I use a Gemma 4 8b uncensored with mantella, 12gb vram it works a treat this mod is very interesting it's a niche that i love exploring, quest giving will change my depraved games

on i side note where does your mod expect to find piper ? I of cause have it buried in the mantella app

Ha, glad to hear it! Gemma 8B on 12 GB sounds like a great setup, and quest giving is exactly the part I'm most excited about too.

About Piper: boopi_mod doesn't look for Mantella's install, it has its own. Go to Settings → Voice: there you install the voice engine and download Piper voices with one click. They're stored in %APPDATA%\BoopiMod\speech\models\piper\ (two files per voice: <voice>.onnx and <voice>.onnx.json). If you have Piper voice models from Mantella, you can try copying those two files into that folder.

One heads-up: content limits are quite strict in this early version. That part is still at an early stage too, so I tightened the screws for now and will loosen them step by step in the next updates.

I have a question: if this is generated by AI, which one is it, and how much will it cost the user? Or is it a free model?

This is a test using a free model https://huggingface.co/Qwen/Qwen3.8-27B.
It can be run on a 3090 or rented on an open router for cents per million tokens. I'll work to ensure that even small models can generate adequate animations that will look perfect with manual tweaking, but for now this is the bare minimum.

Can you tranlate this into English as I can't read your language.

In settings down the bottom left hand there's a option to turn it to english

And here are our very first creations: no manual touch-ups, made entirely by AI from a request in our G.A.M.

I don't know how to comment on the results. I might have a lot to say.
But since you posted it, you probably think it’s "not bad".
In that case, I’ll just keep my thoughts to myself.
I’ll continue to keep an eye on this software, though.

I think most of this has it backwards. The only thing I "monopolize" is my own work. If someone wants something different, they're free to build it. All I ask is that people don't copy what I made and take it as their own. That's about as old a standard as there is.

On NAF Bridge: nobody is stopping anyone from using it. It got distributed anyway, and it didn't live up to the claims. I said beforehand that big promises aren't the same as a working mod, and that's how it played out.

On "work with modders": that's how AAF and the animations and mods around it got built in the first place. It's still what I do pretty much every day, and supporting other authors takes up most of my time.

On AI: sure, it'll probably make it easier for some people to cut corners. I'm not worried about it. I do my own work honestly and I'm comfortable standing behind that.

On money: read the doc I posted. He acknowledged the code was mine and removed most of it, but the project is still set up to earn from mods that were made for AAF. A lot of my time went into supporting those authors: adjusting AAF to their needs, testing, writing XML for them. Legalities aside, repurposing that work for his own project is still profiting off mine. And if it isn't about money, why did it launch on day one with a "how to support me" section, graphics to promote it, and a license to protect it from exactly what was done to AAF?

He partially did, and that's to his credit. But it's not the whole story, and that story is still being written.

its funny, at the end of the day are you not still relying on bethesdas intellectual property to profit or market your work? mods literally. one from a place of modifying something someone else made in the first place, if you want to corner the market on something make your own game, if the game developers had this mindset we wouldn't even have mods. you built aaf around someone else's shit and you want to get salty when someone does it to you. you chose to put all that time and effort into it instead of making something original.

For animations created by AI from nothing but a skeleton, this isn't just decent — it's magnificent. 😇I don't know how many animations you've created using AI. And this is intentionally shown as a raw animation without an auto-optimizer for curves, smoothing, and manual refinement — the first working results. Something like that.🫡

I'm old enough to have been around when Wolfstein was released,it was ,well clunky but I could see it was going to change the gaming world even in it's infancy ,I see the same thing with Ai in gaming and every little step brings us closer,Mantella,Chim and your mod help those steps get larger and better access for those that don't have the skills to "create" keep going mate there's always been a few on LL that  like to shit on others to prove their own worth

I have zero experience creating animations with AI.
However, I have a general idea of what the results should look like.
Yours doesn't quite hit that mark.
If you're interested, you could take a look at what's sold on this website—that’s the best recommendation I can give.

https://animchar.com
Since you're already using AI, there's no harm in setting the bar a little higher.

Oh, nobody's lowering the bar at all! It's just that there's a big difference between an MVP and the finished product. What we have right now is only the MVP — by release, it'll be a whole different story.

cannot reach the boopi_mode core

Thanks for the report! This message means the app window started, but its background core (boopi_mod\core\oldgenai-core.exe) isn’t answering. Most often an antivirus quarantined that file or blocks local connections to 127.0.0.1:47800. Please check that the file exists (if not, restore it from quarantine or unpack the archive again) and add the boopi_mod folder to your antivirus exclusions. Also make sure the app isn’t run from inside the zip. If it still fails, please send me %APPDATA%\BoopiMod\logs\app.log and core.log. 0.1.9 (out today) shows exactly why the core can’t be reached and has a “Copy diagnostics” button.

brother you literally put hostile code in your mod to crash the game if some one is using naf

Hey, can you show us a scene from the game? What you've created is insane, and I think you really understand how to use AI—where both machines and humans work together, with one facilitating and the other correcting. Just one question: what's going to happen with the existing AAF animations?

This won't work with AAF animations, unless animation developers ever create them. However, the mod doesn't conflict with AAF or animations; it can work alongside GAM. You can also try creating your own animations or porting them from Skyrim. I'm currently working on a high-quality animation pack, and they'll be released in the next update.

hmmm how do u start this tho after u download and run the program then open MO2 and start fo4? or is this THE mod manager itself?

Yes, it's a mod manager because it's on Vortex, and I couldn't implement it for MO2. I'm currently testing everything only on a clean game; a FoMod installation will be added soon. I'll also be testing compatibility with other mods, but since the game's story has been completely rewritten, many mods based on the old storyline may not work.

Thanks for the logs. I'll study them and think I can add compatibility with MO2 without any conflicts. I'd still like to make a quick, seamless transition from MO2 in the future if the system is set up, but that will take time. For now, I can only guarantee it will work with a clean game.

You can upload images so it can recognize the pose; gender isn't an issue, and you plan to add effects like liquids and other things.

The animations are Havok, not AAF. They can be launched directly through the console or using other mods. AAF is a tool for launching and configuring animations, as well as a mod development framework.
Therefore, AAF does not hold any exclusive rights to the animations themselves.

And this is a serious drawback.
Because MO2 isn't just a mod launcher, it's a powerful mod development tool that offers effective version control, a secure environment for testing changes, and the ability to connect a wide variety of developer tools to the current build.
