Not really, NiGHTS is canonically genderless but the games show he mirrors the gender of the current player character. So he can be either/or, or just up to preference

However, there's also the matter of textures for normal mapping and metallic/roughness/occlusion mapping.

Basically, if I want to make this model look as good as the belly version in-game, I have to fix up those textures due to UV mapping being changed.

I think NSFW Sonic mods should've been the thread to discuss about the nonsense happening at GameBanana, Discord, or whatever, since that thread isn't specific to any game and could be treated as general discussion for NSFW mods in Sonic games.

Technically yes, as there's a difference between using the base, in game model to make a model, be it a edit, overhaul, or small adjustment. Vs taking the edited model someone already put work and effort into and just adding on to it, without permission to do so. Its like if you take an artists work, say, fanart of Sonic and Tails, and traced it or drew over it. Yes, they don't own Sonic and Tails, but they still made the art. Low effort or not.

 

I don't agree with how he handled the situation, or the situation in general, but you should always get permission first imo.

Source on this? I agree with Catnatic that it would be better to start focusing on mods again rather then all the drama. If he's actually gone, then we can finally move on.
