Airianna, I use the commands:
"help mf_" which lists all Radiant Prostitution related stuff
Then I look for "QUST: mf_" and those are the quests the Radiant runs. 
Then from there I use "player.sqs xxxxxxx" to find the stage numbers.  "player.setstage xxxxxxxx xxx" to set the stage.

Thankies uncle ben *giggles* gonna see if that one that's been bugging me, since the update to 1.03c can be removed, since it doesn't tell me anything in the quest list about paying some merchant in the small words on the top left. *hugs*

YES!  It's working!  I got it to update, finally!  It turns out it was a combination of both "The Oldest Trade" and "Supporting Self Employment" that were causing the updating issues.  For the latter, it was still stuck on an earlier stage.  I forced it to stage 100; double checked to ensure the quest completed, and it did.  The same with "The Oldest Trade", using the command to force the stage to 200.  Saved the game, uninstalled 1.03c, and installed 1.04 without overwriting.  Loaded the game, no CTD, no infinite loading screen!  Thanks Airianna and Nutluck for what assistance you guys provided.  Cheers all around!

So, if anyone else is experiencing the same as I had when updating from 1.03c, this is what I would suggest:

  • Ensure the two quests are set on their last stages respectively (check your papyrus log as it should list the problematic quest that is preventing your game from loading after updating -- yours might be different from mine).  Refer to here if you're not familiar with those commands.  Along with these, you can also use the "getstage xxxxxxx" command.  Set the stage by using the command "setstage xxxxxxx".
  • Use the command "stopquest" on "The Oldest Trade". 
  • In the MCM menu, select the option to reset quests.  (Just doing a reset and not the above resulted in an infinite loading screen in my game)
  • (Optional) Again use the "player.sqs xxxxxxx" command to ensure all stages are set to 0 of those quests respectively. 
  • Save the game.  Uninstall 1.03c and install 1.04 without overwriting.  Load the last save and it should work.

WOOT! Grats, and no, That quest that is bugging me is at 0 of 100, so it hasn't even started for me! LMAO

 

And I was looking at the quest list... Ummmm The orc are all gonna get fried if I have that quest... They might start looking good after a few drinks, but there isn't enough alcohol in the world to cover that smell!

You're more than welcome and glad you was able to get the game working right. Even though I don't think I added much to helping solve it other than confirm that Airianna wasn't the only one it worked for.

That and confirmed the bug that I am having as well.

 

But at least now, I learned how to advance the home delivery quest :) I like to take it in steps myself. And even tho the "Friend" jumps in before I can talk to the main client a second time, and when I take back the controls, the first tells me I need to tend to the needs of their friend, and there is no dialog option for it by then, cause it broke... Crud, in 1.4 so is the single Home delivery quest, keeps me from being able to move if I force it to advance by taking back controls... Alright, so that' the end of the home deliveries for me.. Also found a quest seeming to be on 0:1 with 1 other marker for 10:0, can't get that one to budge... Let me get the name of it...

 

Ok there are others than this one like this as well... I sure hope it's normal.... cause it doesn't look right to be on the same quest in many areas like that...

Horses also seen in the posts... umm never... ever see one of those thing hump a mare? As soon as he starts to penetrate his legs instinctively do the ram rod thing, and shoves it in deep, hard, and fast... 700 - 1200 lb horse, my body realistically wouldn't live through it... NEXT!

 

Fried Orc still smells as bad as living orcs... yuck...

ok please rever from starting stopping or advancing any mf_ quest not shown in your quest log. thoose are the thing that keep this mod running. "The oldes trade" for exaple is THE MAIN QUEST it handles all inn keeper interactions and more. i'm talking bullshit dont even know the quest names. Anyway as long as you leave the mf_prostitute_handler aka "Ye Overlord" alone all should be fine.

 

Ok I played with it for a bit and here is some feedback.

 

The good

1) The random number of times seems to be fixed. So now it truly does seem to be random. Never had a 5 times, most was 1 time and a few was 2-4 times. So that seems to work.

2) When a NPC ask for something like a female asks you to use a strapon on them that is exactly what it does now. So that bug seems to be fixed as well.

3) I liked that now the mysterious letter is not always rapist but it seems you added more quests, at least one more anyways about the hostel needing a mare.

 

The not so good.

1) The undressing animation playing over and over is still there, even with it clicked off in sexlab it still plays it. This is the only mod this does this with. I have no idea why it does that.

 

The bad

1) If you are in homes after a certain time of night even if the quest sends you to them, the NPC's will call for guards and or attack you. Just as if you had broke in.

2) Mysterious letter for a Mare. Interesting idea for a quest but it seems it is bugged. I never was given the bucket no matter how many times I tried doing it and if I went to the horse with out the bucket it would always just attack no matter what I did. In the quest it says approach the horse naked which I did unequipped all items even and still the horse attacks. Perhaps you need to be carrying the bucket, don't know but for now it seems bugged.

 

As a aside I would suggest spawning the horse a lot closer to whiterun, I would suggest between the tower to the east and the city would be a much better spot to spawn it.

After the facebook change you need to be careful with these things now.

Ok so the horse should stop before it actually kills you? Just checking, cause I let my health get dangerously low, low enough one or two more hits would have killed my character and caused Submit to kick in. So if indeed that is what is suppose to happen you might want to up the threshold of health before that happens to avoid having this trigger mods like Submit or Defeat. Just a word of advice.

 

As for the bucket you don't need to actually place a bucket, just have the NPC give the character a bucket IE place it in the characters inventory at the end of the conversation like you did with the tavern wench clothes. Then when the quest with the horse is done and you do the turn in, have it remove the bucket.

I have trouble with new version. Quest with a stranger, after chatting with him, he just stand and dont go to orc camp. Quest progress freeze on talk to stranger step.

Ok I went back and tried the Mare letter quest again, this was the results.

 

1) First and second attempt I had submit running and submit would just trigger at 0% health on the deathproof, meaning you might want to check into making sure this will work with mods like defeat and submit as both are very popular mods.

 

2) The third, fourth and fifth times I have submit turned off and each time the horse just killed me. I would stand in front of the horse naked and it would keep attacking until my character died. On the fifth one I tried clicking the horse to activate during the combat but the results where the same.

 

I did have a 1st level character as I made a new one just to use Live Another Life to test your mod, so maybe it would work better with a higher level character but still something that needs tweaked so it works with a new 1st level character.

 

I do like the idea but this quest still needs work and I really think you need to move the horse a lot closer to each city. So it is easy for low level or new 1st level characters to easily do. Especially since some people are working on plugins for Live Another life that starts the character off poor and forced to turned to things like your mod to earn gold for food, shelter and gear to go adventuring with.

 

Anyways like the mod but giving you feedback on what I think would improve the mod and or what needs bug fixing still.

You can set the cool down period inbetween quests in the MCM menu along with how many clients to get to the next level of quests.

Passive mode will work but after serving a client you need a rejection from active mode for it to start up again.

 

Cashing in the quest after one client with the inn keeper would probably work as well but not tried that myself.

Did you get the horse one to actual work? Only asking cause I have been trying to test out all the quests and I can't get that one to finish. I get to the horse and he just kills my character always.

No, I didn't try the new version yet. I'm waitinf gor confirmation on the passive solicitation working, otherwise I'm stuck with the bugfixed "pre-tweaked" version. That's the only reason I like this mod and I was kinda sad it got bonkered in later updates.

 

I don't have much time to play lately, so sadly I can't test much these days. I guess I'll wait till I get confirmation that these things work.

Tried horse quest too, same result...

 

For the Companion quest i ran into a CTD after teleporting to the new cell with wolves.

 

Ambush, active prostitution, home delivery & camps seems ok.

 

Just reporting my tests, i love your mod. Keep it up !

Once you've configured it, go to any innkeeper, and use the dialogue option that says something like "I hear innkeepers have work" or something like that (That's not exact, just can't remember, sorry :/). Then you'll be given some options.

Just an additional note. When you first approach an innkeeper for work you will not have access to all of the radiant quests, those unlock as your "rank" advances. There is an MCM option to configure rank "stride" = the number of clients it takes to advance to the next rank, with multipliers. You can set it low or high, depending on how fast you want to advance. The radiant quests will unlock as you advance in ranks.  But it all starts, as the previous poster said, when you choose the dialog option that is something like: I hear innkeepers are offering well paying work, or something very much like that (not: I'm looking for work... the one that usually gets you a bounty to collect in the hold).

aha that is strange. i should kick in at around 80% health, test it with a lvl 1 character and i have defeat also installed and working. never had that before, could you check your papyrus.log and see if a script crashes or something?

But i am gonna double check that if i broke something.

Well im displeased to say but it will never work for you then. at around 1.03 or so i had to rework the hole quest and the way quests are saved these changes are only active if you start a new savegame.

I just upgraded from 1.03 to 1.04 (1.03 was the first version I installed), using a clean save file. (Uninstall, load/wait/save, install 1.04, load again) In 1.03 I never got the tavern wench outfit, and didn't see passive solicitation working. In 1.04 I did get it working, but it can be somewhat easy to miss. The patron will make a comment about wanting to hire, but you still then have to start a dialogue yourself. You get an option to confirm/deny that you are currently available, and then afterwards the usual dialogues if you are. The problem was I was not getting any of the animations to fire, would jump right to being able to ask for payment after the start work dialogue. Could be that one incident, the patron did appear to be stuck on a staircase at the time. I only saw it happen for the one patron, but it is possible I missed it from others earlier since I did not know what to look for. Also it was someone I had just actively solicited, so I guess they wanted more. ;)

This is my experience too. I prefer passive mode myself most of the time and it is a big draw for me with this mod. But I have to use the Both setting atm.

When I first start working, each time, someone will indeed approach me, but after that I have to approach someone until I get a rejection for passive to turn on again. When it does, as often as not it is the person who just rejected me who opens dialog. Just about as often as that, though, no one ever approaches and I have all of the approach modifiers set as high as they will go.

Rest assured that once passive mode is fully functional again there will be some whoops of glee here... kinda like confirmation :)
