Having a number of problems here at this time. I'm not sure if it ever worked for me before . . . i mean if it did, I wasn't trying to do anything other than doink around.

This time however, it mostly crashes at various times.

1) problem: in the open dialog, dropping down the folder list hangs the program. Sometimes it's terminal, sometimes not. I realize that this is the one place where it could potentially be windows, but this is the only program where I have that problem. (is it reading the whole tree?)

2) problem:

TLDR msg: AttributeError: 'bone_' object has no attribute 'scale'

3) problem:

  • CBBE template (not bodyslide), XPMSE 2.0 (Aug 2 rls) skeleton, settings same as above.
  • output

Is xpmse just rigging and not a skeleton?

4) problem: The one time it didn't crash -- somewhere in the midst of various attempts -- I didn't use a skeleton template at all.

It produced CHUD. cuirass_1.nif

All the above was produced with v87, but that's I think irrelevant as I was having the exact same problems with 88b and 81.

After a bit of playing, I have to say this works really pretty well. The only issued I've been running into are when I select BBB bones, I get an error saying no bones to copy right after is says preparing to write nif. I see there's some scripts for trouble shooting which drop me into what I guess is a python shell, but I have no idea what to do at that point. The other issue is that some bodies, mainly 7B-based bodies, have multiple skin partitions in the dismemberment partition, and only one gets copied over, even with replace skin partitions.

Just tried portable version of this programm and for some reason it can't or don't want to save completed files in any directory. Is that mean something went wrong and I can't see any saved nif's because of that?

I hope development continues on this tool, this is an excellent start to what will become part of nearly every developers tool box, Kudos to you and nice job thus far. :exclamation:

Same thing here. It appears to run, but there are no converted files anywhere, designated location or not. I assume it's something I'm doing wrong - I need to dig into this a little deeper.

U can always check the log files created in the "save" folder. I had the exact same issue when I first started using the program but when i found the log files i read through and seen where the program closed. My issue was I was trying to convert an armor with the body mesh removed from the .nif. For me, if a .nif is missing an included body mesh then I need to check "Both" for the gender. I don't know if it's meant to that or not but if I choose "Female" only with a "target" .nif that is missing an included base body mesh, the program will close when specifying gender.

Make sure you check the logs you will get a basic idea of where the program closed and from there you can troubleshoot accordingly.

Shit just noticed that this was the Mesh rigger thread and not the Clothing Converter thread. Advice still stands, check your log files.

That is what can I see in the bottom of log file. I think the last message must be about saving files to my directory. I just can't understand why this tool do not want to save files if there is no errors(

By the way , i found it's possible to move some vertices ( and yes,  only one too and not the "whole" mesh ...) just with NifSkope, but it's not easy , especialy if there is (are ?) a lot of polygons.

But that's another story i 'll probably talk about , but i need some investigations first .

Cheers.

What is the need to move some vertices?

Greetings.

Hi & @  Nepro : sorry i cannot sent you a PM , so i open once again this post just to tell you that now i did it !

I'm back and easing my way back into coding this tool.

I'm going to try and read through all of the relevant threads and posts that I've missed, but please, if you have any up to date feedback, bug reports, etc post here and let me know how everything is working.

Thanks.

Hello Gerra, here is my previous message about your programm. Maybe you can help me to find why I can't see any saved files after convertation?

Fantastic tool thanks for this, after a little trail and error just managed to convert some clothes and a body mesh to bouncy, great stuff thanks again.

ok i give up after tikiering with this for several houtrs ang getting no or negative results i have come to the conclusion that this is beyond me.

I am attempting to add bounce to the daughters of areas body what i followed the picture tutorial provided by vareene on page 2  the source target i selected was   femaleupperbody.nif a mesh i that i know has bounce because it works flawlessly on my other save game the modified target is femaledroidbody.nif  the destination is a made up folder to house the results prgram does it s thing and appears to work i then copy the modified meshes to my instaltion folder and run the game to test and nothing , the one time i got a result  was negative and i had to delete that whole install of fallout and replace from a back up so what am i doing wrong here please pm me

Tough to say.

But no single nif, no matter how badly it gets screwed up, should require you to reinstall Fallout.

Post the nifs you are working with (the template nif and the target nifs), as well as the output you received and the log file, and I'll take a look and see if the problem was a bug or something else. And yes, the tool *definitely* has bugs that I have not yet fixed. I just don't know if the problem you are having is due to a bug or something else.

Just wanted to say thanks for this again - I'm still using the latest version of the tool. I'm finding it especially useful for copying rarely used bones from vanilla meshes, like the Pauldron and Skirt weights.

my experience with modding runs no further than installing mods and doing over writes and occasionally using geck to look up form ids  how do i generate a log file?

edit: i doubt that the issue that made me have to re-install had to do with this as well its not the only thing i was trying to make work it was just the primary activity

I understand.

Every time one of my tools is run, it generates a log file in the /save/ folder, normally located in the same folder that my tools were installed into.

There should be two types of files in the log folder, .log files and .cfg files. The .cfg file stores the last used settings of the tool, the .log file stores data about the last time the tool was run.

update bump: after messing with some more i have made a biiiit of progress i think the boobs still don't move but now i have these odd shapes sticking out of the character model on the arms and legs that bob in time to the motion of my character

This is amazing for the people who have a background with this and understand what to do. For those of us that are clueless...it's like putting a ribeye steak cooked just the way you like it behind a plate glass window lol.

Spent a couple of hours trying to convert a BBP piece of armor to TBBP HDT and it just keeps erroring out without saying why lol. (there's nothing in the output folder). Oh well.

Hey there.

First of all - thanks to author for this excellent tool.

Unfortunately I am experiencing some mesh dissapearing issue - unfortunately site doesn't allow me to paste a link to a video that well describes the problem. When I play the game my model is visible in first as well as in third person view both. When I have my custom weapon equiped ( bow ) and then I save game and load it - then the model dissapears. I have to enter the inventory, reequip the weapon to make it visible again.

Has anyone encountered this before ?

I am using 3ds Max, Niftools, Mesh Rigger and Nifskope v.1.1.1 and the "Auto Sanitize Before Save" was set to off if I rememeber correctly.

With love

so i figured out what i did wrong

edit now if i can just figure out how to make the breasts size match

You can always give Clothing Converter a whirl.

Latest Public Version Beta .085a:

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/27557-new-clothing-body-style-converter-release-candidate-v072-3-30-2014/?p=759661

It's primarily designed to convert bodies, clothing, and armor from one body shape to another. You'll generally get the best results when converting between bodies that use the same UV standard (texture) or with reasonably similar body shapes.

Note: I'm currently in the midst of a major refactoring/rewriting of my tool framework.

Ok, so far I have been loving this tool, it has allowed me to rig things infantely better than Bodyslide ever could. So I decided to try to rig a lingerie set that has consistantly given me issues in my past attempts. I'm not going to lie, I was expecting SOME kind of BS from this particular mesh because of all of the problems I've had with it in the past, but I wasn't expecting anything like this.. I mean this is actually kind of creepy, like something out of a horror game, lol.
