seq. If that doesn't work, we'll need a papyrus log. Instructions are in the OP if you don't know how.
MasterChriss Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I got it work now Somehow when i talk to him and im under lvl 6, he tells me to come back when iam stronger and the quest starts and works fine. Only when im already 6 and havent asked him before, it doesn´t work. sorry for wasting your time ^^ But great mod
titomars Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I ham having a small problem. The mod is installed correctly and running as per the MCM menu but the researcher has no specific dialogue to start the quest. I had HID near the end of my load order and then tried it up higher with all my other Sex lab mods. But the only dialogue I get with him in either position is related to Sex Lab Stories. I also tried to run this without SL stories in the load in case it was screwing with the researcher dialogue package. No difference I ran the command in the console "sqv hidSpiderQuest" reported back it is running. I do not see anything specific in my papyrus log. I have no idea how to add a spoiler though
Quisling Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 To do a spoiler, enclose the text in "spoiler tags", like so: By default, I haven't set things up to do much debugging. You'll need to turn it on in the MCM, save then reload. Then the logs will contain a lot more.

Ok well it's still a mystery on how to add it. everytime I try to add a log and hit add post is says I have to type a message????? my papyrus is really long too. I have 221 active mods running not including the mods that don't add esp's
Quisling Posted December 12, 2014 Author Posted December 12, 2014 You can always zip the log up and attach it. Maybe it's too long to post as text - I'm no expert on this particular forum software I'm afraid.
MasterChriss Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Hey titomars, did you try to talk to him, when you are under lvl 6?, that was somehow the only way it worked for me. So -> make a new char -> talk with him, he says you are too weak but the quest startet -> you level up or use console -> talk to him again and you should get the dialog That was how i got it work
Quisling Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 OK, a little delayed by my own stupidity, who wants to test the new stuff? The Rules1) Use this only on a fresh new save/new character. No exceptions.2) Do not talk about Fight Club.Instructions0) If you already have another version installed, uninstall it first. Technically, the older version is included in the test download, but I've not checked it still works.1) Start up Skyrim with SexLab as usual.2) Create a fresh female character. If you don't use Alternate Start (or equivalent), the quick way is to open the console on the menu and type "coc hid_spidercave". Then, open the console again and type "showracemenu" to change your sex to female.3) Switch on Creature Animations in SexLab and change any other settings you need. Save. Exit. Install the test archive below. Switch on the esp. Restart Skyrim and continue the saved game. In the HID MCM, if it says no problems, switch on debugging and, if you're running something that makes dungeons dark, switch on "Light Sex Scenes" if you want to see more.4) If you're using alternate start - exit the prison (or you'll just get teleported back), then open the console and type "coc hid_spidercave".5) (Optionally) Strip yourself naked. Run around the caves a bit. There are several fixed trigger points where you may get ambushed by a spider. If you're feeling generous, stop when you hear spidery noises... they sometimes don't spot you straight away.6) After the spider attacks and does... things, you'll find yourself nicely wrapped up in their larder. To break free, when you get control again, alternate pressing the A and D keys for about a second each. You have 60 seconds to get out, or the spider will return and re-wrap you.7) Once you escape, explore more. After the 4th ambush, you'll cycle back round again to the first part of the caves. Feedback How does the struggle mechanic feel? It's currently based on your stamina, and should take 50 seconds if you don't miss a single keypress. On the other hand, that does mean it's the same for any level of character. I plan to make the struggle harder as you go along - probably though shorter limits on the keypress, and less time between a perfect struggle and the spider returning. More sex? A returning spider just re-wraps you. Should it have it's wicked way again? More struggle? I can likely allow you to struggle when being wrapped, to slow that down. Fight the spiders? The scenario takes place when the magic effect on the Spider's attacks hit. I've made this pretty strong, though it can take a while with a higher-level character. I could make it instant (maybe) or try some sort of Defeat/Submit like scenario (that might clash with Defeat or Submit though). Known Bugs If you happen to be caught by a spider in a trigger area, the spider may be transported along with you to the larder, and still a little annoyed. When you struggle free, it should attack again, wrap you up again, and disappear this time. HeroineDistressStruggleTest.7z
Sorinade Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Just read through all the comments to make sure I wasn't going to repeat someone... to find you've just released a new version for testing! gah! (too many good updates, pfft). So i'll say it anyway, might still be relevant and i'll try the new version next run - Have you considered cracks in the ceiling to provide more lighting in the first room? The rest of the caves seem overlit atm to me (running realvision ENB). - The quest text "defeat the spider" is slightly misleading imo, and lacks immersion. Maybe consider "I need to find a way to subdue the spider, so I can devise a way out of this cave. Hmmm, what were those potions I found again?" - The initial note in room 1 from the npc was easily missed, despite the note in my version glowing blue due to the "unread books glow mod". Maybe place it on top of the cabinet? As others have mentioned, i'm used to rocks not being breakable... so it took a while to figure out that step (nice effect though). Think I circled the room 6 times before I found the weapon and chest, not sure how you could make them more findable, without being too easy. It sounds like several of testers here cheated their way out of room one, rather than finding the solution of putting gem from chest in crucible 2, then stick weapon in crucible 1 - . - The corridor connecting the first and second room (after the first door) could do with a more varified wall section, there was a rock on the floor repeated 3-4 times. Try the next wall section numericly in the creation kit for some more variation, the wall seams should match up (some have 8 variants, just started playing around with CK). Also curious... everyone talking about the first part of the quest - refers to the "beast" as a sabrecat, but I had to kill a bear to get into the shack... i'd previously killed a sabrecat on the nearby road when below the required lvl threshold. But it was dead levels and days before teh npc gave me the quest to clear the shack. Also the npc ran up to me right after I killed the bear.
Quisling Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Yeah, pretty much all of the caves and stuff from that version won't be hanging around. The opponent in the shack is a leveled random creature placed by the default game. I think it can be either a wolf, bear or sabrecat. Getting the NPCs to detect what it is is less than straightforward, unfortunately, especially as 99 times out a hundred, I get a Sabrecat anyway. And Hjioriik runs up because it's easy to do, compared to trying to get him to walk/run across the river (he drowned the one time I gave him an AI package to walk there).
Sorinade Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I can see the npc drowning as a slight issue you'd like to avoid
avaa Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I can't find the second spider... Where is he supposed to be?
SoulEater99 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 so is this a newgame start or a quest that starts adn then u find uself traped?
Quisling Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 What's a "newgame start" when it's at home? The working version starts when you talk to an NPC, then you end up trapped. The test version, I think I broke that part.

Quisling Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 No, it's just one you encounter whilst playing. The next version will likely appear in the Innkeeper rumour system as well.
