Whats your guys opinion on InZoi? Personally i think it will extremly dethrone games like The Sims 4. How long after the launch on March 28th will you guys think we will start seeing the first adult mods? Let me know what you think.

I was pretty excited seeing what has been shown so far and then came back down to earth after checking the timeline. 3/28/25 is only early access and full release won't happen until 2026 because the developer is targeting consoles (but at least there is a firm "full release" target rather than bait-n-string). This means we are probably two years from official mod tools and likely 3+ more years from adult mod of any kind of depth.

As for vanilla game play I think InZoi will easily dethrone TS4 simply because of UE5. I played with the Matrix demo when UE5 first came out and even as a demo was already more fun.

In 4 to 5 years, it will have blown The Sims out of the water. Modern graphics and AI support perhaps and modding will be a peace of cake.

i don't know. im skeptical about it.

here's what iv got from asking around.

-it requires signing in a 3rd party account.

-its gonna be online only.

-modding would be restricted to their official site & in game server.

I don't know whom you have been talking to because everything you listed is just wrong.

1. needing third party account? InZoi is Steam Early Access and will be out in 4 weeks. Full release on PC will be based on Xbox and PS readiness of the game. All that are confirmed by the developer. If Steam is 3rd party then the only PC game you can play are CDPR games on GOG or Fortnite from Epic Store.

2. online only? InZoi is strictly single player which is officially confirmed by the developer. Again your definition of "online" is just strange because to get anything on Steam is technically "online only". Even pirating games nowadays is "online only".

3. modding will be company server only. First of all, I don't know how modding would even work if a game is online only, which InZoi is not. We know hardly anything about InZoi modding support atm but developer has suggested modding InZoi will be comparable to TS4 or even TS3 if not more so because the game uses UE5.

3rd party account:

I didn't see anything, though I skimmed the summary, that strictly says it needs internet. However, it does list in the system requirements that it needs an internet connection. Before anyone says it, no, I don't think they would have that listed just to download the game. Likely, it is required so that you can sign into the 3rd party account listed above. If so, then, yes, you DO need an internet connection to play.

I have Dragon's dogma 2 that shows similar requirement on steam "Broadband connection" but that doesn't mean that I have to be constantly online. completed the game twice.

I heard in a random video I watched that the devs are planning to "work" with curseforge for modding support.

As for the game requiring an internet connection, it is simply for their inzoi "social network" operation, the photos, profiles etc. that we could already see during early access, where we could post our characters.

As for the modding possibilities, since it's under Unreal Engine, everything depends almost entirely on the modding support that the devs will give us. If they only provide access to clothing and appearance, that will be the limit for a while. Unreal Engine is not made for "modding" and its files (Expect for 3d models and textures) are less accessible than other game engines (if no support is provided). However, given what they were able to show, I think it will be a more important support.

They showed that the "jobs" are unlike the sims (without certain DLC), real. What I mean by that is that the character goes to a place and has tasks to do or does them automatically, so logically, support for "custom" jobs should make sense, and therefore, potentially support for custom animations and more... And if we take everything they showed, it is likely to have a good big modding base.

From a business point of view, not providing mod support that can change A LOT of things would be counterproductive (but not the first time). The Sims is still alive almost entirely thanks to the modding community, and so it would make sense for the company making Inzoin to model itself on it to work in the long term.

I know nothing about this game aside from seeing a stream about it of the demo, by the time I wanted to try the demo, it was gone. Dunno why they never brought it back, really hoping it's much better than the crap EA is doing.

That limited time demo was only for the game's character creator function. The developer took it back because you couldn't do anything with it other than making pretty character avatars and to showcase how players can share their creations like in the EA game (hence the Internet connection requirement and why the developer closed it because the sharing feature is still being worked on). It achieved the marketing objective of getting people to notice. Early Access launch in end of March and pretty much anyone like playing Sims hope it would be good.

Oh jesus no, this is how warner bros destroyed hogwarts legacy modding scene with their last update.

If modding is integrated in the same way, there wont be NSFW mods for inzoi.

Bro, I don't play this game but can you tell me about the update? I'd appreciate it if you have time.

Well... I don't know Unreal Enginge modding for saying that won't be a issue. But if curseforge is mananing the modding sup, i think we will find a way to modding it witouth curseforge. Inzoi have so much potential, the modding community of the sims will be on it.

Sims is supposed to only get their mods from the Gallery but we all know side loading is 100% fine. InZoi didn't even hide its intention by calling its creation sharing platform the Canvas and showcased it in the demo release window. (wink, wink, canvas vs. gallery).

A few days ago the developer said InZoi switched its scripting language to Blueprints specifically to boost mod support and even hesitantly answered that InZoi will have TS3/4 WooHoo knowing the question was asked in regard to wickedwhims. I don't know how switching to Blueprints matters but it's another sign that their plan is to just copy Sims into a modern engine, business model included.

Before the last update, you were able to download hogwarts legacy mods from any source.

With the last update, you have to download them from curseforge via the game AND the update made old mods incompatible.

The creation kit for hogwart legacy require you to be both logged into a WB account and curseforge account.

Anything created with the CK is sent to curseforge to pack it ( it's not usable right after the ck, unlike before )

They are also actively tracking users creations and can ban you if something is not in line... or worst.

They really made a very stupid decision, but the inzoi development team should not ban mod content. The gameplay of sims4 itself is very ordinary. If nsfw content is banned, I can't guarantee that everyone will be fine. ☛At least I won't buy it☚

But who knows, after all, Koreans like online games, I won't be surprised by anything they do. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Thank you again

Yeah i think Krafton know  (I THINK, im not a GameDev yet, so that only my opinion) that inzoi will have dificult to survive witouth a full and free mod support on the long run.

And they have posted that today, that a good news.

Damn, they limit the height, they prevent my fantasy of tall women. They said it is to match the animation, which means that if you want to adapt to the daily actions produced by the official, you can't change the height. Does any creator have the idea to change it? I asked on discord but the replies were all women who don't care about this issue

in other words, they did not even try to implement algorithms for solving the inverse kinematic problem in their pathetic hack work... (((

Just to clarify - the two inzoi Threads have been merged into one. Hopefully, this will prevent any confusion.
