Cant figure out how to post screenshots but this is what GB admin "Allen Scott" had to say when i sent in a support ticket questioning why Nock was allowed to be a gm and why the other gms were allowed to act the way they have been:

 

"GameBanana’s minimum age requirement is 13 for US users and 16 for EU users. The user in question is 17, which is within our allowed age range to hold a Game Manager position. Historically, we’ve also had managers younger than 17 overseeing sections that occasionally receive NSFW submissions without any compliance or safety issues. Encountering such content is an inherent part of moderating open-submission communities unless a manager chooses to disable visibility settings.

 

Nothing in our operations constitutes “exposing them to inappropriate content” nor does the site compel any user, staff included, to view explicit content."

STILL WEIRD but is he not SEEKING NSFW mods out to scrap based upon his personal preference???? Also he should still be removed for spear heading people on twitter leading to modders who don't share his outlook to be harassed.

I find it deeply troubling that minors are knowingly allowed to be gms and that the admin felt admitting theyve had younger gms somehow makes this okay.

 

Also yeah the kid has been going on a damned crusade and the higher ups seem to be more concerned with how hes technically not breaking any site rules, but then those rules end up being really questionable

Um yea US law clearly states that anyone under the age of 18 is forbidden from seeing NSFW content. If that site is openly admitting to allowing mods in underage and allowed to see NSFW content they are breaking US law. They can allow users under age 18 but they need to be restricted from seeing NSFW. Even if they are allowed to hold a GM postion they shouldnt be able to moderate NSFW per US law.

In another part of that same response, because i mistakenly called one of the gms an admin, he also felt the need to very pedantically explain the sites hierarchy of authority, so it really does seem this guy cares more about semantics than taking action

"Devieus is not an Admin, they are a Super Moderator.

 

Hierarchy is as follows:

 

1. Super Admin (tom)

2. Admins

3. Super Moderators

4. Moderators

5. Senior GMs

6. Junior GMs

7. Users

8. Guests"

 

They still refused to elaborate on the differences in authority or how that matters, if a super moderator is still knowingly letting Nock act out like this.

Well this is how you solve that. If you live in the USA you report the site to the authorities for allowing children to view pornographic content. Then the site will either be taken down or they will be forced to make changes to adhere to law. Either way they will have hefty fines and leagle trouble including jail time. Anyone who acts this way shouldnt be running anything.

I used the Nock mod as a base because I didn't feel like rigging it. Rigging a face is a lot harder than rigging a body. Facial rigging takes a lot of time and effort. I only used the head model and the materials. I didn't have to include voice, music, UI, and name text. I thought including it would make the mod look good. I was trying to do less work. I think it is stupid to use the same rip of the original model and work on it myself.

Nobody but the original game's creator owns the models. Any mod done is using the original game creator's work and doing the same thing they would then complain about someone doing to "their own" work.

I'd say GB is effectively dead at this point. We should probably spread the word to twitter/other places that we have a mod page now. It'd at least be easier than trying to do google drive links that'd get easily lost i'd think.
