I mentioned it because it's been bantered about yet (Even at EA HQ) EA ITSELF ADMITTED it pkanned to keep selling us Expansion Packs & other shit for (What was then) the next TWO YEARS lnowing it was based & built on a 10+ YEAR old rendering engine & other associated technology as they KNEW (At the time) NO ONE could compete with them & BECAUSE of that (And their "If you can't BEAT 'em, BUY 'em mentality (Remember how they fared with SIM CITY??)), THEY HAD A MONOPOLY

 

Plus, their business model is based around their SPORTS games in which THEY ARE PAID BY THE LEAGUES tp keep updated with the latest & greatest Gaming Technology, They don't get paid by anyone to keep The Sims 4 updated with the same technology. So (In THEIR world) WHY SHOULD THEY?? 

 

Well as the developers of Inzoi have QUICKLY demonstrated, THOSE DAYS ARE OVER

 

Wuth the launch of Inzoi, EA HAS to be looking for the SEMI TRUCK that just (In their view) AMBUSHED them

Well as far as I know the most they may do is block such mods in Korea. I doubt they would allow them on any official website. Because ya know that may cause alot of controversy for them if it was plastered on their official website. Hopefully people are smart enough to only upload here, nexus, or other third party mod sites.

Should we even bother wasting our time? Will there really be official mod tools?
Since the game might just get abandoned, if the dev goes bankrupt or something.

this is all like 8000 faps away. still plenty of time for everyone. for moders to make some coffee money, for players to enjoy the game. also, devs can move out to another country if things get tight there. chill, give it some time.

Not sure if you are serious, even for doomsayers the "game over tipping point" for South Korea is 2060. We are currently 2025. 2060-2025 = 35 years. The Sims went from TS1 to TS4 in only 25 years. Pretty sure InZoi and its multi-billion dollar developer Krafton has plenty of time and money. And official modding tools will start coming next month. Next month.

 

In 1925, the projection was by 1960 the world will ran out of food when population reaches 3 billion people. Today we are 9 billion and famine is very, very rare. In 1965, the projection was by 2000 atomic powered robot servants will be in every household, or we are all dead in a nuclear war. In 2000, the projection was by 2035 schools and offices will be obsolete because of Internet. There are still 10 years to go but I think schools and offices are safe.

 

Fertility rate is not fixed. Japan had a similar "game over" projection 20 years ago and since the Japanese government has started taking maternity leave protection in the workplace more seriously as well as investing more on childcare (all measures were the worst among rich countries at the time), its fertility rate has stopped dropping and even saw a slight recovery, which pushes its "game over" clock way back. South Korea had just started its programs.

From what I've seen of the game so far I am not too excited about inzoi just yet. Basegame is very basic, things are only partially translated, and I'm actually quite put off by the real languages all around. I am a chronic sims player and am used to my Simlish, it's odd to see words I actually understand.

I hope it'll become a better game than it is today, but for now I'll stick to the sims. Of course, some nice adult mods might chance my mind.

True. It does seem like people are loosing sight of the fact that the game is early access. I have seen many games never make it out of early access or they reach a point in development where the devs run out of money, they decide to cash in, slap a ver 1.0 tag on a ver 0.3 product and call it finished.

I haven't seen a single un-translated bit in the game. Perhaps you are a non-English speaker? AFAIK the translation priority (for virtually all games) is English first, then other languages after.

Majority of you are being victimized by nostalgia flavored delusions. It's just instant defense mechanism which is required in order to keep your illusions grandeur desite of opposite reality which is just sad. Go back to vanilla sims 4 trash all your custom content and go see how it is. Now don't let all those shiny effects with mods distract you from the facts how this game beats all sims on every aspect and how much sims 4 has been degraded from it's original predecessors.

I don't think anyone is arguing that Sims 4 is not good. Hell even I agree base Sims even with DLC is still barer than bone marrow. I agree Inzoi has alot that beats out Sims 4, but it also still leaves more to be desired when comparing to Sims 4. The only thing Sims 4 really has going for it right now, is the decades worth of mods that people have built up. It will take time for Inzoi to catch up. But I'm sure once the big stuff starts rolling in from modders and we start getting those updates and dlcs inzoi will absolutely blow Sims out of the water.

Oh most definitely. Probably won't see the good stuff until then. But the good thing about people already getting things out there is more resources and knowledge for the basics once things get official. This is more like a beta phase for mods.
