Are the unlanded characters involved in the "Wayside/Wayshrine" Maiden travel event meant to be proper characters/stay alive aftewords? As they seem to stick around after each event & are succubi in my save.

Actually good point. I don't intend to leave them living afterwards but I'll give it a check just in case.

I am trying to allow succubi to ignore the maximum age for prostitution.

 

I think it would be done this way in a file that overwrites "carn_prostitution_decision.txt":

custom_description = {
			text = "carn_effective_age_under_value_cutoff"
			value = carn_prostitution_age_cutoff
			OR = {
				effective_age < carn_prostitution_age_cutoff
				has_trait = cdol_succubus
			}
		}

 

But if it works, would that only affect revealed succubi, or also affected hidden ones? And if it's only the revealed ones, how do I put a secret in there?

Use the cdol_is_succubus_trigger = yes scripted trigger instead. It includes both revealed (with trait) and hidden (no trait, with secret) succubi.

New update! With a few improvements and a surprising return of the total conversion version!

 

Changelog:

 

UPDATE 0.13.1

Tweaks

  • Rewritten event incrementing Autervelt progress every month, which should function more like a consistent monthly global event. Should improve performance, as A/B tested by @byehi.
  • Limited AI access to Autervelt functionality to succubi of Duchy rank or higher so that less rulers are eligible for Autervelt interaction checks. Player succubi can interact with the Autervelt regardless of rank.
  • Imported new wing meshes from POD for CK3 1.16.
  • (TC) A new version of the Total Conversion patch was released. Bookmark characters are not available, but I tried preserving as many functionalities as I could.
    • As before, make sure the Total Conversion setting gamerule is on.
    • Tested with AGOT. Miraculously worked, somehow, but play with caution. I could not yet test this with any other total conversion because none are updated to 1.16 yet.
    • Use regular DOL version with Princes of Darkness.
  • (TC) Reordered triggered desc names for trait which should hopefully make the trait show up as Succubus while playing in a TC without vanilla cultures and not Yakshi.
  • Localization: DOL gamerules now use #D, pink debug, as color instead of #X, red, in formatting. Pseudo-DLC metadata name has also been changed.

I noticed the succubus trait wasn't giving full immortality effects (0% fertility at high age, bookmark characters becoming infirm) and adding this:

 

immortal = yes

 to the cdol_succubus trait seemed to fix it.

This is something we have gone over a few times before and I must reiterate that it is very much intentional. You're meant to build up lifespan and fertility by continually gaining sexual mastery. The Succubus trait itself was never meant to be a "true" immortal trait.

Oh, I see. When I became infirm about 10 minutes into playing as Deirdre I assumed it was a bug.

The infirm is very much a vanilla CK3 thing - above a certain age and health below 5.0 (which is quite impossible to get for regular old characters anyway) you have a chance to be infirm, with probability scaling on how old you are and how much below 5.0 health you are. That's why all the bookmark characters start with some artificial life expectancy increasing modifiers.

Should that new playable Pythia remain landless adventurer before completing her aspiration?

I tried her by playing as nomad, conquered and revived the six holy sites( but the above icon didnt show "Restored" ), and the text said that i will be able to reform the religion through a decision. But i cant find the decision.

hi. I did not find the Russian localization in the file. My English is very bad, so I did a machine translation. if someone knows how to work with localization files normally and speaks English at a decent level, I would be grateful if they would do the translation. Also, due to the non-standard font in the pantheon menu, it was not possible to translate properly, the Russian version of the game does not read this format. at least on my computer.

Great mod but i gotta say that this new update took a big hit in perfomance, even with Autervelt disabled it make my game pace so slow.

The Autervelt is the only mechanically intensive part of the new update (and I have updated how the monthly ticks are handled, which empirically should improve performance compared to previous). CK3 1.16 itself (plus nomads) do introduce certain stability problems that is frankly outside of my scope to fix.

Looks like I made a mistake while writing the decision and did not have the variables properly set into the faith which prevented the restoration decision from actually being shown. I'll update real quick. My apologies.

Thanks for your work. If you use a text editor like Sublime Text or Notepad++, you could run a find and replace for font:Font_Milonga and replace them with empty space if the formatting for custom font proves too hard to work with localizing.

Yeah it accidentally worked again lmao I'm not sure why, I could only test with AGOT though since at the time it's the only total conversion (that involves a map change) that is updated to 1.16. POD is also updated, but it largely uses the CK3 vanilla map and already works with regular DOL.

It's actually possible. The AI just has problems with actually getting the sexual power required for it to fire since they are not exactly willing to have sex as often as a player can spam Make Love every year.

That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. I also just want to say I really appreciate all the work that’s gone into the mod. It’s been a great experience so far, and I really enjoy the depth of it. I was wondering if there might be any room for an alternative way to gain sexual power and mastery, maybe something that doesn’t rely solely on running the seduce scheme over and over. For example, gaining a small amount of mastery over time from non succubus lovers. Maybe like one point per month or year, or maybe introducing a new scheme that  is the same as seduce but ties it's lover status to slowly draining an NPC’s health in exchange for passive mastery and power gains. It might also open the door for some interesting event chains tied to that scheme later on. I get why the current system works the way it does, but after running seduce a large number of times, it can start to feel a bit repetitive. Though that could just be me. Also, just curious. Have you considered adding new Lilithism denominations in northern or eastern Europe? I think that could add some variety.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing, I ended up disabling all my mods except for DOL & Carnalitas, but the game speed slowed down to a crawl with this mod enabled. Its not just the Khan update (although that can't have helped).

 

After some more testing, I think the performance issues are tied to the "Humours Resonance" setting, with it disabled the game runs smoothly.

This should probably be default disabled in the next update @Kieva

I'm on 13.1.1, and have restored the six holy sites.  Okay, now what?  There's still no decision popping up.  It still says I need to "restore the oracle of Hermaphroditus."  Is that a building somewhere?  Where?  I can't find it on the economic map if it is.

Once you restore all six holy sites you should get an event popping up which is also indication that the Restore the Oracle of Hermaphroditus decision is unlocked. I just ran through the entire chain again and it works as intended - the restoring oracle decision shows up once I restored the sixth holy site.

 

Did you use the console command to re-activate the holy sites, or use some otherwise non-standard means to? Because that would break things, since the final decision is checked whether the faith has six specific variables corresponding to the activation of each holy site - it will not show up otherwise.

I genuinely cannot find that very error in my own error logs and it's effectively a scripted GUI version of the scripted trigger for a character being a succubus. Such a thing is practically incapable of causing a slowdown.

 

What other mods are you running with? What's the load order? I'm not sure what you are doing because in normal circumstances a scripted GUI specifically to check in a character scope (and all instances of calling this in GUI set the player as root scope, so there will always be a character for this character-scoped GUI to fire for) shouldn't be made to check for an "untyped" trigger, and this is a problem I have never encountered through my testing.

 

According to the Modding Co-op "nullweak (Character-4294967295)" is the max value of an unsigned int32 and is sometimes just an engine fault that can't be reliably replicated. There's not "any" way to fix it because I'm not sure what you're expecting me to do with a scripted GUI that works as intended and I cannot fix (and it is not my job to fix) a weird Jomini engine error.
