Dallas-Arbiter Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Here's what I used to do, and it's all in the console: player.modavhealth -50 player.modavstamina -50 player.modavmagicka -75 player.modavcarryweight -270 Yes, those dashes are minus signs.
GodSmack Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 i use infinit money just because i want to level faster so i capp out blacksmith on skyre then when im bored i use sex buffs to take down dragon stones/dragon mages also i use the lock cheat but to balance my self out i dont use weapons, dragons are a bitch tho
1conseq Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 The vanilla game is already easy as it is. And very bland and boring IMO. Now if you use some mods, you can make the combat become more tactical, very difficult and make you work for every kill. That's what is really interesting. I would really like a mod that removes level progression, magic and perks altogether from the game and implements a combat system more similar to Chivalry Medieval Warfare than these RPG games that are similar to some dated board games.
Jeffrey Lane Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Here's what I used to do, and it's all in the console: player.modavhealth -50 player.modavstamina -50 player.modavmagicka -75 player.modavcarryweight -270 Yes, those dashes are minus signs. that sounds like a pain to play with.. gonna have to try it sometime.
EternalDamned Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I used to use the silver ring of shadows that gave like 9999% boost to sneak. Lock pick pro, pickpocket always successful and more and indefinite mining. Now I only use the indefinite mining with standard 3 strikes per ore, and a custom recipe that lets me make 10 lockpicks with 1 iron ore. (I think those should have been in the vanilla anyhow, who-ever heard of an ore vein only producing 3 pounds of ore per month?!?)
farmatyr Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I use the Essential Player mod, and Lockpick Pro... And i always use cheats to get more arrows and bolts...
pinky6225 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 The Bag of Holding mod. This and a ingot recovery mod so i can melt down all those useless iron and steel armor/weapons you find and a couple of mods that reduce carrying weight (lighter potions etc) since I've never been a fan of inventory management systems as they generally conflict with lore/common sense/other game features (i.e if i can hire a cart to take me to whiterun why can i not buy/hire a cart to take to a dungeon and load it up etc)
Molevalence Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I am in the same boat here. I don't cheat at all. I find it brings down the game. I go out of my way to make the game as realistic and harsh as possible. The F5 key has indeed became my best friend in Skyrim. I do quite the opposite. I intentionally mod the game to make it difficult without being unfair. I have a mod running I made that removes magicka entirely from the player and makes health/stamina potions only work on NPC's.I use that with SkyRe on Legendary difficulty. If I die a non-glitch-related death, I load a save in Riverwood at level 1 and start over. Why? Because it makes me behave like a human being, rather than a foolhardy hero god whose primary weapon is the save/load system. okay you got me - I greatly reduced the health of spiders because I hate them On a side note, I am not trying to be hardcore or anything. I play with a rift and like to get immersed in the game, and I can't get immersed in a game with nothing to fear.
bcofer Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 First time through, I only used the "built-in" cheats, like sneaking in the corner, and the "buy iron ingots, forge daggers, enchant, sell, repeat" drill. Kept the unbreakable lock pick, too. Occasional TCL when stuck. Wasted a lot of time trying to sell stuff to merchants, didn't realize after the houses, there really isn't much worth buying. Too easy to be overpowered, still. Ebony bow legendary with fire damage AND soul trap. Later ones, used bag of holding, as the "drop a lot of crap, go home, dump other crap, go back again" got boring. Unlimited rings and amulets (hey, I found them, why can't I wear them?). Balanced by collecting ingredients like an ADHD forager, but doing no alchemy or cooking, ever. Only used shouts and magic when required by the plot. Get baddy dragon down, enter the College, etc. Current play through, using Bag of Trash instead of holding (max out weight, sell looted trash on the spot, repeat). Instead of bag o' holding, haul out magic stuff only. Using a mod that adds the same "enchanted chest" to each house. Never found inventory management much fun, so this minimizes it. Don't do magic, alchemy, cooking, shouts, training. CK'd my favorite armor to clothing. Still, the bad guy stands right next to me when I'm sneaking, and two-three arrows max on most everything except dragons and bosses. So yes, still cheating.
CrimsonOmegaLance Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I use the Essential Player mod, and Lockpick Pro... And i always use cheats to get more arrows and bolts... Essential Player seems to always bug for me. It runs fine, but sometimes it takes like 3 minutes to stand up again. And nothing goes on while I'm down either, all combat stops. I've just installed the live forever mod. So far it seems to be working well + I like the sleep aspect with pumping iron + Sands of Time. I might go to the essential player mod on the steam workshop for a very basic/streamlined one.
DespairSyndrome Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I sometimes just add misc quest items through the console, nobody has time to travel Skyrim in search for 50 tomatoes!
LunaOP Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I don't see any point in installing mods like that when you just can use console. Changing max stats, adding perks, spawning items, quickly warp around the world etcYou can do a lot more.
Dubhorizon Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I have leveler's home. It's the ultimate cheater's house. Only use it when I want to try out new mods like armor etc etc.
Daycrist Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I use the no cooldown on racials mod I suppose that is a bit of a cheat since for some reason after 24 hours my chars racials wouldn't reset
Daycrist Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Here's what I used to do, and it's all in the console: player.modavhealth -50 player.modavstamina -50 player.modavmagicka -75 player.modavcarryweight -270 Yes, those dashes are minus signs. Well who's all hardcore now?
Deedlit Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 i just wanna seen the hardcores trying kill "bosses" monster from colorfull magic using skyre and legendary option lol, i got my ass kicked so many times from that ones (loved the mechanical dragon) .
