[WIP] SexLab Love Interests

I like the SexLab romance mod and also the SexLab Lovers Comfort mod.  I've played with them quite a bit.  But I was thinking it would be nice to have something more Story and Character driven to work with to get to Sex with a particular character.

 

That is, it would be nice if you had to work for it, kinda like real life.

 

Also, the game's marriage mechanic of just throwing on an amulent of Mara and asking any sally sob-story around to marry you also seems a bit simple.  There's no real relationship build up, particularly.  "Oh, you brought me a Mammoth Tusk, cool!  Let me bear your children."

 

Anyways, so I was looking at creating a Mod that adds story and quests for specific characters  - those probably most heavily targeted for a relationship.  Curious what the interest in this might be.

 

Features:

 

Each character would have a unique quest and also persuade checks that key off quests and character interests they already have.

 

As an example, I've finished working on Camilla's Love Interest Quest, it plays off the Lovely Letter quest with Sven and Faendal.  Basically you have to get it over on both of those dudes to win her affection.

 

 

Each character would have custom full dialog audio mixed and edited from the default character voice dialog audio files that comes with the game.

 

I have begun creating custom character dialog already for the NPC responses mixed for the games existing audio tracks.  It's very time consuming to create all new lines of custom dialog with the characters voice but it does add a lot.

 

 

Sex only becomes possible after having gone through the processing of Romancing the character via dialog, custom quest and persuade.

 

The goal being, Immersion.  Of course it will be easier to get into some NPCs pants than others.  Some NPCs will have steeper requirements. 

 

 

Playing a Dashing Rogue / Pick-Up Artist in Skyrim

 

Provide a context for being a dashing rogue who has a way with the ladies.

 

Also, give the player a greater sense of accomplishment by actually getting to sex with an NPC.  It's a challenge.  And the story and dialog give it context. 

 

Also, it seems a decent use for the Speech skill - persuading people to give in to sex.  Maybe even worth a perk point.  Seems like a generally useless tree, IMO.  But, from a Role-Playing perspective, Speech skills for Romancing people might just tempt a player to perk up the Speech tree.

 

 

Jealousy

 

NPCs that are Love Interests may get jealous of other Love Interests and cause the player further entanglements

 

Jilted

 

NPCs that are love interests may get Jilted if the Player actually marries someone in Skyrim, leading to further entanglements.

 

 

Some Not-Features

 

Not really a Want Sex Get Sex mod

 

There are a few of those out there.  This one would make it more difficult.  For example getting into Elisif's pants might be more challenging than facing Alduin.

 

 

Limited number of potential Lovers

 

Building custom quests isn't so bad, but remixing custom dialog from whats available for the character voices in the game in an audio mixer is a real slow process.  So, since each character NPC has to be hand-crafted, in essence, for the Love Interests mod only high profile characters would be available.

 

Looking at releasing them city by city as they get done, starting in Riverwood and Whiterun.

As I plan to do SexLab stuff after all Main Quests, this is a very interesting idea. A bit more quests is nice, or I would just fuck everything in my way without doing anything. Gets boring quickly.

I'd like to do male Love Interests for sure.  I figured I'd start with females, since it is time consuming to create the audio files for the existing characters.

 

To be honest, though, I do not even know what Male characters would be considered most Hot and a potential love interest to use.  A list of Hot males as targets for Love appreciated.

Yeah, I might PM you and take you up on that.  Writing dialog from the female perspective of persuing and building up a romance with males is probably not my strong suit.

Since most of the game's marriageable characters share the same few voices, you could get lazy with the lower profile characters by cobbling together some cover-all lines and building a couple simple, random radiant quests.  Some tedious "go here, do this" kind of thing.  It's not like it wouldn't fit in in skyrim, there's plenty of them already, plus that way certain characters wouldn't get completely left out at minimal effort, assuming you'd be willing to do that.  Having next to no scripting and quest building experience, I have no clue how hard that kind of thing would be.

You should post this in the Ideas for Mods thread. It is not unlike the idea I posted there for a Seduction mod (under sexlab, but not downloads). If the demand for/interest in this kind of mod is clearly visible in the sexlab Ideas for Mods and Quests thread, modders might be more likely to cater to our interests. There seems to be a perception out there that LL is all about rape and prostitution. I think the reality is more complex than that, so let's get our voices heard! Together, as a special interest, in the sexlab Ideas for Mods thread.

Yah I like this list! I don't recognise all of them but I agree with most ^^ Vilkas and Farkas are my favourites too!

 

There's also that Thalmor person (I forgot his name) walking back and forth around Understone Keep in Markarth and you can do a quest for him and after that he becomes the nicest Thalmor in the game. I like him lots and I think he would be an amazing love interest option for an elf character (I don't think he'd be interested in humans)!

 

Also since you're already working on Camila maybe you could use Faendal and Sven from the same quest too? Maybe seducing one of them and leaving the other to her could be an alternate way to finish the quest n_n They're both kinda horrible people tho, I wish there was a way to expose both of them XD

 

I could help you with the female perspective thingy too but I'm not very good at writing stuffs. I could offer more help with scripting if you need it and I have some idea how quests and dialogue trees work

I'll probably offer an updated version of SexLab Romance as a drop-in replacement.  That for NPCs that don't have the deeper Love Interests Quests and Dialog or never will because they are low profile NPCs - but maybe a player still wants to try their luck with them.   Spaceman has kindly made the original Romance mod available for reuse.

Man, how long have I wanted a mod like this? I've pretty much have been trying to get a game ready to play as a bard. I can play the lute, get money, get a room...I can bash with lutes, I've got sexlab prepped, have the bard costume...

 

But it always feels too easy to "seduce" the ladies in each village. I want to work. To serenade, to seduce, to figure out their weaknesses. Obviously there will still be plenty of willing wenches, but some would be worthwhile to go after...having fun in the chase.

 

Please, if you can, continue with this mod.

Considering we have like a ton of follower mods that look decent, some of them using the standard follower game voices, i'd be impressed if someone makes a quest that you can bind to said follower that has the respective voice type; that also gives complete freedom on what the quest should be.

 

 

an epic idea off the top of my head would be: The dragon slayers of legend have long been dead and fairly recently the last heirs of the dragon blood have also perished. Skyrim is torn by a civil war and now dragons are coming back to life, bearing what could be the end of all. In these troubled times a sorceress ventures into an ancient nord burial tomb in hopes of escaping the troubles of the world. You awake from what seems to be an eternal slumber, you're confused, weary and weak. The sorceress is standing right in front you. Embark on an epic adventure as the sorceresses revived servant, explore the vast province of Skyrim, slay countless foes, loot hoards of riches, make friends that might complicate your situation even more, bring an end to the war and discover your true identity, an ancient Dragonborn of old that will put an end to the threat of dragons once and for all.

I had this concept when I started out that there would be a jealousy system in Amorous Adventures.  Things like lovers putting out hits on other lovers, or simply giving the player a hard time over their other loves.

 

In the end, though, it was all the work I could manage just to try and build decent quests which were fully voiced.  There's only so much time I can spend on it.
