Skyrim SE wont launch & Oldrim seemingly damaged after weeks of not playing

I must be cursed or something because after not being able to launch Fallout 4 via MO2 (see here), now my Skyrim SE & Oldrim seem affected too in different ways. Both games are modded with Nexus manager (dont start with me on this) & SE won't launch the same way 4 wont for me. Oldrim however is a whole different beast however. It launches to my saves fine but my console command window is horribly scaled incorrectly & male NPCs are carrying red triangles on them like they can't render something on them or are missing a model yet my managers arent missing any mods from what I checked & inside their data folders seem fine too. i dont even have mods that affect male NPCs besides SoS which i left men as nevernude anyways

Neither of these have ever happened before with these games & like my fallout 4, they're stopped from updating anything & havent been touched in months actually. Why is it that modded Bethesda games seem to have a damn expiration date if you dont play them for a while?! Starting to think my GPU might have something to do with it but idk how seeing how New Vegas & even Oblivion is working fine. I recently downloaded the newest drivers so do I have to roll them back or something?

Will take any help I can get long as it focuses on the games, my GPU, or script extenders & not my mod manager of choice for these 2.

Pic of what im dealing with in Oldrim:

I had an issue not long ago don't remember how long but Steam did something and my game would not start no matter what I tried. And yes my updates are off but somehow Steam changed my game I had to go and validate my download this fixed the issue not saying it is the same issue you have or will help. Don't believe for one minute having updates turn off stops updates that somehow shit gets downloaded/updated even on you PC and windows... Nobody has ever been able to explain this updates are off but shit gets updated anyway wtf.

My game executables are still the correct versions before AE came out though, it's never been able to push anything on me. I don't think I can even verify my files though cuz Steam needs read only on the app Manifest file disabled to do that which will force the AE update through SE & even if it didn't, thought that process fucks up mods?

Clearly a missing Nif/Mesh. Maybe SoS

What about my console command window being scaled wrong? I changed monitors more than a year ago & it was still scaled properly back then

Console size (vertical percentage of screen covered) and font size can be configured in Skyrim.ini in your documents folder:

[Menu]
; default is 20
iConsoleTextSize=30

Perhaps this and your other issues are caused by MO no longer being able to access your virtual folders where these types of settings are stored.  I've seen/heard of instances where recent updates to Windows are causing issues for some users of MO.  Maybe you'd have more luck posting your issues on the MO Discord server. You MO folks sure seem to have it rough these days.

For your Skyrim issue with the missing models you should be able to click on the center of the red triangle to get some information on the actor or the model that is referenced but not found.  The white thing in the triangle is the top of an exclamation mark, suggesting the center of the model is at or below the floor surface.  Try clicking on it when the actor is standing up, not sitting in a chair.  It may be something attached to NPC Root node which is at the actor's feet.  Or maybe it's the SoS junk.

im not on windows 11 & havent updated anything on the games or MO2 or windows in ages

I joined MO2s discord server & added my log files to the post I made there, hopefully someone there can help but ill share here also in case someone who knows alot comes around

usvfs-2025-02-09_00-33-47.logmo_interface.log

EDIT: making a blank no mods profile in MO2 lets me launch the game fine. someone told me an error in my log means MO2 cant access my directory it uses for the game or its mods or something but I can open all my folders in MO2 fine & everything is where it should be

seems likely because after playing a bit more, SoS keeps disappearing from my MCM even with Jaxson Kicker active. I dont know why though because I cant currently access my manager loadout to see whats causing it.

Im thinking its because of the SoS addon mod from Sly9er I installed ages ago because it uses the same plugin name & interface as SoS but back then it wasnt kicking itself off the MCM or causing males to lose their meshes (which i can see they are also purple along with the red triangles)

I said "Windows" updates.  I never said anything about Windows 11 specifically.  Windows 10 still receives updates and other users have reported FNIS not working through MO2 after said updates.

Given that you posted about a similar issue (duplicate entries) on this mod's support thread in August 2023 and didn't receive a response from the mod author, perhaps you should uninstall that mod.  What do you think?

was hoping to avoid that scenario since its the only SoS mod that lets me conveniently distribute the odds of women bein futa or not & manually add it to em too while enforcing sexlab gender positions for em also, unlike gender bender which is completely random at times & still puts strapons on futas

perhaps I can try reinstalling them both clean if im lucky

Turns out Oldrims issue was SoS files being turned into symlinks. reinstalling the mods files directly to each affected folder fixed it tho the console's MFG windows still too small
