I looked it up. Unfortunately 3dmigoto only works for dx11 games and definitely not Unreal Engine 5. It would need a ton of work to make it work.

Season 0 will live in our memories as what a game can be if we're allowed to have fun with it.

 

Now we just have to play rivals.   Not hearing "I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye" for Spidey's Ult and having to see Iron Fist instead of Neo are the biggest disappointments.   Not gonna lie, my desire to play this game took a serious blow, even though it doesn't change anything important.

lmao you can't just change the hash of a file to whatever you want. Unless you bypass the anticheat, modding is over.

reminds me of Multiversus... another Unreal Engine game with strong modding at the start... then the devs blocked mods in an update and it was never the same...

Anticheat ain’t stop no modder before, just look at Dragon Ball Fighterz. That game makes you disable to anticheat in order to mod it, there’s gotta be a way to disable this one.

FighterZ kills your game if you try actually playing with another person without the anti-cheat, if they don't also have the anti-cheat turned off
You can play modded FighterZ, ,sure, but basically only with friends who also turned off anti-cheat or offline against CPU.

FighterZ also uses EAC which is a very commonly used and commercial anti-cheat that's been researched thoroughly because of its common use

NetEase is using an in-house proprietary anticheat afaik, it's not something anyone has much experience in bypassing.

And again, if it is bypassed, who is to say that the game won't check for it being used when connecting to the lobby server and kill your game if it's not running?

 

I'm not trying to say that it's impossible, it's not, but it's nowhere near as easy as people will think it is. You have to bypass the anticheat, get the files loaded, and then avoid having the disabled anti-cheat detected on top of that. It's not a simple task, and there's a good chance nobody wants to go through the risk or put in the time and effort to make it possible.

And if they do make it possible, what's there stopping NetEase from fighting back on that? When Vindictus came out, I saw modders and Nexon fight back and forth for two and a half years in an arms race to get modding working and then to block it, until modders gave up because they didn't have the time to be updating and changing tools every month. If a company is stubborn enough, they will always win because they're getting paid to block your modding solution, meanwhile the modders are usually doing this as a hobby. The company has far more incentive to do their work than the modders

 

Again, there's a chance that NetEase isn't going to be as stubborn as Nexon was in this example, there's a chance that their game is to just prevent "most" modding and if you get around it, that's fine. Just enough trouble that most people aren't going to bother. Just don't act as if its an easy task to circumvent the anticheat, even if in some other games it may seem to be.

I've got faith, but man is this disappointing. If anyone is interested in a new MOBA though, check out Supervive on Steam. It's alright, but what really got me was the spiking you can do also it might be modable, but personally idk if it is.

And this is why no one should pay for mods for multiplayer games.

 

Every season, updates can break those mods and you have to rely on the modder's willingness to fix it. Otherwise, you paid for something that no longer works.

yeah, not nice enough to goom over, we got higher standards mate that's just the way it is.  Here's hoping mods get fixed soon or you'll see a decent downspike (not huge) but decent soon enough

Just wondering if there is a model viewer that you can look at skins with outside of the game.  I assume modders don't have to log into the game to see what their work looks like.  If so, could someone be so kind as to post that info?  That way we can at least still admire the hard work of the modding community.

Also, if there is a "hacked server" that comes up, as in an unofficial version of the game that mods would work on, please post it here.  This has happened in the past with games like WoW, where you didn't have to pay for a subscription but you wouldn't get regular updates, so it's a catch 22.  It would likely be riddled with aimbotters, but at least we could use our skins.

 

All that being said, my desire to play this game has sunk drastically.  I loved the game before mods, but after having them and now that they've been taken away, my love for the game has dwindled.  I played for a while today and it just felt like half a game.
