I don't agree with how he handled the situation, or the situation in general, but you should always get permission first imo.

 

When you explain it like that, I supposed I get it. But even the non character alterations are usually just models ripped from elsewhere. Again permissions are polite, but I personally think credit is good enough

I still stand by having a sister site for NSFW mods. Would just avoid more drama in general, plus have more freedom for broader types of NSFW mods, and not just soft-porn stuff.

 

This is progress, though. Good to see they put him in his place.

No void nonsense. She's wearing a two-piece cyan swimsuit underneath the frilly clothing, and her dark variant is a fully modelled one-piece swimsuit under the skirt. 

I don't see why the mod would be removed. Sure, Sage is showing more skin than usual but she's not showing any naughty bits. It's just normal swimwear.

If anything, it'd be pathetic if it does get removed or if some prude even reports it. Like, have you never been to a beach or swimming pool before?

Not that anyone needs that mod's resources anyway, there's already an accurate Sage mod so to speak (since the game's release lmao).

If you want the thicker models to wear the swimsuits, you'd have to remodel them yourself to fit the new proportions.

 

Edit: Got confused there, that comment was for the Vanilla mod.

Yah I was confused too cause they didnt say what mod it was in reference too. That was about the new Vanilla mod not the Sage one. Asking about the sage one is kinda pointless cause it will ofc be no. (which is one of the problems of asking modders for stuff like that.)

CREATE DOWNLOAD PAGES FOR YOUR MODS!!!

Instead of having all these files thrown about in a forum thread, put these up on this site so it'll be easier for people who are already on this site to find your stuff!

Honestly, maybe you should take this as an opportunity to update your mods, or add variants! Like, for example... Catnatic could separate their nude model mods from the modded UI that came with it for the mods that they haven't done so yet, thus decoupling one half of their mod from another. KuromiCola could create panty variants for their skirtless OG Miku mod (lingerie...?), and honestly, anything else you guys can think of, it's a good chance to review your stuff and add to it.

 

Seriously just having an entire section goes a long way in accessibility and preservation of these mods, we need to use this to the fullest extent!

I'm glad all the underage moderator nonsense is over, and this thread's focus can go back to mods. That was a whole thing that I was just lurking around reading, that was crazy.

@Catnatic I'm enjoying all the stuff you've been doing, and look forward to seeing your updated mods on the new dedicated Downloads page. I also look forward to seeing your interpretations of the other characters you plan on doing.

On a side note, I still hope that once nude mods are done for every character who needs them, we can eventually start seeing even more lewdy outfit mods. The main one I wanna see for Rouge is to make her chest piece transparent, which might be difficult because the boobs would have to be modeled underneath, maybe with some squish if they're static, or collision and squish if they have jiggle. I'm personally a fan of seeing lewd/skimpy versions of characters' default outfits, so seeing that for other characters would be wonderful.

And honestly, it is refreshing using SFW stuff from time to time, so I'm not that bummed out about it.

I also think it would be nice to see a teen/adult Cream. Taller than a lot of the other characters, she could probably work over Miku. Even Miku's little dancey animations would look cute on an older Cream

I'm happy to see there was some interest in this and I'd honestly be willing to throw some money at someone to make this happen.

Rocheste's Sage body with the outfit from Haise's Miku mod (with a few color/texture tweaks) is pretty much exactly what I was thinking of.

 

If anyone is interested in doing this (or knows anyone that is), please let me know!

Yah, I dont like having everything NSFW either. i like it interspersed. My AI skins are a lot of SFW stuff like Zeena, Marine, Midna (if people even count midna as SFW anymore in this day and age >_>)  etc. I like the juxtapostiion of switching from a clean character and getting sudden tiddies in the face.

Agreed. Seeing future interpretations of characters like Cream and Sage is one of my niche favourite things from Sonic character design.

 

And/Or how about a young Vanilla? That'll make for a cute Cream (especially AI Racer) replacement.

Imo credit should be enough at times, but its mainly the NSFW aspect of it that gets to people. From my experience, no one really minds if you make a mod that tweaks, adds or recolor/change the appearance of X or Y, as long as credit is given and respect the original creator. But NSFW, unfortunately, just has a "ick" to it for most people, which I get to an extent, as not everyone wants to be associated with NSFW on a SFW account. Even if they didn't have a hand in the NSFW mod to begin with. Its a tad irritating imo, since basic nudity shouldn't be an "ick", nor light NSFW in general, but its understandable still.

 

Basically, its mainly, unfortunately, the NSFW aspect of it that gets to people, which is why permission is important there. Even if its a model ripped from else where, low effort or not. I agree credit should be enough, but its courtesy to still ask, ya know.
