alain31 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Hello, Just a few quick questions; sorry if this was already in the wiki, i read through it but didn't see my answers. Regarding NPCs, will they be able to use the default SexLab voices? And what about mods that add extra voices, like Nusbie voices and SexLab - extra voices are they still useful, or should i disable them? Thanks.
Bigglsby Posted July 27 Posted July 27 5 minutes ago, Lab Student said: What's the difference between the sound packs on this page and the ones on the IVDT mod page? They seem to have the same name. @crajjjj Those posted on this page are converted to the SLOVE structure and have the file pre-configured. They ARE the packs from the IVDT page, just pre-worked. Those from the IVDT page can be used, just need to have the 2 folder names adjusted (IVDT -> SLOVE, F1 -> "name" such as Mukuro). Then the .toml needs to be configured specific to the pack, since it calls out the "name" file structure and if it's A or B pack. This allows multiple packs to be installed and assigned to different NPC's/Followers.
Dragneel013 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Do I need SLATE. IF I use wanna use this mod with the voicepack?

jdub2516 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 So if we using one of the voicepacks (Lily for example), do we have to update anything in the SLO VE .toml file...or something in the Audio Util .toml file...little unsure.
Elizinator Posted July 27 Posted July 27 custom voices arent working at all for me. Using the template didnt work at all. Trying to edit SLOVE_voices.toml to redirect F1 to a custom path and set it for B variation just plain old did not do that [[slot]] # player pack slot - any female pack dropped here wins per category id = "F1" sex = "female" path = 'Sound\fx\SLOVE\XXX' fallback = "F0" gag_slot = "F1gag" # muffled DD-gag voice when the actor wears a gag (see [gag]) variation = "B" is this incorrect in some way? since the folder is formatted for B, i was getting 100% fallback to F0. console said it was attempting to play A-variation folders. i tried with the template zpack config as well, directing to the same folder, but got nothing but fallback. path = 'Sound\fx\SLOVE\F1' and variation = "B" likewise produced 100% fallback

Literally all i did was put my own sounds into the YourPack folder. that is it. made no changes to any ini, but just having the template mod active completely disables the voice function of this mod.
Fatal Posted July 28 Posted July 28 (edited) I worked on this again today and I still don't get any audio, well there is audio but it is the basic vanilla sounds. I have AudioUtil installed, only thing overwriting it is SLO VE. I have SLO VE 0.4.1 installed, nothing is overwriting anything from it. I have one of the audio files from this download installed, set the FOMOD to install for player, or F1. I am getting the same errors in audioutil. F1 redefined by a later config, I'm guessing that is SLO VE? Slot F0B has audio but no config, From the SLOVE_voices.toml I believe these are the default SL voice sounds? Last warning is No audio for slot F1 category 'FemaleOrgasm' but none of the audio archives have that folder so I'm guessing this is on purpose and they fall back to default audio? I changed the log level for AudioUtil to debug and the logs show that audio files are being played, but they are not. I added the new AudioUtil logs. So in that log it lists from time to time that it is playing a SL audio. I believe that is the only thing I'm hearing. Edit: Problem solved, was a mod conflict. Edited Tuesday at 03:04 AM by Fatal

Do NPCs take turns at random using all these voices, or do there need to be six people in the SL scene at the same time to use F6? 3. If I find a good voice that isn’t listed on this page, how do I add it to SLOVE? 1- I think Crajjjj said earlier in the thread that there isn't a theoretical limit to the number of voices that can be added... just functionally limited by the number of viable packs. 2- Voice packs need to be assigned to specific NPCs in config files. Specifics on how to do this are on the wiki site listed on the mod page. So (unless something changes), there aren't randomly assigned voices. 3- There is a template pack in the downloads - with basic folder structures and a .toml ready to be customized. Just drop in the .wav sounds/voices you like into the corresponding folders, name the base folder, and edit the .toml with the respective name from the folder.

And let SLO VE do the work? What about mouth opening? You get the gist..... If someone could make a template mod so we can install it in MO2 and just paste over the things we want. Again.... This not really complaining. It's just that there are so many variables that for the regular user it's confusing. And a big thank you for the modders that break their heads to create these mods. We should respect their time and effort. PEACE. If you're using SLOVE or Hentairim, you should disable expressions in Sexlab - as those mods do full overhaul of expressions much better than Sexlab. PPA has relatively basic expression stuff out of the box, and requires the user (or other) to make a configuration for expressions to be anything more than that. If you're using SLOVE or Hentairim, you don't need to make any changes to the base PPA config. I haven't done anything with SLED, but since it is expression only, it has at best a sampling of what SLOVE or Hentairim offer. You don't really need to do any special configuration to get SLOVE to work. Download audio util - Download SLOVE - Download a SLOVE audio pack. Download SLSO if you don't have it. Install. You an adjust your config to taste, sure. Some of the stock sounds are pretty grating to my ears, and I've overwritten them with others, but all as a matter of preference. The different SLOVE audio packs may not have a voice you're looking for, which may make you dig into the Hentairim/IVDT packs they are based on, and find a different voice. Those packs from IVDT resources WILL need some conversion as explained above, but it's really not difficult - just renaming a couple of the folders, and downloading and adjusting a template .toml (a text format). --- Edit to include the Kinda-but-not-really required SLATE While not absolutely required, the SLATE tags for Hentairim are used by Hentairim and SLOVE to tell the audio/expression systems what is happening on a stage-by-stage basis for each actor. This provides a solid basis for how all the actors should be voiced and expressed. P+ has built in systems that makes these tags LESS important however, so possibly can be avoided there. Slate tag application is a bit of a process, and is done after SLAL has finished registering animations. The process is on the SLATE/OsmelMC page where you got SLU+. The most recent "official" tags can be gotten from the HentairimP+ page, and I have more recently updated/corrected slate tags in that thread. Edited Tuesday at 02:29 PM by Bigglsby 2

I've been working on cleaning up my tagging project, and fighting my own screwups. I haven't tried assigning follower packs, since I'm more in test and check of other things right now. As far as what you need to do in the pack toml, just need to edit to assign what slot to use, if you didn't do it in the fomod (for SLOVE packs), or if you need to change/configure if doing from an IVDT pack. Otherwise, I haven't looked into specifics. But I don't think it's in the basic SLOVE config toml, it may need to be a created override. Directions should be on the wiki page.
