almost forgot something i found, thought of one of the creatures planned...

this reminded me of the living moss that doc was talking about on the wiki :D

When I was reading that scene I was like "......Seems legit."

 

But I'm curious' date=' I'm thinking that would give you some sort of enhanced vampirism that would develop differently than the usual. Vampires on steroids...

Either that, or just bind you more tightly to your vampire "sire" than usual. Or possibly a bit of both :)

 

I read over the description and then at the end of it there was a link to download a small amount of the mod to try out what you had done. The link doesn't work however and I was wondering if there is a beta version of this mod available anywhere for download?

 

Yeah' date=' I need to take that down. The old pre-alpha esp got accidentally deleted. No great loss, everything that one did is done better this mod. I'm fairly close to being able to release a version that has some capture mechanics in it, but it needs a lot of debugging yet.

Just out of curiosity i remember you posting up a list of potential release dates but i cant seem to find it, when did you plan on releasing the capture mechanics version? Apologies for asking im just...errm highly interested in giving it a whirl is all :P

I really like reading all of you ideas, I'm supporting this mod and I don't even have a computer that can run Skyrim.

Well, the plan was to have something for this weekend. That's going to have to slip a little. I might meet the deadline, but no way will things be tested to even alpha standards.

 

I am picking up speed a little as I get used to the CK workflow, but current best estimate is April 15th.

I just looked at your resources. You've got a lot approved. Good job. From what I could see, Kendo 2 is quite greedy. I respect him for not wanting people using his stuff in a mod but still.

Credit to the indefategible Windu for chasing down the permissions.

 

Kendo, I seem recall said that some of his stuff used other people's IP, and as such permission wasn't his to give.

Could do. I'm currently looking at bulk copying silent WAV files so NPC lines don't vanish in a microsecond. The trouble is that the stable ones are all vanilla characters, so we'd someone who could do a decent impersonation of the in-game voices. I know Elerneron was keen to try that (back around message 33 or so).

 

I guess that means Elerneron get first refusal, as it were, on the roles. But I'm sure there'll be plenty to go around before we're done here.

Here is an idea for an artifact:

 

Wipsy-wopsy:

 

Short description:

Made by Sheogorath, this staff changes males into attractive but weak females. It can also temporarily change females into mammoths, just because Sheo thinks its funny. Males turn back when the user of the staff is dead.

 

Lore

Sheogorath is known for his sick jokes and strange artifacts. Wabbajack and the Staff of the Everscamp being 2 of them. One time, an extremely arrogant Nord hero, named Haldr, stated that not even Sheogorath could get him mad. Sheogorath appeared before the hero and accepted the challenge. Then, the Madgod created a magical staff, Wipsy-wopsy and gave it to Haldr's rival Fyoli, who happened to be a woman. She used the staff on Haldr, causing him to change into an attractive woman. Fyoli managed to tie Haldr/Haldra up and left her near a bandit lair....

 

After years of sexual abuse, Haldra succeeded in escaping the bandit lair. Sadly for her, Sheogorath had won his bet, as Haldra was now maddened by shame and revenge. When she encountered Fyoli again, she managed to steal the staff, and used it on her. To Haldra's big surprise, the staff changed Fyoli into a mammoth, who immediately started chasing him. Luckily for Haldra, a mammoth hunter showed up, and killed the mammoth. The death of mammoth Fyoli caused Haldra to change back into Haldr, his normal self. But Haldr never quite recovered from being a woman, as people occasionally saw him wearing women's clothing.

I think I'd like to look at sheo's less frivolous side here. (I was going to say "serious", but that's not a word you can use about the Madgod). There are so many aspects of Sheogorath's realm that apply to the SSG: compulsion, nymphomania, masochism, obssession...

 

What I want for sheo is something that comes closer to the darkness in the ducal quests for Mania and Dementia. Ideally combining the aspect of mad urgency and uncontrolled hedonism from the Mania quest, and the dark sado-masochistic overtones from the Dementia side.

 

I know it's a lot to ask, but so much of sexuality falls clearly into sheo's purview, it almost feels like we were short-changed in the SI expansion.

 

Also, I'm not very comfortable with TG , but that's minor in comparison.

Ha ha I just had a funny thought that even if somehow this mod doesn't see the light of day (God forbid!) we could at least make a tabletop rpg campaign out of it! The wiki already has more notes than I've ever seen either of my game masters make so we'd be good to go ^^

I had been considering how that worked too. Up until now, I had imagined it going something like this:

 

You wake up in a slaver caravan and observe that all the other captives are female. You breathe a sigh of relief, realizing that the slavers will have no purpose for you, and possibly even release you once they notice their error. You then here a deep voice in your mind; it says to you, "Think so?" You might recognize this voice as that of Molag Bal. Without warning, you feel every bone in your body shifting and contorting and you black out from the pain in a few seconds.

 

After that, the story would go as usual. That would only work for being captured by the actual guild, however. I don't think it should be possible for unofficial capture of a male PC by something like a bandit cove or forsworn.

 

EDIT: I've installed an interesting mod that might help with radiant questing.

It generates a ton of generic NPCs in each town, so it could help with the repeatable radiant quests that you'll probably be doing a lot of near the beginning.

I am going have to rewrite that part, the amount of confusion it creates. The only case where that happens is if you enter the Dastard with the male slaves option enabled. Then, rather than worry about CTDs from males being gradually morphed into females, I thought I'd force the issue up front.

You should have seen me during my days as a DM. Never went anywhere without a backback with a boxfile full of notes' date=' and two set of card indices.

 

These days I could probably put the whole lot on my phone. That seems sad somehow, don't ask me why.

Oh you played tabletops too? I only ever actually took part in a couple Vampire The Masquerade and Changeling The Dreaming games but I loved them soooooo much!

I have read about that Dastard thing. It reminds me of the short story I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, which is, to say the least, not a nice bedtime story :P.

If a 'graduated' slave does miraculously escape from that place, she would be so mad, that she's ripe for the Shivering Isles.

Another thing: Do you still need me to do some charts or other stuff? If not, I will wait for the first Alpha before writing any new stuff, as I am currently out of inspiration to think of anything myself.

hmm... wonder if it would make more sense in adding it to the resource then the SG mod can make calls to generate NPC's...

would have to set it so that the mods using the resource can place the NPCs in specific locations.

 

when your done figuring it out doc, let me know if you will add it to the SG etc.

hey doc, i tried to send you a PM but the % stuff is all full up... sent it via email.

 

also, i found some information that might interest you...

you can edit scripts strait up from notepad, which should also mean that you can bypass all the retardation in scripting via the CK...

 

if you already found this out, ignore my behind the times news lol.
