Puppet Master Swallow - Elimination enhancement for Puppet Master

Fredas - I have SKYUI 5.1. I'll try all all things again from the scratch.

Fredas - sorry my friend, but ver. 1.3 doesn't work. If I managed to avoid CTDing on loading the game, opening the MCM menu makes one.

I have all requirements up to date. Anyhow, will stick with 1.2b until 1.3 gets fixed. :)

Edit: forgot to say that MCM menu shows with 1.2b version but once the mod is overwritten, it doesn't.

Okay, so you're saying that the menu disappears.  I literally have never heard of SkyUI removing a menu on its own.  I don't even think it's supposed to be possible.  But maybe I can try it out myself.

Have to correct my statement in this post. When saying that "MCM menu shows with 1.2b version but once the mod is overwritten, it doesn't." I actually wanted to say that it didn't show in any earlier saves I loaded before the mod was installed. SKYUI won't load the mod's MCM at all.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I pretty much gave this up as a lost cause.  I have little choice.  The facts: Nobody can get it to work, except me.  I can't reproduce whatever bug is causing the problem, so I can hardly troubleshoot it.  I have nothing at all to go on.  Something is going on that SkyUI simply doesn't like, and I don't even have a starting point.  Who has time for that?  This mod was only ever useful to a handful of folks in any event.

I've left the matter open to any modder who thinks they can sort it out.  My time must be invested elsewhere.

I'm sorry to hear that you are giving up from this mod. I wish I could help you but have no any knowledge about scripting. :(

All I can do is test.

Hope some will find the way to solve this problem because I love this mod.

Awrr, I'm sorry. I had no idea I could install the old version then update to the new version once the MCM showed up. I hadn't tried it, but it seems a reasonable workaround. I didn't mean to be discouraging, I used to love this mod. ^^; You should leave version 1.3 up, and just leave the workaround in the instructions.

For those of you who are having problems with 1.3...By chance, what version, if any, of Private Needs do you have installed? I actually had the MCM menu show up just fine while Private Needs 4.0 was installed. Then, I uninstalled it and went back to Private Needs 2.11. Then the MCM menu wouldn't show up. When I went back to 4.0, the menu showed up again. I'm not sure if this is the answer, but it worked for me, so I thought I'd share.

Interesting.  Based on this, I made a tweak that might make a difference.  Try this out.  If it works, I'll reinstate it as the latest version.

From the testing I did, I'm afraid that version doesn't really change anything. The PMS menu showing up still seems to be dependent on whether or not Private Needs 4.0 is installed. Despite this, I think you should keep 1.3 available for download, so if someone is content with installing it along with PN 4.0, or even if someone manages to figure out what the problem is, then people will have access to it.

Doesn't really matter.  If I can reproduce the conditions on my end, I have an opening, and that generally means this ultimately can be fixed.  Although I certainly did not intend to release my personalized version of PMS with backwards support for extremely outdated versions of mods, I'm willing to make this one exception just to put this episode behind me.

Well, once again, I cannot reproduce this behavior.  PMS's menu shows up for me regardless of what PN I use, and regardless of my tweak (which does fix a bug, at any rate).  I'll just leave that attachment up for anyone interested, and if there are more reports of it working fine as long as PN4.0 is installed, great.

Hello. I've managed to get the MCM to show with version 12.b, I use Private Needs 4.0, but I can't get the animations to work properly?

1.2b doesn't support PN4.0 and also doesn't use the fixed animations; it was released long before SexLab 1.61b.  If you're on SexLab 1.59, the animations should work the way they did two years ago, I think.

I'm not sure there difference between them, but might PNDiscrete work out better than PN 4?

Going to see if I have any luck with 1.3.

What's the main issue for everyone just to be clear? I loaded all 3: pm 1.7, pn 4, and pms 3 on the first go and the MCMs all show up. Using MO.

The manual key for urinating doesn't seem to work for me though.

Seems most things work for me, using Puppet Master and this mod, at least what I've tried, with one issue. All three steam options are blue, rather than yellow. I do have Zaz installed, the latest version(along with the other requirements for PM). Not sure if PMS uses the textures/meshes from Zaz, but if it does, they are there.

I had a little spare time so I slapped together a probable workaround for 1.3.  Feel free to give it a shot.  There were some additional, unrelated bugs fixed as I encountered them.

You will need to choose.  One version supports Private Needs 4.0alpha1fix, one does not.  Because of the changes made in PN4, this is the only way to maintain compatibility.

Edit: I should add that the previous requirements for the aborted 1.3 still apply here: You need Alive Peeing's animation assets (not its .esp) to use the new Leito animations, and you need SL Anim Loader to register custom PMS versions of SexLab animations, which SexLab modified at some point, if you want the "something else in mind" feature to work properly.  It is hopefully common knowledge that you'll need to run FNIS for these.

Thank you for the fix Fredas. Much appreciated.

Well, the update seems to have fixed the issue I had, the streams being blue. With the update, they are yellow, as they should be. Though I only tested one of the stream sizes, I'd guess the other two are working properly as well.

The blue streams thing happened because the Zaz pack changed its directory tree sometime in the last two years - never a particularly good idea, in my opinion, since it will very obviously break anything relying upon the mod's assets.

Mostly what I was wondering was whether there were dealbreaking issues with this update.  I tried a release a few weeks ago and some weird MCM shortcomings prevented it from working at all for most people.

Fredas -

OK - Ver. 1.3 showed MCM menu, but removed Puppet dialogue line from Dialogue box. Also, I couldn't get any animation to work although I installed all as before as it is instructed. It just doesn't work for me, but I'm glad that there are others for whom this fix works.

Yep, don't know what to tell you.  I just gave it another go on my end, both as a fresh game and after already installing 1.2b.  Everything worked without a hitch.  I was going to ask which animation didn't work, but in the end I simply tried all of the new ones out and they all worked fine.

Some suggestions and recommendations: Try completely uninstalling PM/PMS (and removing their traces from your save) before installing the new one.  Don't forget that even this release of PMS still requires some files from Puppet Master v17.  Don't forget to run FNIS.  Don't forget to register both PMS animations with SexLab from within SL Anim Loader's MCM menu.  And I also recommend not using Puppet Master's action key for elimination; although I did toss in the appropriate code, I never tested any of it, because I was never personally satisfied with how it handled the functions, and the manual keys provided by PMS now fully deprecate it.

Fredas - please forgive my stupidity. I forgot to install 1.3b version first. Fuck!!! Sorry, Will try again. I simply forgot to do that.

But, I did all required operations except installing 1.2b version.
