You just have to ask the dom npc about the dragon wall when you are in the same cell with it.  There is an option under the normal binding dialogue that will open up near a word wall that can start the quest. * also, you have to have it enabled under the events tab in the mcm

0.4.44 - bondage equip fixes

 

* will force outfit re-equip on bondage rules changes

* will force outfit re-equip on bondage set modifications

* fixed issue with magic bondage changes not working in several mod situations

Hi. 

 

I didn't want to pester you any more than necessary for something which I said I couldn't be certain arose form 'Binding', and have now spent days track down the issues I was having with DM3 etc. 

 

Upshot is that I don't think that I'll ever believe a Papyrus log again.  😏 

 

I went right back to my game start and added mods one by one until I tracked it down to something else which I had never even thought of as being the candidate, the problems possibly arising from an update coincidental with adding your mod too, as also were the proximity of the log errors to recorded 'Binding' entries.  I perfect storm of coincidences

 

So apologies if I wasted any of your time, although from what you said earlier, you did seem to track down some cursor rollover issues, so I hope that was some help at least.  I'm going to go back and delete the earlier posts' content if I can, so as not to leave them to confuse anyone else

 

Now that I know what the issues are, I'm just going to go back to the start rather than try and 'fix' the present games, even if it does write off about 100 or so hours of gameplay, 

 

But I will add Binding in again once things are properly stable!

 

Thank you both for your help and I look forward to trying this out again as soon as practicable

0.4.45 - guards and fixes

 

* Fixed a regression with the magic bondage where it was not triggering over 3000.0 units

* Fixed issue with distance check on building exit rule violations 

* Added WIP guards applying bondage (enable in preferences in MCM, turn off magic bondage off if on, will still preference to dom if they are near)

Ok, i got to work, I had to stop Binding, save. Disabled Binding in Mo2. Loaded Skyrim up and made another Save. Run Resaver over it. Activated Binding again and then it worked. Somehow my Savegame was borked.

I testet the Milk Market again, it now points to the correct ShopKeeper, but the Quest starts:
- Dom unlocks the Devices

- Nothing happens, now Dialogues available for the Shopkeep.

 

Although I did manage to get it to work. I locked myself into the Device (and got out of it immediately again ) in the shop and then the scene continued. (Follow me) then I hand to lock myself into it again. And the Szene/Quest played to the End

Technically it can, if you make the same follower your Binding Dom and Devious Follower it will appear like that follower suffers from a bad case of split personality though.
Binding tends to leave DD's that are already in place alone, but not sure how reliable that works currently. With careful setup and management of both mods they should work fine together, though personally I would not recomend it.

yo help me here I have skyrim 1.6.1170 and skse 2.2.6 my game is throwing error at me that skyrimnet.dll not supported for this version. 

If anyone here has same problem please say or if you are making it work which version are y'all using??

Skyrimnet supports all versions of SE from 1.5.97 on onwards AFAIK. It certainly does support 1.6.1170, I use that version too. There is no special trick to get it working, just the usual, get a recent (preferably the most recent) version and make sure you've ALL the listed requirements. (Recently, despite it being mentioned prominently several times that it is a new requirement, people often seem to omit PrismaUI.)

That said, other than being able to utilize it, Binding has nothing to do with SkyrimNet. They've a pretty good support on their Discord, which is where you should go if your problem persists even after ensuring you have ALL requirements for SkyrimNet installed.

Curious to know if the bondage outfit equipment mechanism could extend to the entire outfit instead of just devious devices? I know it works if you have the clothes/armor in the inventory. But it's kind of a pain to keep everything in the inventory. The system adds and equips devious devices just fine even if they're not in player inventory.

It potentially could, I think that's even how it worked in a very early version. However that is a huge cheat if you got mods that lead to the PC being robbed in certain circumstances (or when your equipment gets removed otherwise). There is also the problem that only the base items can be spawned, any player added enchantement will be lost. All in all to many drawbacks and to much of a headache for a fringe usecase.

When enabling the setting so guards manage your equipment, how about giving the player the choice of automatic checks vs the player having to approach a guard and initiate conversation? 

Since safe zones surround cities quite a bit, there should be a timer, like 10 minutes or so (better configurable).

 

Also, when leaving, there are rarely guards in unsafe areas to remove the devices worn in safe areas, maybe a guard has to be approached again to switch equipment to unsafe and a new timer starts to get out.

Some good ideas, the question is when does it become to complex. We are trying to simplify Bindings (play and MCM) for the next version without cutting features or adding more support requests. This runs a bit contrary to that, so begs the question if it's worthwhile anyway. Having to approach a guard to get unbound is also certain to cause complaints, as they can be hard to come by if you need one. (Or people might miss that they have to ask a guard in the first place.)

Not sure if it helps but some days ago my windows automatically enabled some ai app controll over vortex and it started to broke some of the mods - one at a time, throwing exactly the error u posted. Maybe check if you dont have the same problem.

I don't know if there is a setting I am missing but there should be some way for temporary release when you get attacked in a safe area. Also, camping does not bring up any furniture for me. And the soul event only worked once for me and then on any following dragon the script seems to get hung up.

For starters, what version of Binding are you using? 
While not elegant you could use the Safeword or pause binding, either option should release you (though the safeword has an option not to). Camping not spawning the furniture is a rather peculiar error, perhaps you got a papyrus log to see if anything odd is going on? Same with the soul event. If you are on 0.4.45 (further up this page) that should not happen.

Did you run fnis/pandora/etc. after installing the mod?  That furniture is an animation so just wanted to confirm.  As far as the other things, no safe areas release mechanism right now (I will add that to the to do list - would be good optional).  I will take a peek at dragon souls quest and see if I can duplicate that.  Thanks for letting me know!

Hey guys, sorry, festival season has started for me and I was unable to reply :D To answer the first question: I use the most recent version posted here in this thread. That will be 0.4.45. The problem already existed in the older variants.. I will try to bring up a log should it turn out I have met all the prerequisites which brings me to FNIS/Pandora:

Well, I did some upgrades on DD NG as they come, so the animation loaders both ran but I cannot be sure if I only did that after updating DD NG or also with your mod active. Might be the culprit as I didn't know that this was in fact a custom animation. I am on mostly on CachyOS these days but my Skyrim with 1200 mods is still installed on my Windows partition and I didn't take the hassle upon me to move the whole installation over to Linux. That is why I did not follow mod development in large parts in the last 8 months or so and it is the reason why I miss such things because I won't bother reading through 20 pages of thread to find specifics.

 

The Souls issue I can easily reproduce: step close to the dragon, soul gets absorbed, then the prompt comes up that the dom wants to speak to you. You approach them, they say it's necessary, then nothing happens, also not after waiting a minute or so but you can repeat the trigger dialogue as often as you want. It only works on the very first attempt and there absolutely flawless.

 

EDIT: please see the log. I just killed a dragon. I saved after the kill to keep the log file a decent size and then reran the game to start the logging process. Sequence is as follows: I approach the dragon, it burns up, I absorb the soul. Then nothing happens. Only when I check the inventory of the skeleton, the Bones quest triggers and I am supposed to talk to the dom - which I do and they give their 2 cents but after that nothing happens.

 

EDIT 2: Camping furniture now seems to work. It might indeed have been the case that I only ran FNIS and PAR after a new version of DD NG but never after installing your mod.

When you need to kneel down to speak to your master, pressing Z or the designated shortcut key does not bring up a menu.

You sure that log contains the Dragon Fight and soul absorbtion? Can't find it there, but then that might well be because your log basically consists of nothing but:

Whatever that is from, you should really fix or remove it. That log spam is unbelievable, even if it's begning, which it might be, it eats cpu time and resources and makes the log basically unusable.

Anyone using Unforgiving Devices in tandem with this mod? I'm having issues with Bondage Outfits re-equipping. Causing suspended threads in both Binding and UD and causes outfits/devices to not be removed. If anyone is using them together, have a fix/solution? Have you encountered this before?

 

Will most likely have to disable UD when I'm using Binding and just flip it back on when done. Will do some tinkering later to see if I can find a solution as well.
