This thread is for discussing the game, not randomly uploading whatever mods are out there. Since InZoi is perfectly available via steam and looking to become a pretty popular game, mod uploads should go in the file page system, provided ofc that it's your mod or that you have permission.

So I know there's been a lot of questions and discussions about this game and modding potential and how grafton will react given it is a south Korean studio.

 

After doing a bit of looking around on steam threads and other places. I think I've made the conclusion that Modding will be as big if not bigger than sims 4. Originally Krafton was saying they were not going to allow anything more than custom objects and no gameplay extensions. But apparently backpedalled on that, as well as denuvo. 

 

I think it's safe to say that gamers and modders are gonna be eating good with this one.

 

If I am wrong please correct me. This is mostly anecdotal but seems legit.

 

Any backlash from South Korea will most likely stay in South Korea and not extend past country borders.

Before May, I think I will continue to play Skyrim or Sims4, after all, inZOI doesn't have much content at the moment.

 

By the way, I wonder if it will be easier to make actions likes sexlab animations in inZOI because there is AI to help.

There is already an in-game tool to have your Zois copy the motions from an imported video, so, yeah, sex animations are kinda implied from the get go! There's already basic ui mods on Nexus, I don't think you are going to have to wait too long.

There are posts that show placing these in ~mods folder

 

The folder name is just mods

The name of the folder doesn't matter, .paks get loaded when they are inside the Paks folder, no matter what subfolder. The  ~mods is a convention in UE modding to make the pak load after the game's ones, although calling them _P already makes them be treated as patches anyway.

Okay, I hadn't much time to play with it, but smart ZOI has so much potential!

Even without mods allowing incestual relationships I could make a mother-son duo really eager to be liked by each other. 😈

Were I might be naive on this subject is:  if Krafton is afraid of being sued in Korea for banned content then why not have Stream implement regional versions of the game (sure hackers will hack, but not most players).  The North American and European markets can have the open/more tolerant versions and other regions can have the highly restricted whitewashed versions.  Not possible?   

 

I really like the game so far but if same sex unions, gay townies, nudity, and realistic romance is banned, then I'll vote with my $$.  It's crazy to think that the horrible company EA may prevail in this competition of life sim games because they were so progressive from the start.  Hate to see EA win anything, but I do love my 25years of playing The Sims openly and expressively.  God love the Modders!

Only way what you're suggesting can happen is if Krafton becomes a fully American or elsewhere company fullstop, and drop the T rating in the first place.

Korean censor boards never had issues with depiction of homosexuality. Sims series got released in Korea under a T rating equivalent, Krafton themselves acknowledged the lack of homosexual zois as an oversight/known-issue, so I have no clue where you're getting the idea that it is banned.

The steam forums aren't reliable for anything, it's full of trolling and nonsense ragebait stuff, also about the sexualization and nudity, i don't think that is so prohibited or strictly in korea since we have a game like stellar blade which is very horny and also a lot of korean MMORPGs that have a lot of sexualization too.

And also about the same sex relationships, it was already confirmed by the devs that it will be fixed.

I wont go into all the issues of your comment, just pointing out that your last sentence is plain wrong. A large fraction of female porn stars is bisexual, lesbian porn was the 4th most searched term on pornhub in 2024. The most searched Pornstar 2024 was Angela White and to your surprise, she is bisexual and calls herself a feminist. And dont't worry, other people being able to change their gender in a video game does not affect your life, so you dont have to oppose it.

Not sure what are you talking about, it's literally just one click to make a gay/lesbian/bisexual zoi, these things aren't banned at all in Korean media. Nudity is another thing, that's something usually pisses off the american censors while Europeans and Asians wouldn't bat an eye.

I'm cautiously optimistic. We need more life sims games to get EA off their lazy ass with the sims. Competition will help with that. But so far, I think with some polishing and time it will get better. And with Krafton lifting their restrictive modding guidelines and removing denuvo their open to community feedback, which is why these life sims need to survive, a community.
