Anyone know if it's possible to block npcs from this mod flagging up errors with unforgiving devices?

Not really a fix, but the errors might go away if you disable automatic NPC registration in UD (assuming that's enabled in your UD settings)

Devious Eyecandy NPCs v2.0 has been released!

A thorough revamp and rebuild of the mod!

Added new slaves, moved some to new locations, changed up their schedules and outfits, added new dialogue lines and fixed some leftover issues too!

Excellent update! Just took a little walk in Whiterun and love the new variety in outfits. The pony girl strut! The ankle chains!

Thanks!

Hi, this may be an odd question, but could you make a somewhat lighter version with just collars and chains instead of the BDSM stuff?

I use mods like Defeat, Simple Slavery, Public Whore and others to increase the dangers for my PC, but I'm trying very hard to avoid those outcomes.

Having like say 20 slaves with collars in Skyrim would be a great addition for my game.

The mod does look great though, it just doesn't fit me and my game. 🤷‍♂️

I noticed a slight problem with the footwear on some of the slaves. They are sinking into the ground so it appears the high heel offset is not working. I went through Whiterun and some of the affected ones are: Bootslave_ring, bootslave_black and bootsrestrictive_black. All my other high heels, devious and not, are working fine.

Am I autistic? Maybe!

I won't make a whole different version, and I'm not feeling editing the dozens of outfits either.

However - if you can compose an outfit or two yourself in a separate plugin, I can help you setup a SPID config to distribute those outfits to the slaves in this mod, overwriting their current outfit.

No, you are not going mad, that does indeed happen, because their items are not scripted DD items, so they don't apply the heel ofset with the equip scripts.

What I'm using and what I recommend you install is the Heels Fix mod - applies the offsets properly, and a lot more with adjusting heights/positions when NPCs use idle markers or furniture!

Looks like a patch is needed for Being Female..

I have never used the mod in question - what is there to cause conflicts?

You might also get this sunken feet issue with naitro's OverlayFix if you're on the latest "stable" build 1.53. I was able to help them do some testing and get this issue mitigated, though other mods that use racemenu hooks might still interfere. Either way, Overlayfix 1.71 is at least markedly better on my end.

Overlay fix doesn't support GOG version. Sometimes they sink into the ground, sometimes they don't. Oh well.

During testing, I noticed that the Heels Fix works the most reliably when you are transiting between the cells through the load doors, but if you are going around with the coc console command, it doesn't always apply?? Ofc this is nothing definitive and barely empirical at best, but it might worth keeping in mind.

Hi, it's me again! Stop! Come back!

So, I noticed that the slave girls in all different holds can get jobs on the Missives Board. They probably shouldn't being slaves and all.

Problem is, when they do get a Missives job, they don't have any dialogue for it so it fails. They show up quite a bit. Maybe they need to be excluded somehow.

Thanks!

If said mod's got an exclusion faction or criteria I can use, it's easy. If not, that's a problem.

Update, I think I figured it out! Well sorta, brace yourself because it's gonna be really fucking ugly 😅

Problem is, that Missives is ancient in mod years (last update was almost SEVEN(!!!!) years ago~) so it predates easy filtering based on runtime-added Factions and Keywords like you'd do with SPID or KID, because it uses an exclusion FormList to keep track of NPCs that shouldn't be selected... 🥲

So what I thought of requires the use of FormList Manipulator and involves adding every single NPC by EditorID to said exclusion FormList. It's not pretty, but it should get the job done. Paste all of that in the spoiler tag into a text file, save it as something along the lines of NoMissives4Eyecandy_FLM.ini (only the _FLM filename ending and the .ini file extension are important really) and save it in your Skyrim\Data folder.

Alternatively, you can make a patch for yourself in xEdit by hardcoding all NPC records from Devious Eyecandy in the "_M_ListPeopleForbidden" FormList of the Missives plugin.

Hi, there might be an easier way:

If I understand the Alias/Quest setup in Missives correctly, it is conditioned against the FavorExcludedFaction [FACT:00094393] when filling the Recipient aliases. In theory, adding this faction to all the Eyecandy NPCs should do the trick. Caveat: I'm not sure what exactly this faction does, but several important vanilla NPCs are in it. I don't know if adding other NPCs to it can have unintended side effects (though I don't think it can break the game).

Huh, nifty if that works!! 😮Because in that case, even a quick fix is oh-so-much simpler, because it only involves adding this line to a SPID distribution file - be it a new one with _DISTR.ini filename ending, or the NoModesty4Eyecandy_DISTR.ini from the optional download on the file page:

Faction = FavorExcludedFaction|ActorTypeNPC|Devious NPC Eyecandy.esp

Thanks for the idea!!☺️

mm not sure either, and based on what I searched, not a whole lot of people do either 😅

In the game, it's referenced by the 202 NPCs in this faction, and one quest that removes one of the NPCs from the faction at some point.

Yeah, this is a confusing one. Not even the UESP and CK Wiki have info. Judging by the vanilla members of this faction, I suppose it may block the NPCs from certain core functionalities like marriage or becoming follower, or other such things.

Getting back on topic: I love what you are doing with the mod!

Guys, I can't get the mod to work on version 1.5.97. I installed the mod for the first time on version 2.7 and already had Devious Device NG working, but the NPCs aren't showing up. Am I forgetting to install something? Thanks for your help
