The romfs folder inside the romfs folder shouldn't be there as far as I know. Take everything out of the second romfs folder and put those folders in the base romfs folder. One of the mods folder structure is wrong

The thing is though, is that (aside from renaming these) this is how the mods folders are laid out after downloading them (unsure why it's making a 2nd romfs folder when it doesnt do this for SV mods afaik). There's still the conflicting arc folder which I'm unsure on what to do with

Yeah, as I said before, I could be terribly wrong with the arc folder stuff. When you go to manage mods do all your mods show up? if some are missing, make sure that the the folder structure for the mod is a folder with the mods name, then the romfs/exefs folders, then the replacement folders/files. If you are missing the mods name folder and the romfs is loose in the mods directory, then create a new folder and put the romfs inside of it. If you are missing a romfs/exefs folder, then make one and put the other folders in the specific mod's folder into the romfs. Heres how I have mine laid out using the mable lipstick restoration mod as an example

Mods directory:Screenshot2025-10-28194116.png.42540f3291d19db22484f590f4853f12.png

Mod specific folder:Screenshot2025-10-28194133.png.00bcfcdbb2b10a16be97848be2ca7a8e.png

romfs:

That's how I've set mine up too. Just to compare.

Yeah, the PLZA HD MOD assumes you are only using the hd mod, it wasnt structured with other mods being used in tamdem with it, hence why it includes both the romfs folder and the arc folder. It should just be PLZA HD MOD, then the field, ik_chara, light, and ui folders inside

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm pretty new to modding emulations, and I can't seem to figure out how this trinity mod loader thing works. I wanted to install that bustier Lida mod and a goth Canari mod, but they said I needed this thing to do it. Is there some tutorial on how to properly get this loader up and running? What little I have been able to come across either details how to make and package the mods or just assume you've already set up Trinity...

The first page, about half way down, has a tutorial

I think the hd mod structure is wrong, i think it should be hd/field, hd/light and hd/ui

This HD mod was made by a user named vierock and the folder paths for each one is as follows:
romfs

---> ui -> data -> title_menu -> 3 title_menu files, 1 fre, 1 eng, 1 default
---> light -> master -> master -> world_shadow.bntx
---> arc -> data.trpfd
---> field -> share_tex -> 3 folders named "t3" "t2" and "t1" with a bunch of sub folders.
---> ik_chara -> model_cc_ir -> 4 folders in this, two of which are -rival_f/-rival_m and -co_member_m/-co_member_f folders.

With how it's laid out, it works well ingame with no issues on Ryujinx Canary. Haven't found anyone that's made their own HD mod with a different file structure/less problematic than this one as far as combining mods goes

All the folders inside are fine. It just that it wasnt made with other mods in mind, if you just dragged this mod into an Emulator it would work just fine, but if you are using other mods with it, you'd need to edit the zips files folder structure like I said above this. There is a modding guide for scvi that specifically says that having the romfs folder is the wrong way to structure a zip file

You right.
I'm using the HD texture mod right now on my actual switch with no performance impact.
If I remove the "arc" folder and rezip it, then add it into trinity mod loader with my other mods, they all work with no issues.
I even fixed a few texture issues that it had at one point.
Then realized I could give the research lab a bit of Halloween spirit.
Even made a Halloween themed menu.

I'm posting the HD one here in case anyone can make these two mods work together. I'm too ignorant on everything and I've tried different methods.

Edit: Fixed the issue under this post.

Still leaving this file here for those who want it. File does include a changed title menu (as the original edit was in French + has a Japanese DLC button with the OG poster's name plastered all over that people didn't like) + has the lab change edits from another user.

Yeah, I saw that tutorial, but it still doesn't really help. For example, Trinity always loads with an error message saying it can't find something called a trpfs/trpfd, which I have no idea what that is. Am I supposed to put the mod zips in the same folder as the loader, like that tutorial screenshot has it? And even when I do get to add the mods in question, it won't let me apply them.

If thats the only error, click file -> open romfs and find your game dump, it should be fine after that, or you can click open file descriptor and go into the arc folder from your game dump and click the data file. Then you can add mods

Turns out I'm really dumb. So I removed the arc folder from the HD mod. And my problem was that I was zipping the wrong set of folders. First I was zipping the mod folder itself (zipping HD mod folder -> romfs and Nude mod -> romfs) which didn't work then I tried to zip the romfs folders themselves, which that also didn't work.

So now I tried zipping the field, ik_chara, light, ui folders from the HD one and the arc + ik_chara folders from the nude mod, putting those two .zips into trinity, and now it works.

lol I got to it a tad too late and didn't see that you already done it.
But just incase anyone else wants it and doesn't feel like going through the hassle then here's the HD pack and Nude pack both in one that you can just drop into your directory.
Works on switch and emu.

I finally managed to get it recognizing the dump file (ended up having to use a freaking Google AI summary), but game still isn't loading or seeing the mods. I applied them all separately with Trinity, copied the resulting romf folder's contents into a blank folder in the game's mod directory, made sure they were enabled in the ryujinx mod manager, but still nothing. The only mod that I can get to work is the nude player mod that was posted in here, and that's only because it's the only one that's simply drag and drop. Gothic Canari, Boobier Lida, and No Mask Canari all won't work for me.

Don't apply separately. Put every mod into trinity loader, enable them all and the apply. If you apply a mod, and delete files that arent required, it'll cause the emulator to endless load. It has to be loaded all at once

Okay, I redid the application and did all three mods at once. I haven't deleted anything, and moved the romf folder into an empty folder in the mod directory, but still nothing. I'm starting to think these mods are just broken...

I had the exact problem you did with the same mods. Idk if this is normally how you're supposed to do this but this is how I solved the issue. I took the model_uq folder from inside the Boobier Lida folder, combined all the files from Gothic Canari and No Mask Canari into that tr0015_00_ga_boss folder, and put that inside the model_uq folder, and then made a .zip file called ik_chara and put them all in there. Then put that .zip into trinity, made a folder inside the mod directory, shoved the romfs into that folder and it worked. Hope this helps!

So, i've been at this for a few hours now, can someone please give me a version of the nude mod where the player still wears shoes? I cant seem to get it to work for me[the modloader keeps crashing, the version of the mod I made that I thought was functional keeps either crashing or giving me eternal loadscreens] and i'm on my last nerve with this.

This did get it to work, thank you so much! However, it didn't initially. I finally realized something I had been neglecting to check this whole time: the nude player mod I was running was for some reason negating the other mods, or even anything touched by Trinity specifically. As soon as I disabled the nude mod, the other three activated like nothing happened. And after a quick test, I confirmed that the nude mod (HDNude now) also will not work even if you compile it along with the others in Trinity. I don't understand why this is, but at least I've found my issue. Kinda sucks because I really like the nude mod...

I just tried out the nude mod and it'll work too, but you gotta to do the same process for the nude mod that you just did. Add the contents from the ik_chara in the nude mod and add it to the zip you made earlier, put it in trinity again and voila!

Figured I'd leave this here: this is a .blend with official base models from the game Honkai Star Rail. I downloaded this a while ago and just realized the Boy model type (left-most here) might be useful for us interested in seeing a Paxton/Urbain nude mod? It's fully weighted, though it'd need some editing and of course texturing.

Idk, maybe it'll be of use 🤷‍♂️

Jmedias modeling tip did the trick. Now all I need to do is fix the textures and the small animation errors around her legs, then I can do the other options, like an actual partial nude version, a full nude and ill even try doing some small animation changes, since the plugin seems to allow exporting of animations

So I'm still trying to export models and I'm slowly figuring out how to "cheaply" import them into the game. I wanted to test Canari out so I made her a bit thick in the top and bottom region. Even gave her a little top hat.

The problem is I completely forgot that I have no encounter with her besides when she's sitting at her gaming chair.

I don't have a save backed up either for when you fight her or during any other event. So I can't really test it out.

I'm far from done with the model but I'm trying.
I'm also not that great at modeling. I can do basic shapes but sometimes it works out for me.

I just wanted to give it a test run to see if it even works.

If anyone's feeling up to trying it out and giving feedback that'd be appreciated.

out of curiosity, is Lida and Emma fully modeled under their jackets? that would be a cool mod if they are, also did anyone made a mod to replace all the skorts with actual skirts yet? seems like there's no real skirt on this game, feels like censorship
