Yup, right up the hill. And following that line further uphill, avoiding the Shrine of Peryite, you'll find the dead Sabrecat with the skeleton.

I came out of the back of Karthwasten to head for Druadach and was surprised when I stumbled upon the grotto. I thought about your sabre cat but didn't look for it though I did stumble across the shrine of Peyrite.
