I'm not quite sure what its called but it looks a bit like the path that joins the road a little north of Fort Karstav and south of Whistling Mine. If its the one I'm thinking of you come across it if you're going cross country from Windhelm

Not enough in there for me either.

Like I said in the OP, we need more than just a no-name path, or a tree. We need, say a structure or a place where a regular NPC hangs, or something that makes said location unique.

 

For example in the screenie bellow, not much there.

But there are just enough clues, that if you play a very popular mod here on LL, you'll know exactly where that is and even the mod name.

I know this one, but i don't know where it exactly is.

I can't check because i uninstalled the mod for a new playthrough, while i wait for the update.

Not exactly but I'll give you a hint ;p it's a location almost directly south West from Fort Kastav

 

Shearpoint looking across the valley to Fort Karstav? (The hill in the distance is definitely the one above the Fort Karstav), and the view is too high up and wrong angle for Nightingale Inn, and not woody enough for Raldbthar. Also there is a dragon.

That should be the punishment cage of Captured Dreams, but do you think I can remember where it's located atm? :s

Umm I don't think Captured Dreams was part of the original Skyrim(*)? Anyway no idea. The area looks like the Reach. So from clues there are two mines, (i think), Koskeggr & Left Hand, but the fort being where it is is wrong. So you are looking for somewhere north of something looking south. (Also not woody enough for the mine being Lost Prospect which is way over and the rocks look different, but a fort would be in the right position). Umm.

 

(*) That's to say the cage is just for decoration, it's the other bits which matter.
