New clean save, ran straight to an inn after the intro dungeon and did jobs to unlock military quest, still CTD after the innkeeper finishes speaking.

All other jobs work fine, including orc camp.

Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this one quest to consistently CTD?

Just tried military camp in whiterun and it worked fine for me.

I did a log to see what was going on and I do have a few entries (believe papyrus can handle some errors and its more a bottleneck of errors that cause a CTD)

Error:  (FF000FD9): Could not build path.

stack:

    [ (FF000FD9)].Actor.PathToReference() - "<native>" Line ?

    [mf_Prostitute_CampJob (2401A846)].qf_mf_prostitute_campjob_0301a846.Fragment_9() - "qf_mf_prostitute_campjob_0301a846.psc" Line 101

but it seems the RP stuff is prefixed with mf_prostitute which i don't see in either of your logs.

Assume you was using riverrun as its the closed to the starter place, have you tried anywhere else?

Fun in Whiterun

Actually, this was Whiterun. Also tried Riverwood and Solitude. Same result, and no other job results in the crash.

Well I looked at the log and the one thing that stood out to me is the last 6 pages of your log is errors and warnings for the

SD_patch_frostfall (92000D62)

It seems to for 6 pages just keep repeating the warning and error lines. My guess and mind you this is only a guess cause I am still learning how to read these logs is that is what is causing the CTD. As to why it is causing it I have no idea.

The complete error line is below in a spoiler, perhaps someone more versed in papyrus will see it and be able to help on why it is happening.

[02/13/2014 - 10:03:22PM] Error: Cannot call GetValueInt() on a None object, aborting function call
stack:
[_SD_patch_frostfall (92000D62)]._SDQF_patch_frostfall_01.OnUpdate() - "_SDQF_patch_frostfall_01.psc" Line 75

Not sure what the SD patch for frostfall is but have you tried uninstalling that mod and seeing if you get a crash? If not I would try that and if it does crash make another papyrus log, maybe it will help shed some more light.

Posted

It's Sanguine's Debauchery, and it's been uninstalled without being activated (used on another save). Actually, it wasn't even installed until well after this issue started occurring.

I'm hesitant to redo the entire install of all mods since everything bar this is working!

Yeah I don't know, only saying have 6 pages of papyrus log all saying the same error and warning over and over can't be good and I could see it causing a CTD. But I might be wrong.

You also might want to take a look at this, this is the error that you get before it starts that loop of the SD errors and warnings.

Error: File "Devious Devices - Integration.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded.

Which to my admittedly untrained eye like one of the mods you have requires that and it is not currently loaded or loaded correctly, which could be causing a problem.

Posted

The "Devious Devices" error is actually not an error - that's just the way mods check for the existence of another mod (in this case, the existence of an old and incompatible version of Devious Devices).  Ignore it.

Deleted all old saves, started afresh. Disabled all mods that could be disabled, left all others without messing with the settings. Radiant Prostitution not installed. Completed normal start sequence, immediately ran to Riverwood and made a save.

Installed Tweaked 1.03b, left settings default except Rank Stride to 1, completed jobs until Home Delivery unlocked, completed it, saved and quit to desktop.

Rebooted game, accepted Military Camp quest, CTD, log provided below.

Gonna check other quests continue to work, then reload original Riverwood save (pre-RP) and try the same again with 1.03c Experimental, see if there's a change.

EDIT: Added Load Order. I'm aware it's a helluva lot of mods, but the vast majority are armour/clothing mods, and nothing else is having an issue. I can only imagine that mods which affect the camps would interfere with this quest and nothing else, and I don't think I have anything like that. If anyone can think of a possible mod that would be causing this, please let me know and I'll test with it turned off.

As before, I'm hesitant to do a clean install since it took me a while to get everything running together and other than this one quest, I'm not having issues. Judging by some other remarks in this topic, I feel ahead of the curve by having never had any issues with Home Delivery/Orc Camp!

Did you run the MF_RadiantProstitution remove loose files.bat that comes with it?

Mine works but my installation is pretty old now tbh and probably non-ideal, i had the original RP ver 0.81 (i think) which i then manually upgraded to tweaked 1.03C via copying and pasting the files ontop and then running the batch file that comes with it.

This install is more recent than Tweaked, hasn't had the old version used. Regardless, ran it anyway and tried again, same result.

Also, other quests (the fan, orc camp) continue to work as normal.

When I have time I'll try the same thing with 1.03c Experimental.

On that note, I assume the 'wench no longer working' thing is on Experimental only, because it still works for me on the normal version.

Same as before; reloaded the initial save - just completed starting sequence, RP not installed, ran to Riverwood.

Installed RP 1.03c Experimental, waited for MCM menu to appear, left all defaults except Rank Stride to 1.

Accepted job, obtained Tavern Clothes (someone else mentioned they had an issue with that). Did jobs until Home Delivery unlocked, did that as well (although undress animation still loops a few times before the act even though it's turned off).

Military Camp unlocks, taking it CTDs. Reloaded save, accepted camp job and CTD again, Papyrus log below.

The CTD is always at the same place, where the barkeeper finishes speaking, whether I leave him to finish or quit out of dialogue menu and just watch. Once his lips stop moving, CTD.

At this stage, I have to believe it's a mod conflict, nothing else would be so consistent (that I can think of). I can't for the life of me think what mod would be involved though. Any ideas? Load Order is in a post above.

I agree since it is always at the same place and same time. My first guess is it has to do with the whore it spawns for the military camp that goes with you. Since you are not getting crashes anywhere else and you crash right after the barkeep finishes. Which I believe is exactly when the NPC whore is spawned.

So that is my personal guess is something is conflicting with her spawning. What it could possible be I have no idea at all. But that is my guess and mind you it is only a guess.

I noticed that Riverwood home delivery (mostly those related to customers from inconsequential NPC's and sometimes with regular Vanilla NPC's) and camp delivery has issues in my game. So, whenever I use camp delivery I'm using it only from Whiterun, Markarth and Solitude. Other cities with major bugs in home deliveries are: Solitude, Riften, Rorikstead and Mortal. How do i know? I have been tracking CTD's in home deliveries and camp deliveries in 3x fresh installations of the game and RP experimental mod. Solitude is the "champion" of CTD's in home deliveries, and Riverwood in camp deliveries. But, of, course, I'm talking about my game. Someone else might have different experience.

Both of you bring up good information. Ifl this is when the other wench appears, she may be causing it. As mentioned, I have no issue with the spawned NPCs in the letter quests, so how does the wench differ? Anyone know her name or faction?

I'm also using Inconsequential NPCs, perhaps the hookers it adds to Riften conflict on something? I'll try removing that next.

Thanks for the info.

I really don't know why she would cause a crash, I just find it odd you crash at exactly that moment. Since I am 95% sure that is when the game spawns her. Maybe it has to do with her body or clothes? I honestly don't know.

Together with inconsequential npc's I had a mod "adventures are in taverns". My god, CTD's were abnormal in three way home deliveries (all the time), and single customer home delivery, occasionally. After removing  "AAINT" CTD's reduced. You know what is strange, my male PC prostitute had less CTD's then female PC. Also, I do not using wench/tavern robe, and have had no problems with approaching the customers.

You know, you might be right, but I learned that Skyrim has tendency to "produce" random bugs (repeatable CTD at certain place/spot). Fo instance. In one of my games/saves I had a strange bug. Whenever I fast traveled to Riften's Mistveil keep, I had a CTD. In other save, I couldn't walk across the market in Whiterun without CTD. In third occasion, I had CTD's when entering Volkihar castle. I always used UNP dimonized body with UNP BBP perfect body mesh in combination of XP32 Maximum Skeleton -XPM and never had a problem. I thing that Decauk just got one of these Skyrim's "random" bugs among else. But, I'm not excluding your option.

Posted

I am not sure it is a random bug cause s/he says they did it with a brand new character and ran straight from Helgan to Riverwood and had the same issue. So if that is the case I don't see how it could be one of those bugs and I do know what you mean. On one of my saves every time I left Honey Mead Brewery outside Riften I would CTD every time on one of my saves. Didn't matter if I waited for hours of game play and go back on another day it would just CTD 100% of the time. But it wouldn't with any of my other saves or characters. So if Decauk is having it on all saves and all characters I am less inclined to thick it is one of those issues and more that think there is some weird conflict happening.

But I could be completely wrong I full admit.

That's is exactly my point. But since my English is bad I couldn't express myself clearly. My CTD's were from 3 new games, and every time it was something else. Therefore I called them "Skyrim's random CTD's". They may appear at same spot regardless of new installations. If that happens before the mods are installed, there is something wrong with the game. But if it happens after mods installations, as you said, then there is something wrong with certain mod. So best solution would be to uncheck all of the mods and start playing the game adding them one by one. I know it takes time, but it will show where is the problem and what is causing it.

I don't know if she has all DCl's and newest unofficial patch installed.

Posted

Yeah, it's a single install, nothing was changed other than removing RP completely to start. 3-5 separately started characters, complete with wiped save game folder, same issue.
I'm gonna try unchecking all non-essential mods and see if it works, then add them until it crashes.

Wow. Fucking wow. This is like the holy grail of naughty mods for skyrim, I just registered to say that :D

I'm new to the site but I must say I really like how you updated the mod by Mainfct. Adding new details and new content to the existing structure It's just what's needed to make this mod better and better.

I also liked how the mod tries not to deviate too much in too unrealistic (for the actual fantasy setting, oc) or weird stuff, hope it stays that way.

I'll follow the development closely, congratz and gl with the project.

Now I have to catch up with years not playing\modding skyrim, It will take a while :D

No, it means that there's no male NPC prostitutes.  Only female NPCs can be prostitutes.

so dont fret and manwhore yourself out as much as you want.
