The mind of a mad (wo)man

Re: restrooms and the like...  a lot of my friends have been called out for being in the "wrong bathroom."  They wear guy clothes and cut their hair short, and that creeps some other women out, but they have every right to use the women's bathroom.  So do trans* women, whatever they look like, and whatever genitalia they happen have.  Just be respectful.

I'm sorry, but a man, with man parts, does not have "every right" to walk into the ladies restroom, no matter how he feels about his own self image. Believing otherwise is willful ignorance. Doing it may put you in an extremely dangerous situation. That's a practical reality that must also be respected.

I feel as a woman in a male body, but. i do have respect for the others and still use the men's restrooms, i dont like creeping out women. Also i have no specific interest in people. From time to time i go like 'oh that girl is pretty' but also 'that guy is such a hunk', i just cant really say if im hetero or homo. And when i do feel to love somebody, that feeling fades away after a few weeks. dont know why but it just does.

You "get it."

Also, heard of "bisexual?" Thinking someone is good looking, regardless of gender, isn't really a good indicator of sexual orientation. Sexual attraction is what sexual orientation boils down to. What kind of porn do you watch? If your wish to have a womans body were granted, would you enjoy a lesbian relationship?

i actually never watched irl porn, i dont feel anything with it. but in skyrim, that turns me on :P

You missed my point.

If you want society to be tolerant of you, you must also be tolerant of society. If you want to be shown respect, you must show respect.

Earn respect.

And if society is hostile towards let's say gay or in my case Atheist(Not in holland btw(minority on this planet hated by most)i don't need or must give any respect they don't earn it.

Christopher Hitchens could tell you better then me but he is dead.

In general i don't hate anybody i treat everybody equal gay-hetro-black-yellow-white, it don't matter to me where all from same planet. But many i don't respect and prolly never will.

Most of the disrespect comes from different culture, other religions, colors, believes or what we don't know we hate or afraid off, we humans i'm afraid are long way from having a respectful and peaceful world with love and understanding.

Fine, earn it then.

If your attitude is simply "Fuck it, I'm going to do what I want, and if it makes you uncomfortable that's your problem" respect is the last thing you're going to earn.

When a man in drag walks into a ladies restroom, the other occupants have no way of knowing he's a harmless preop TG minding his own business, a drag queen intentionally trying to start a riot, or a rapist looking for an easy score. If you can't understand AND respect this, you're more likely to earn a beating than respect.

edit: this may have come off as more hostile than I intended upon rereading. Hopefully you see past that.

guys this aint a topic to start fights between eachothers but to discuss TG's. okay? :)

Apologies.

I have a near irresistible instinct to call people out when they state point blank that the world must accept them and adapt, but they are under no obligation to adapt to the world.

I've made my position and point clear, and will exit the thread as gracefully as is possible.

Last job I had, the bathrooms were unisex. I didn't ask around for people's comfort level with that, but there was never any doubt about which one to use, for anybody. And the main reason for not liking someone going in there was what I talked about in my earlier post. If a guy in drag is unwelcome in the ladies' room he's probably also unwelcome in the men's room - and if there's no third option, pity the poor cinderfella for having to hold it in all day. :(

I suspect the OP didn't expect us to focus on bathroom usage quite so much, but that's just the way of things on this marvellous site.

to me, if seperate rooms it could cause a little bit of a problem but i'd go to men's, for reasons i previously said. If the room was for both genders i'd just go, if you have to go, go. holding it in can cause problems. If i was him i'd just take 1 of the stalls, they cant see who's in there so he/she could do their thing without having to worry about it.

To me, i have confessed that i'm a TG to a friend of mine, and she's being pretty quiet about it. think she's a bit surprised and doesn't know what to say as she never encountered 1 before. That, and she's very busy. that i know.

If people meet somebody new they always have to adapt a little to that persons behavior, as for TG that might take longer since 'normal' people never seen 1 before. But in time they'll come around

It is a conundrum i'd never really considered if i'm honest but as a straight guy I would probably say whichever has the shortest queue. When i was younger and out 4 nights a week clubbing that did seem to be more of a decider for most although then it was "bold" women not wanting to queue coming into the gents and as i recall the general reaction was pretty much "well i've got nothing you've not seen before etc"

I will admit while i do have gay friends - remember the first time i went to a gay club with them and got introduced to some of the people they knew there and upon hearing i was straight the joking cry of "then wtf did ya bring him here for then" - i do not to my knowledge have any that are TG so i can't really give an experience based answer

Now tell me guys. What is your opinion on TG's. If you knew them irl, could you live and hang around with them?

People have to grow to it, hang out sure :P

Unless they are like "Oh look at me I'm TG, I have right to plaster it to your face" ppl.

But sex is no, no, it is in conflict with my main kinks :P

And ingame i can go even futher. it's where im 1 with myself and my TG self. comfortable, homely, good :)

also, i care about everyone. im not a racist nor do i hate any kind of homosexuality. I am a bisexual TG.

it really doesn't matter if you're black/white/asian, homo,hetero,bi,TG, thick/thin. we're all the same, humans :)

Have known a few. Can hang out with some, not with others, like anyone else.

were they like OTT TG's? or more of a calm and secretive TG like me?

i may not sound secretive TG here but irl i am. I dont know anybody on here so i can freely open my heart :)

The ones I get (well, 'got'. That was back in NYC. NH doesn't have them, or they keep a very low profile) along with fine aren't OTT, but not 'secretive' either. If it comes up, or you ask, they're honest about it.

I can't handle OTT/in-your face types, or "I'm confused and ashamed about my self-identity" types -- doesn't matter if they're TG or not.

I would expect so but it would depend on the person, generally high maintenance people i don't get on with very well with, so if they fell into that category i'd probably not get on with them very well but that would be the case regardless of gender/race/sexuality

I do wonder where the line is between tolerance and indifference though since the general attitude of most people that describe themselves as tolerant to others is along the lines of "well if they don't bother me, i won't bother them"

As an example when my cat goes and kills something in the garden i don't immediately rush after her but i wouldn't say i'm tolerant of my cat killing stuff either

Pre-op Myself I have never got to know one, some of the ones I have seen around dressed in womens clothes I find a bit disturbing and quite frankly embarrasing for the person in them (sorry but men in Womens clothes out in public just looks ridiculous and if they try and speak like a women, it sounds ridiculous).

So I basically have nothing wrong with them (and would confess to being fairly ignorant on the subject), but I think that they should conform to societys norms, Some Nudists believe they should be able to walk around naked, doesnt mean they can do so anywhere they like, Similarly I dont think Men should walk around in womens clothes or visa versa (I appreciate one is against the law and the other isnt, but you catch my drift.)

I guess subconsiously if I met a dude dressed as a Women I wouldnt be able to help myself being weirded out and would probably not befriend them (If they dressed as the correct gender but confessed to me as a friend they had trouble living life as a man I would understand). I would never terminate an existing friendship due to this tho, disloyalty is not my style, it just might deter me a bit in the initial meet and get to know phase of friendship

Post-op, I can appreciate they feel the need to do something to be comfortable with their life, I sitll find it a bit strange personally (and out of sheer ignorance probably) But I wouldnt judge them on it. We are all different.

As to the OPs main point, I really dont know to be honest dude, its a tough situation that I cant really comprehend. I guess there are the rare guys that can pull off being dressed as a women with elegance, so if you are one of them, perhaps you could.

i'm a male TG but what you're saying is right, if a male walks around in woman clothing in public areas it can creep out people, so i dont do it. as for the nudists, i heard there are some places on earth dedicated to people who want to be nudists, like special nudist beaches and camps. i heard there's 1 near my region but never been there.

Im kinda nervous to confess it to my friend that im TG. we've known eachother for quite some time now and i dont think he ever realised it.
