I mean if you are going to go around every thread with a link and ask that "is it safe to download?", you might as well just leave LL. I'm being serious. It's becoming insulting,

Well if you use common sense you will have nothing to worry about. Get a good virus protection get something like malwarebytes antimalware remover for spyware/malware. One of the first things you should always do is scan anything you download with both and also unzip it and see what is inside it. If a mod you download is a .exe file and you know it's not suppose to be get rid of it or you download a mod and it downloads a .exe file you can bet your ass it is bogus. Any place is only so safe as anyone can do anything anywhere.

 

I myself would be more worried about getting something from the nexus then anywhere else as numerous people have already had done to them including 1 site staff because someone got a hold a account then changed out the download for their fake download that when ran copied things stored from your browsers like account info and things like that so they could then get into your account and then keep the cycle of uploading bogus items over and over.

This site has been very well to keep out viruses. If there is any file that is suspicious or a file that does contain a virus, I'm pretty sure the staff here will do their best ASAP to have it removed. And the community will more than like make it aware to others in comments if it's a hoax.

 

If this site had a grip of virus files, this could get shut down and it's not something Ashal promotes or any of us for that matter. It's not to say it's not possible one will slip in, but if that was the case, they can assure you that it would be taken care of immediately when reported.

Oh~  I just have a bad case of anxiety so..I am very protecting of my pc-tan~ even though my waifu OS-tan is windows xp ^^;

You're more paranoid than I am about links O.o Seriously though, this site is full of good peoples. Any download you're not sure of you should be scanning anyway. 

 

 

 

What if its a link the nexus? or any other place that the files are in?

 

Well they did have that scare a month or so ago where someone hacked a moderator (so they say... I don't trust 'em) who replaced all the major downloads with a virus to get back at someone... But other than that, fairly safe. For me, most visual mods (weather, lighting, npc, aminals, texture) comes from the nexus, it's a necessary evil. I hate the attitude that comes from there. Here I get all my naughty fun in :3 My bf and I love modding side by side. It gets hilarious, trust me. (especially when he makes fun of all the schlongs hanging out in my game)  :lol:

 

As for here, if you see ads, don't click-em. If you're that scared of dl'ing mods, only dl from those posters who seem to have a long history here (mind that pesky 'ADbot' too, he's a stinker). And for goodness sake, get things like malwarebytes and spybot S&D to help protect you. Both free, both good. And learn to lighten up :3 (just a smidge) this is an awesome community of regular nutties.

 

And lotsa girls lurk around, we just don't bother advertising unless we're bitching about not enough truly unique male followers (gawd I love me some inigo ^~^)

You have to be the judge of what you download. There is no point in rushing to download something. I've never been one of those victims on Nexus who's downloaded an infected file. I'm not in a rush to download stuff off there anymore. Then again NMM? wtf is NMM? I usually hop on a different game a few years later so most of the stuff that's been up for a long time is safe. Nexus for the most part is safe to download. And with their virus scan implemented, it should be much more safe than before. (don't hold your breath on that)

 

Here, you can easily relax. We're adults. We have no interest in harming anyone's PC with viruses. We do that with our perversion and twisted fetishes.

 

We got something great going here and would never harm LL's reputation like that. We keep it cool for the most part even though we have our differences. You'd think this place would be full of harm, but it's totally the opposite. We're cleaner than a virgin in diapers.

 

I swear sometimes I think you are a spy. And your out to steal my Lucky Charms.
