Marvel Rivals Modding

Legit all we can do now is hope and pray, apparently someone is trying their damndest to bypass the anticheat to get mods to work. Let's hope they're successful and that it doesn't kill their game somehow.

 

Also the game is still fun without mods, Im having fun as All-butcher Loki rn.

Yeah I miss mods a lot but the people saying the game is awful without them are def stretching. Gameplay is fun, the actual skins are all high quality, and most the girls are hot in their default outfits alone for the gooners, and then theres psylocke vengeance and malice invisible woman. i will definitely be hoping mods return, but i'm still enjoying the game without them, rivals is peak

Same. I was really enjoying the game, found out about mods, loved playing with them on. Now after the update I'm just not feeling motivated to hit ranked again.

I feel like the ones saying that the game is bad without mods are legit just people who came to look at titties on a video game character. If they wanted to just do that, go on Rule 34 or something and wack your meat there instead of saying the game is "bad" when it is a pretty good game

I said it was meh. Meaning without mods MR has nothing special to offer that can't be found elsewhere. It's a nice looking game that plays well, the skins are def way hornier than OW, but im not paying for MTX. Just doesn't have that special something anymore and it sucks when you enjoy playing a game a certain way and it is removed.

i mean I really enjoyed the game and thought it was fun and would like to play it right now, but honestly I just don't want to without skins. Hoping the mods are updated sooner than later

This game mod have to be treated like the gacha game now because every update will break the mods.  I don't know if any of them are willing to do that.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE, A message from the modding discord just came out of someone finding the work around for the hash check, there will be a tutorial eventually on how to do it so if you want to stay updated I recommend joining the modding discord.

I'm confused, so I put the .pak file into the MarvelGame folder directly?  So it's where the Marvel.exe is at?

im not dealing unpacking and repacking game files. this is a long and tedious process I do not wanna deal with again. not to mention... the hype for season one is greating than the sadness of mods being removed

Guide to install mods for Season 1

Install FModel, Add Marvel Rivals as undetected game.

Choose UE Version GAME_MarvelRivals

After selecting it, Update FModel when asked.
Open AES

Input the AES Key:
0x0C263D8C22DCB085894899C3A3796383E9BF9DE0CBFB08C9BF2DEF2E84F29D74
Now follow this guide

 

You should probably keep a backup of the Unpacked Game Content for when you need to uninstall mods

 

To unpack your mods:

7. Using FModel, create a folder in your desktop and put the mod .pak file in there. Go to your Settings and set Output Directory to the folder you just made.
8. Now on FModel, go to Directory > Selector > Click on the Up n Down arrows below Add Undetected Game then the three dots, then point to the folder in your desktop with the mod .pak file and click the blue plus icon.
9. It should automatically select it in the Detected Game field, for UE Versions, select Game_MarvelRivals and press OK.
10. Double click the .pak, then right click the Marvel folder (or any folder inside the pak) then press Export Folder's Packages Raw Data. Once done, it'll export the files to the folder you set in Step 7.
11. Grab the Marvel folder you exported from the mod, and move it into the MarvelRivals\MarvelGame\ folder you got from Step 3.
12. If you did it correctly, it'll ask you to replace the files, confirm

Pretty sure the tutorial covers that. The video is for the game files, the guide here tells you how to unpack mods.
