this shrine is just north of the Winterhold Stormcloak Camp (when the Imperials control Winterhold).

That was my initial impression from the image but I knew that wasn't a Mara shrine.

I'm not even aware of the dead lovers shrine

It's close to Soljund's Sinkhole. A small campsite set up by the two now dead lovers.

Given the picture (which appears to be a shrine of Arkay and not Mara) and the clue about the Civil War, I suspect that this shrine is just north of the Winterhold Stormcloak Camp (when the Imperials control Winterhold).

Oops. Are you trying to tell me that Mara and Arkay are different deities? But they both have a roundish symbol!!

If you insinst that it's a shrine to Arkay then you're right about north of Windhelm.

Uhmm,... I... only said to pray to Lady Mara. You can do that on any shrine now, can you?! (damn!)

Ah, okay. I remember those dead lovers (and the bear) but I don't remember a shrine in the vicinity.

I think it's more of a portable type thing that they set up.

This one may be easy too, let's see:

What is in the red oval? The blue rectangle? Hardest, where was I when I took this shot (my Player character, that is)?

Far too easy. Alftand and the Statue to Azura.

Something equally easy:

BUT, but, but ... where must I be to take that picture?

And, just east of the Atronach Stone.

No, you're thinking of this structure (with 3 skeletons)

Mine's got necromancers and is not east of the Atronach Stone.

(Oh, and you've been up at Frostflow Lighthouse. I just freed Phoenix Cavebane from there (Damsels in Distress pt?))

Ignore the pillar of light, it's from a mod.

Forelhost left on the horizon, Lost Tongue Overlook in the distance.

Something a bit easier this time. A hunter's camp. With a landmark!!

(Oh, and please ignore the latex clad girl in the picture, that's just a follower)

It's on the route between Ansilvund and Kagrenzel (seen in the background). A copy of Father of the Niben can be obtained to the right of the follower.

It seems this was far too easy.

Something else then. A circle of mushrooms in the middle of nowhere. I admit that I stumble across this from time to time, because my scouting abilities are a laugh.

Just offhand, isn't this the one in Falkreath near the burning wagon?

Seems to be in Falkreath, but not near that wagon (didn't know that there is one)

Here is the burning wagon to which I alluded (it's between Knifepoint Ridge and Cracked Tusk Keep, roughly):

Ah yes, one of those landmarks I regularly stumble upon, without ever remembering where it actually is...

I'd describe it as north-east of the Twilight Sepulcher, and I think the mushroom ring you're referring to is on top of the hill, next to a shrine of Akatosh.

The one I've shown is further north (which isn't very helpful in this case, as we're on the southern border of the map...)

Isn't that just on top of that hill? Did you find the Sabre Cat on your way up?

Actually, on top of the hill above the pillar is the "shrine of Peryite". However, the picture is not far from it to the southwest.

Uhmm, not in my way of describing things... The Shrine of Peryite is on a shoulder ot the hill. I'd consider the Dwemer structure to be on top, but on the other hand, that's also not the highest point, there's a ridge between the shrine and this tower. Just nitpicking...

Evidently I did not make myself clear. The first sentence described where the pillar, that I had not found in 8 years, was located. That is, it is practically under the fume barrel of Peryite.

The second sentence described the location of the dwemer ruins - southwest of the shrine of Peryite. It is certainly not below it.

Probably too easy (you guys are way better with locations than I) but who knows where this stone face/bench combo is located?

Not the faintest idea, I'm a surface dweller. Drop me anywhere in Skyrim and in most cases I know where I am just by looking around. Put me in any cave and I have no idea where I am - happens even when I went there myself and continue playing the next day 😕

Just one question: is this location quest locked?
