Perhaps it should say in the description that CCAS is required to interact with certain stories.

 

Maybe. It's a crapshoot. Whoever wrote that mod description really needs to learn how to describe things concisely. :)

 

Actually, the description for the various falmer/chaurus scenarios might still be messed up. I've done that several times so far... multiple mod requirements, optional requirements, sometimes forgetting to update the OP when the mod updates too. :(

 

But I really do need to learn how to simplify massive walls of text...

The premise of the rumors is based on the player having installed, or at least knowledge of, other sexlab mods. For example, the race in Solitude is from QAYL, the prison rumors about Prison Overhaul or other prison mods, etc.

 

Also bear in mind that not all rumors are true...

 

It would be pretty cool I there was a hint page / summary on the DL page, kinda like "If you want to fill the rumors with a little life, you might consider... [spoiler with a list of mentioned mods]"

Yes, stories is a bit of a potpourri of loverslab content. After having it in my loadorder for a while, I decided to remove it because of that. I feel this mod needs to get the playable content extracted and expended upon. Redwave, and ELLE especially.

A new version of Stories and Stories Devious (0.8.2) is out with these changes:

 

- New: Set up foundations for each player start quest (1 stage) 
- New: Add storageUtil pointers of key characters from Stories  
- New: Divine Cheese - Collect milk only when harness is equipped 
- New: Divine Cheese - Milking level should increase automatically when cow is not milked for the day 
- New: Divine Cheese - Lactation should increase breast size if NiOverride is detected 
- New: Divine Cheese - Prevent milking harness to be equipped on male NPCs (or player) 
- New: Spriggan start - Cast calm effect for spriggans before enslavement kicks in 
- New: SexBot - Move hostile falmers further up in ruin 
- New: Nord queen - reapply effects regularly in corpse stage in case of cure by altar 
- New: Nord queen - force refresh of skin shader spell on location changes 
- New: Nord queen - add custom skin effects to 'zombie' stages

These are meant to be start able in the alternative start prison right . I remember playing an earlier version and getting I'm a character in a dark tale. But I can see any of the options. As far as I can tell after double checking I have all the required mods

I've tried to DL the devious file 4 times now, everytime it gets right to the end then fails.

 

LL is usually slower on weekends. 

 

You can try again later or try a different browser. That seems to help for some connections.

I have never had an issue DLing from LL. Hundreds of mods from here have all DL fine. The file isn't DLing slow, or even showing any signs of being corrupt, the DL goes right to the very last bit but comes up with a fail. It's so weird ;)

Not to beat a dead horse, but I just DL the non devious file, and FB animations pack by shashanke fine, but the devious file still fails.

The "dark tale" line is from Content Consumer's alt start mod, not this one. That one does use many starts from this but I don't know how many of those will be directly affected. The ELLE and Nord Queen were used in that mod, I think, so with these fixes should work better, but I don't think anything else new was added yet.

Devious download still seems to fail at the end.

 

Try using another browser to download it, it worked for me (Firefox to IE)

Ok, well after updating it seems the fetish system isn't starting up. Also the MCM states that some things are just a placeholder, is this correct?

Since no one answered I'll add some info. I removed all the old scripts with save tool before updating this mod. Upon entering there was a notice that this mod was activated and a new MCM menu. It's just that it doesn't list the stories like it did before and the fact I can't get the fetishes to start. Any ideas?

I replaced the list of stories by a message about a placeholder to remove any confusion about missing settings. That part is normal.

 

I haven't tried the Fetish system in a while (in truth, that system is due for a rewrite).

 

What do you mean you can't get it to start? What did you try and what were you expecting to see?

Well, I tried going back to the standing stones considering it was working already. I used the warriors stone, nothing, I used the mage stone then reused the warriors stone, nothing. Before of course it showed on the magical effects tab as an effect :) So yeah not sure of anything else I could have tried.
