You have to eat the ground mushroom at the right time.

Well, there is a trouble with those spiders and the Fly Amanita mushroom. I tried to eat this just before the attack, during tha attack so many times, nothing special happened. Just the same: placing the chr into the web, teleporting. What am I doing wrong?

I'm having a really hard time with the timing of the ground-up Fly Amanita Mushroom. I did grind em up with the mortar & pestle, but the timing for me is difficult. Does it have to be after the spider spawns and right before the attack lands? or do I have to eat it before the spider spawns and agros on me?

The effect lasts 60 seconds, so you have that long after consuming them.

I installed 0.4 because I had the same problem as many people, hjorik didn't have dialog. Anyway, I'm in the caves now, but no sex animations trigger. Console says

Also, a tooltip explaining the struggle mechanics would be great, for the benefit of everyone who didn't read your detail explanation a handful of posts ago.

Yeah, but it doesn't deal with capturing. Speaking of which, I do have estrus spider enabled, as well as arachnophobia (Installed but not active). Could either of these be causing problems? If I update to 0.5 and reload my save from before starting the quest should it work?

After running FNIS, the error didn't show up, but still no scenes, it was just an endless cycle of attempting to break free and either doing so or getting wrapped back up. I tried using the ground fly amanita but nothing different happened, just ended up in one of three locations: The room with the stalagmites and the fire, the room without and the room with the boxes and two dead-end tunnels.

Getting bored, I used defeat's surrender to actually get to see something, then the spider's AI crapped out and it was stuck in the animation and non-hostile (Probably cause ES+). So, I placedatme another one of the spider, using its baseid from the mod (I think). Wrapped me up, and I was back in the bed you start in, as soon as I got up game CTD'd.

 

I think I did have logging enabled, I'll check. In the mean time I'll try updating to 0.5 and re-starting the quest.

 

 

Oh, I also have ZaZ animation pack 6.11, that shouldn't cause issues right?

Updated, back to the guy having no dialog.

 

Despite being advised against it, I loaded up the save from immediately after waking up in the cave. I didn't have the debug option ticked in MCM, but it's now telling me HID: Skipping Spider Sex. Is it meant to happen before being cocooned?

Ah, the sex scenes are disabled in the latest version, mainly because I was trying to speed things up when testing. If you install this patch it should turn them back on.

Lmao I noticed that myself. Thanks for the patch!

 

I'm not sure about the one that spawns normally, but the one I spawned through the console (With the baseid of this mod's spider) can impregnate, or at least parasite via defeat, which would probably have the same result with however it's triggered in this mod. 

I think this might cause an issue in making the spider(s) non-hostile and thus prevent continuation of this quest - I'm not sure if it's because of defeat, ES+ or both. I'll test it out.

 

Anyway for what it's worth, after loading the 0.4 save from the starting point in the caves with 0.5 active, I had no issues I wasn't already having - that currently being either not understanding when to use the fly anamita or whatever it's meant to trigger just not happening. Oh, and the absence of Hjorik's dialog which I'll check for with this patch just in case.

 

Now for suggestions: Speaking of speeding things up though, imo the struggling minigame should be much faster. I feel like it's too easy once you know the mechanics behind it, but regardless of the difficulty it's extremely tedious unless you manage to escape in the first window.

 

More decorations like webs and sacs would be nice and help distinguish each room from the next. Cocooned NPCs would also be a nice detail instead of the (single) static body.

It's a single room, with a crate next to where I spawn (the type of crate that cant be opened) and a single long corridor leading out of the the room that splits off into two dead ends. 2 spiders spawn, one at the start of the corridor and the other one somewhere down the line, and if I get hit and raped by any one of them it returns me to the previous area.

Try eating some more mushroom.

Set hidSpiderQuest to stage 61 and everything should be sorted.

Ugh, I cannot find that mortar and pestle to save my life. I've done everything, struggled out of the cocoon, used noclip to fly around the tunnel system to try and find the damn thing, no avail. Can somebody give me some directions other than "its in a room with a corridor"?

Well, right off the bat, I cannot get the quest to trigger. I'm supposed to talk to Hjioriik, but there's no dialogue to get the quest from him.

 

Okay, fine.

 

I console in setstage hidspiderquest 61, as per the instructions.

 

So now I'm in the caves. I can't sneak, so I blunder into the first spider I find to get wrapped up, because that's all there is to do.

 

I cannot then get unwrapped, no matter how many times I hit ADAD+. I keep getting the right bar nearly all the way down, then it simply stops responding to my keystrokes until it builds up again (and again).

 

Bottom line, this mod simply didn't work for me. If the problem lies in "how much of the opportunity time" you take to struggle, I'd suggest scrapping that.

The hint doesn't say it's in a room with a corridor. I mean, all the rooms have corridors, so that wouldn't be saying much.
