Skyrim CTD on new game

This is my load order. I've spent actual hours trying to figure this out on my own and I can't for the life of me figure out why my game is crashing.

What version of Skyrim are you running? I didn't see a female body in your load order, CBBE is the one most people have been using. Have you tried using one of the many guides for installing these mods, try that. What mod manager are you using, I'm using MO2. I'm hoping you're using LOOT for load order assignments. A lot of missing info here for anyone to help you. Did you setup FNIS properly, that's not an easy thing to do, you have to follow the instructions to the letter in order for it to work right.

Also, at what point exactly are you crashing?

 

Crashing at the Bethesda logo when trying to start a game might indicate a missing master.

 

Anyway, as BDNelson said, you need to provide a lot more information.

Also, when installing mods, you can't just install your entire mod list all at once, or at least you shouldn't.

 

Install two or three at a time.  Start your game and test it.  If all is well, exit and install two or three more.  Makes pinpointing problems a lot easier.

I’ve tried batch uninstalling mods and nothing seems to work.

This is Skyrim LE. And those are just plugins. I have a female body in my mod list I just don’t know how to get a mod list using Vortex. Yeah, I’m not sure if I set up FNIS correctly because additional mods won’t show up in the checkbox list. I’ve followed the instructions to a T, I really have no idea what I’m doing wrong.

Hmmm... sorry, I can't help you, I have SAE .1170 and MO2. Good luck with SLE. May I ask why you're running that version of the game and not SAE .1170?

It's just what I'm used to modding. Idk where to find all the same mods for SE or AE. Like my body mod Clams of skyrim.

Since this isn't Skyrim LE  technical support, what makes you think your problem is related to Sexlab?

Is this an SLE mod? A body mod and\or mod set? The SSE\SAE mods are on Nexus like all the others, with the exception of sex mods on LL, of course. I believe Nexus separates Skyrim LE from Skyrim SE\AE... as far as mods go anyway. I started on Vortex a while ago (years) and discovered MO2, been using that ever since once my brain got used to it that is. I have PTSD from my military service, complex systems are a struggle at best, it took me a while, still don't have it all down the way I should. I'm working on an SAE\MO2 build right now actually, LOTS of sex mods too, yummy.

I was just looking at the link you posted, I'm not positive, but I think that mod IS an SSE\SAE mod and you're trying to install it into an SLE game. Am I mistaken? Idk, maybe I am, I don't recognize that mod.

When I was playing Oldrim, Clams of Skyrim (or COSIO) is what I used.  If I remember right, it's loosely based on CBBE but includes an actual functioning/opening vagina.

 

There may also be a Newrim version now, don't know, but it's likely the OP has an Oldrim body.

That doesn't exactly answer my question, so I'll try to rephrase...  Unfortunately I don't use Vortex (I use MO2) so I'm a little limited in what support I can provide.

 

1 - How are you launching the game?  From Vortex directly or from the vanilla game launcher?

 

2 - Do you have SKSI (the script extender) installed?  If so, and you're using Vortex, do you have to do anything extra to launch the game with SKSE?  (MO2 requires me to manually set up the SKSE launcher but I don't know how Vortex works)

 

3 - You should probably be starting your game through Vortex.  When you click on the play button, then it takes you to the game launch screen.  When you click on "New Game" at what point after that does it crash.  What I was asking before is when you click on "New Game" it will initially take you to a black screen and the Bethesda logo will appear.  If that is where you're crashing, you're probably missing a master file.  MO2 will give me a warning if I'm missing a master, don't know if Vortex does or not.

 

Don't switch to MO2 just because that's what I use.  If you use and like Vortex, better to learn its little idiosyncrasies.  The Gamer Poets channel on youtube might have some good tutorials if you need them.

Looking at the mod list, I wonder if the base game ever worked—that is, without mods?

 

My advice: completely uninstall the game and delete the game directory. It's called the "atomic option."

 

Then rebuild everything from scratch—but damn it, step by step!

As long as the base game doesn't work, there's no point in even starting with mods.

 

We were all newbies here once, and we also failed with such a chaotic approach... but we learned from it.

Will you learn from it?

I went with the atomic option and it just made things worse. The game crashes after the splash screen now... TwT
