This works just fine with LE if you recompile or unpack the BSA as described BUT you must also change the header in the ESP from 1.71 (Aniv edition) to 1.7 (LE/SE) or LE wont even load the esp at all. (ofc if one is going to keep said esp installed they should also run a form 44 to 43 conversion as-well to help ensure you don't get save corruption)

[I have included a ESP converted to 1.7 & Form 43 for anyone that needs such to use this with LE]

SexistCommentary.esp 131.44 kB · 6 downloads

wow., thanks, I play on LE been trying to convert myself but this tech stuff is over my head im just a player not a modder ...so how do you use this file if I may ask?

You'd download the whole mod and replace the existing esp with mine in your case.

Ahh., thanks. Would you have something for the voice files too? I take it as is will not work with LE.

the voice files will work just fine in SE or LE, its the same format. So long as they have been unpacked from the SE formatted BSA. Its just meshes and textures that usually have to be 'converted' as far as loose files go.

That might be a problem with the conditions. Maybe you're in an area where no commentary exists yet.

I see maybe that might be the issue then. Would there be a place I can go to check to make sure they're working? I currently am trying to get the narrator lines to work since I'm still trying to figure out how to make the player lines work properly with DBVO. I'm not sure if it is DBVO, but I figure its the only other thing that could be affecting the lines.

Anywhere in the wilderness, in the streets of a city (Whiterun, Solitude, ...), in an inn, those are all definitely possible. A Draugr tomb should work as well

Commentary during SL scenes is a great addition. Loving this mod so far, I know narrator is a big part of this mod but it is something I like to keep turned off. The NPC comments and SL scene dialogs is something i am really looking forward to.

Thanks I tried checking those locations out and it seems there are still no lines. Is it possible I installed the voice lines incorrectly? I merged the two files in mod organizer was that incorrect to do?

Normally there should be no issue then. Do you only miss lines from your player character or does nothing play at all? Do you get comments by NPCs or by the Narrator?

I think I'm getting voicelines from npcs, but nothing from the player at all. I figured it must be dbvo, but I made a new save without it and it still had no player voice lines. I downloaded the voices and didn't mess with the bsa and just merged it with the main file.

would love to use it since its newer then sexist guards, but with there be any planned gender detection for male pcs/compactibility for devious followers or simple slavery where the guards recognize my women, kinda like how

is for sexist guards? im not interested in being catcalled as a dude and think its hotter for my owned women to be instead

For now, it's purely written with a female player character as target.

Maybe someone might create some kind of addon or something, that should be possible quite easily, especially for narrator lines. As for now, I don't intend to add this feature, as I play a female character myself ^^

Is there a possibility of a version of this mod that doesn't have the player or narrator lines?

No offense--you should be proud of the work you've done on them. Great concept for those who are into that.

But I just want something that adds sexual/derogatory comments from npcs. Narrator and player voice lines change the entire feel of the game and that's not what I'm looking for.

At the very least, is it possible to modify the plugin in TESEDIT to remove those lines without breaking the mod?

thanks !

Those Narrator and player comments are the main feature of this mod, so probably no ^^

There are plenty alternatives out there that add all kinds of comments to NPCs already, some are even linked in this thread ;) I'm quite sure you'll find something for your taste. Alternatively, you just could set the chance for Narrator lines to zero and deactivate player comments. This won't remove them but they won't play anymore.

Oh, yeah, being able to disable them in game is exactly what I'm looking for, thx :D

How difficult would it be to get the PC lines to use the voice of https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/131855?

In theory it would be not that hard to implement, I'd need a few minutes of the original voice as sample and add that to the pool of voice types.

The main problem is the time. Each new voice type adds more to the creation time. I already try to only create delta lines (so newly added ones), still based on how many voice types one line has and how many lines I addedsince last creation we easily talk about a few hours of pure creation time

I tried the mod and especially the narrator feature is very interesting. I understand it takes lot of writing and scripting to detect states locations etc.. That the narrator feels right it would almost need to figure adjective like e.g. player entered dungeon "Hero stood boldy at the dungeon entrance heading in." againt weak low level "Dragonborn peeked inside the darkness. " Some of the narrations would be reusable but then again you wouldnt like to fire same narration for same stuff everytime so you would have to track each event which is thanks to the quest system possible to some extended but new places would feel good place for narration. And sadly to make it really feel like it is for the event it would have to be triggerable for the specific place where the PC runs etc.

Its huge amount of work. Thanks for giving it a thought though.

Heyho,

Currently I aim into a hybrid of those two: I track general types of locations (cities, dungeons, ...) and circumstances (aroused, naked, ...) and then combine those with some general lines that fit into this setup. Meaning, walking naked through a city can trigger a fitting comment regardless of the specific city. I think of them as "generic atmosphere" comments ^^

Maybe later on I get more specific, but as you said, this would require a huge amount of lines one would possibly hear only once or twice per playthrough. Even though this would add a huge amount of soul to the mod, which I'd absolutely love to do, I still consider it to be too small in "generic atmosphere" stuff. Those lines you will hear more often, as such you'll need quite an amount of them as well.

Sadly I currently don't really have that much time to add many lines to the mod, be it generic or specific ones. I already added a few since the last release but it seemed to be not enough to verify a new release. Additionally, I deem myself not that good as a writer to be able to really transport all the different stuff I want to.

So basically, the long-term goal for this mod, if I'm able to keep motivated is like this:

  1. create a foundation of generic lines to build the general atmosphere
    1. have enough variation to not hear the same two lines over and over again
    2. build up some "tendencies" for different kinds of inhabitants; rude bandits, misogynic guards and men, pitiful or contemptous women, ...
  2. create generic lines for certain circumstances to have enough variation with those; being naked, tied up, aroused, ...
  3. add specific commentary lines throughout the big quest lines, not in specific order:
    • main quest
    • Dark Brotherhood
    • Mages Guild
    • Thieves Guild
    • ...
  4. add specific comments to specific named NPCs and famous locations (might be bundled with quest comments)

I'm still at point 1, with a bit of point 2 sprinkled in between for feasability tests ^^

I have to admit, I did hope for the ChatGPT adult mode to launch in December, I wanted to try if it's able to produce some good lines ^^

Why ChatGPT? Have you tried Grok?

love the idea of this mod and I do enjoy the narrator and the PC's comments.  But the NPC comments?  The phrasing is just very off, at least in English.  There were only a couple that made sense, like the warning about going to the inn at night may be dangerous.  A typical generic NPC comment was something odd about women are for fields and furs and all else is an illusion,  and this was voiced all over the College of Winterhold, where there are female master wizards all over the place.   It's weird and very jarring. Especially compared to the narrator and PC comments, which are expressed in normal English, easily understood and fit the narrative.

But as I play more with this, I've gotten several player lines cut off prematurely,  something like "I better be careful in this tomb, I don't want draugr . . . .  There was also a line about spiders being creepy, I heard they lay their eggs in . . . .

Not exact quotes, but there are a few where the voice cuts off before the end of the line.

I do hope you find time to rewrite those generic comments (the ones in English) to make them more like the ones in the SLSF Comments mod, where they fit the character and what she is doing and where she is located.  The reason why I'm not playing SLSF Comments is because it contains some very long and involved side quests, which I didn't want to replay or even interact with.

And yes, I think the NPC comments around the College of Winterhold should reflect that environment.   Maybe one NPC might comment to the other, I bet that new student wants to study sex magic!    Or,  I wonder if I should warn that student about the horny creatures in the midden, she looks like easy prey.

For generic comments, a male NPC might say something about how woman should give up on taking bounties, she's better off spending nights on my furs.  She's just kidding herself if she thinks she'll succeed as a mercenary.   That's a comment that would work in taverns, inns, towns and cities, where you have adventurers and mercenaries traveling through.  It doesn't really work in a college setting.

I do hope you accept the offer from the kind person who offered to assist you with the NPC lines.  I've noticed that a lot of AI stories make noticeable mistakes in their English translations/narrations.

I appreciate though that you continue to work on this and haven't abandoned the project!
