cinabunz Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 I wanted to try my hands at seeing how editing and importing models worked. I've managed to texture edit so far with a few mods I've already made. I was trying to do one for Lida. I decided to be cheap about it and just extend certain parts of the model to keep the armature and everything else intact within distance and do a simple model edit. So far I've got to where it imports but for some reason it defaults/swaps certain parts of the mesh/vertices with the opposite texture img being used for the body. I've tried going back into it and fix it a few times but each time I correct it and reimport it with a fresh export it does the same thing again. If anyone has any idea for why it's doing that then I'd appreciate the feedback. I'm still new to all this so I know I'm probably making a very simple screwup somewhere. 2

HpMpAp Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Â She's working... hardly. Does anybody know how to edit the LODs (without just duplicating the base model)? When she is far enough to start moving, she becomes a man hahaha. And I can't find a way to add the skin colour to the legs and neck. Can someone please take a look at that? In one the exporter decided to remove the hair materials, in other to remove all the vertex groups that had physics, and the third time everything seems to work.

I haven't had those issues until this one. The last model edit I tried my hands at was just removing Vinnie's glasses and giving him an alternate suit color etc. which worked out fine for the most part but when I was far away from him he kept his glasses on and kept the red suit I have him. When I got close to him it switched out his low poly model with the normal model and the glasses were gone but still had the red suit. It could be either an issue with the script from blender needing an update that exports the models or it could be an issue with how it uses a secondary model for load distances that it does when it saves on resources and you're too far away. It loads a default model that uses the same textures but it seems to be a different low poly model. I've exported Lida's model like more than a handful of times using different various changes and going over it to make sure it's correct. It seems to change the exact same mesh/textures each time with the same outcome.  I'm honestly not sure but was hoping someone on here may know what it is.

If you plan on using an emulator for testing, then use ryujinx. I've found that many mods don't work on yuzu and its forks. Also make sure your on canary 1.3.169 or higher because the game barely runs on previous versions, and if needed then use the safety save on gamebanana since some people have encounter a crash during the cutscene when you enter lumiose. Other than that pretty much all mods I've found do work on emulator.

Other than that pretty much all mods I've found do work on emulator. Another thing, Trinity loader tends to add an arc folder to literally every mod, however I've been able to remove that folder from any mod and run them without issues on ryujinx so long as there's no other conflicts. The arc folder does literally nothing but cause file replacement conflicts between mods, and from my own testing I can confirm most mods should work fine without trinity loader, with the only need for trinity loader being to run more than one mod that edits the same file, which I've found to be unlikely. If a mod isn't working, then make sure it has no arc folder (same with your other mods) since if you run more than one mod with an arc folder without trinity loader then there will be mod conflicts, but the arc folder doesn't seem to affect the game at all on emulator. I could be very wrong because I myself have no experience with trinity loader but I've been able to safely delete any arc folders that show up and the mods work fine without trinity loader, just the emulator built in loader.

Taunie replaces Urbane.zip 3.4 MB · 1 download I was having a similar problem. I cant say for certain how this will go, but when importing the model, select load mods, then for each lod model, just copy and paste the corresponding model part, for example the jacket part, or shoes. Select the face lod models, go into edit mode and delete all the vertices, then take the duplicated face model and join it to the lod face part. You can then do a decimate modifier to achieve the lod effect, or you can leave it as is. Once you do this same thing for each lod, just do the same export thing I told you to do and it should work. I tried this with Gwynn, with some success, I know that at some point I deleted the actual tr0018_00lod1 and lod2 files, and it worked for me afterwards 2

Nice, Thanks for the heads up. If or when I ever get around to setting up emulation I'll go with ryujinx and do some testing. That's if I can quit being lazy. I do have JKSV on my switch to backup and export my saves which I do every now and then for certain games. So I could just use my original save. I'll keep all this in mind though, specially with how trinity structures the files to work for loading and the emulator not needing the arc folder.

Didn't realize that the other lod models that's used in game could be loaded with a simple click of an option. I need to start paying more attention. Now I can completely remove Vinnie's glasses and see his beautiful face in game. Edited October 29, 2025 by cinabunz Vinnie's Beautiful Face 1
Samanashi Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 (edited) I'm so confused to what my problem could be. Whether I use trinity or not, I come across the same issue. I'm using ryujinx and any mod that I download only seems to work if there's an arc folder included with the download (not including things 60FPS or the LOD mod). I've tried using trinity and it still doesn't reflect the changes. At first I thought my issue was a conflict with the arc folder, but that didn't seem to solve the problem. Upon reading someone's comment that multiple mods seem to work fine without trinity or an arc folder in the first place, I'm a little lost as to what I'm doing incorrectly, can anyone message me for some help? It seems like it could be a promising fix

Yeah, as I said before, I could be terribly wrong with the arc folder stuff. When you go to manage mods do all your mods show up? if some are missing, make sure that the the folder structure for the mod is a folder with the mods name, then the romfs/exefs folders, then the replacement folders/files. If you are missing the mods name folder and the romfs is loose in the mods directory, then create a new folder and put the romfs inside of it. If you are missing a romfs/exefs folder, then make one and put the other folders in the specific mod's folder into the romfs. Heres how I have mine laid out using the mable lipstick restoration mod as an example Mods directory: Mod specific folder: romfs:
ItsAFoxMan Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Can't seem to get the Nude player mod working with the HD mod. They have the conflicting arc folder and one or the other can't be removed without causing either mod to not work. And using Trinity to combine the two creates a "romfs" folder that contains an "arc" and "romfs" folder inside the 1st romfs folder. And inside the 2nd romfs folder is another "arc" folder and others stuff. Using nightly trinity mentioned on page 1 of thread. Attached are how my files are looking after hitting "apply mods" via trinity. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, pardon my ignorance.

The romfs folder inside the romfs folder shouldn't be there as far as I know. Take everything out of the second romfs folder and put those folders in the base romfs folder. One of the mods folder structure is wrong

sinonwastaken Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 I think the hd mod structure is wrong, i think it should be hd/field, hd/light and hd/ui
