Huh, that is very strange. I take a peek and see if I can figure out what might be up. Did it happen when trying to talk to the Dom follower or another NPC?

Dom. MCM says that no events are running. As for your DD furniture question, I believe they are called Contraptions and there are some really cool ones.
Also, whould it be possible to choose which device gets equipped with the arm bind rule?

Goes to show how incredibly stable and fun the mod already is :)

DD furniture can be found in the Devious Devices - Contraptions.esm. I believe Devious Devices NG also made some under the engine changes to the furniture framework. Incompatible devices are automatically hidden, scaling is automatic. It's also possible to interact with NPCs locked in furniture, possibly NPC with player too?

Coffees Task Extension and The Forbidden Tome both have mechanisms to spawn and lock the player into DD furniture.

Oh and a small bug report without any consequence and no fixing needed I guess.
I used this mod together with Serana dead sexy on one of my MO2 Profiles. There are a bunch of custom furnitures added which lead to the punishment consisting of me sitting on the edge of a table. As it registered it as furniture to lock in.

 

Which gave me an idea.

If it works with normal furniture why not add it as an option in conjunction with restraints.  This may be a bad idea though because I am actually not sure how it looks ingame when one sits down with a yoke for example.

 

Edit: Nah sadlly does not work in conjunction with arm restraints. One propably would need to build new animations for that and thats propably not worth it.

OK, I decided to tweak the mechanics of the gagged punishment event and that notification was removed as part of it.  There is a different message that is coming out of the normal event process in the mod vs. tied to the kneeling process.  It SHOULD remove the issue in the next update.  Thanks for letting me know about the issue!

So glad to hear it is fun also!  I think one of the reasons I set out to write this thing is there has always been SUCH amazing kinky foundational mods that provide this great assortment of toys, restraints, furniture and I could never find a mod that pulls them all together in an experience to actually fully utilize them, or least the one I had in my head!

Thanks for the info about contraptions.esm.  In DD5, but I had SSEEdit pull it out when I was cleaning masters.  Oops.  It is a bit limited compared to ZAP:

When I dig myself out of the coding sprint I am currently working on, I will give it a test.  Sounds like it works better with DD devices and I some of the ZAP stuff is just not great 3rd person (TFC or you see nothing) or has package issues when you lock in.  There is this great horizontal thing I wanted as a camping furniture, but once you lock the sub in, they jump out and start swinging a whip in the air that magically gets equipped.  Not ideal behavior 😀

Its just a little bit annoying to find as it is not hosted on a modding site but on Github.

I LOVED DM3 when I first used it in LE. It does seem like it has been in the testing phase for years for SE. Looks like darkconsole has not made updates to the code for 2 years.  That is a bummer.  Does it still have a bunch of crazy install requirements? I might just be misremembering how tricky it was because I attempted it in one of the SKSE had to be changed and mods all in flux for the AE game patching.

 

I don't know if I ever found a mod that integrated it, but the furnitures were really cool.

The really sad thing is that ZAP 9 has tied sitting animations (chairs, bench, etc.) but sadly no AE/SE support. I think I read that 10 would have AE support of the box, but I have no idea the ETA.  Thanks for testing the theory!  There are lots of animations that I would like, but forcing myself to learn 3d max (or whatever tool I would need) makes my brain tired.

The requirements are not crazy anymore I use all the newest requirements on AE and it works perfectly. There are a bunch of addon packs floating around on here.

Yeah sadly not a lot of mods integrate its furnitures. Like 2 in my entire load order.  And one of them is a Lola addon.

 

Could be intersting to integrate but depending on the effort propably not worth it.  Mainly wanted to remind people the mod exists as I quite enjoyed it.

Yeah I also sadly have no ETA but I mean I am patient.

 

 

I am impressed how stable  your mod is btw.

Definitely a mainstay of my load order as it ads something that fits in nicely with follower mods and other bondage themed mods. I honestly enjoy it more than devious followers.

 

Oh and a small addendum if anyone is searching for AE/SE compatible mods the most popular ones are tracked in this post. I think it is automated and tracks for the most downloaded ones.

It is still a work in progress but I am trying to apply some OO concept to the mod's code.  I hope to build layers to abstract most of the libraries (ZAP, DD, DM3, TOYS, whatever) for certain functions (Bondage, Sex, Furniture) into management layers, so you end up with something like this:

 

DD --> (method zlib.LockDevice) --> Bondage Manager --> (method BindElbows) --> Main Code

 

So in theory you could do something like this:

 

ZAP -> (method zbfUtil.WearItem) --> Bondage Manager --> (method BindElbows) --> Main Code

 

The basic idea being the bigger logical part of the mod has zero idea what library it is interfacing with.  Which in my head (as reliable as that may or may not be) gives me the the idea that I could roll slightly different version of the core mod without it being a huge deal to do major integration changes with those frameworks.  But, who knows if that will work when the rubber the roads, best laid plans and all...  Not something I would attempt while in WIP development, but maybe around major releases.

Very glad to hear that it seems stable!  You can blame that on the former day job of having to write zero defect software for demanding customers 😀

It is by far not exhaustive, but it is a good starting point. And it only tracks LE mods and if they are updated for SE and also not exhaustively (Stuff like Devious followers not beeing in there for example). Still a good starting point though.

It is just harder to find mods you don't know there (I have seen Netlists easier to understand) . If you want to check on the status of an LE mod the github link is better though.

0.1.04 - Development update

 

This is still in progress, but in the next update, these features should be arriving:

  • Adding a point system for good  and bad behaviors.  These will be used to ask for changes in rules, avoiding rules, extending rules, asking for crafting, asking for gag removal (new always gagged rule).  This actually seems to be working out well, and I might expand the use into other areas of the mod.
  • Dom tracks how much they like rules (randomly set by follower, with the ability change over time [might not make 0.1.04]), and sub tracking of rules preferences (adjusted by dialog interactions), these will affect modifiers in the short term, but will be used for item selection longer term (post 0.1.04).
  • Rules managed by follower. With the ability to select 3 different settings.
    • Sub Managed - how it currently works.  You can ask the follower to set rules how you like and change options in the MCM menu as often as you like.
    • Dom Managed - The follower does it all.  You will get rules added and removed as they wish.  When they are removed, you will have dialog branches for removal with no feedback, removal with positive feedback, removal with negative feedback, and the ability to beg to keep it in place.  These dialog options will change based on points available.
    • Hybrid - You can ask the follower to set rules in dialog interactions if you have points (with no pending punishments).  The follower will occasionally command you to add new rules.
  • New rules: always gagged, corset, slave boots, piercings (note: I have a mixture of item rules and behavior rules in the rules section, I will probably divide these lists while keeping them under the same page as this expands)
  • New event: Harsh Bondage can be triggered by follower

This is of course is just a target list, if it looks like something else is needed to make something work, I will update it.

This mod is my fav slavery mod. However as Of yet I have not been able to get devious devices to work since I switched over to the GOG Skyrim SE. It seems to have the problem with the script extender, and I am running the new GOG system. So if I equip the Devious Device everything is gone except the dragon born's head.

 

Can you remove the need for Devious devices, and just use Zaz?

 

Devious devices doesn't seem to have been up-dated in a while. just as an idea, could you sub toy bondage gear instead of devious devices? Or add to the mcm to be able to use toys bondage gear or Devious Devices bondage gear?

If the concern is about bondage frameworks that haven't been updated for a while, DD is the most recent.

The problem I have had is skyrim keeps up-dating.

 

Because I am tired of the Skyrim up-dating every few months, I switched to Skyrim GOG SE and I am using the latest one, with the latest script extender. I also switched to the cbbc body, and I like the physics hair and armor adds.

 

Devious devices seems to conflict with these mods. Also cursed loot.

 

As of right now I can load a new game, but if I equip any devious device like a hobble skirt, the cbbe body vanishes and there is just a head. So, if I run binding, everytime I choose a choice that includes a devious item I get this floating head issue.

 

I have reloaded the game and tested for the last three weeks. At the start with adding devious devices to the load the box asks if I would be using an older GOG game. If I click this it says I need a dill. It does load in if I click SE. However even when I click cbbe body, and run a bodyslide plus finiss I am getting the same problems. Also (HDT-SMP for SSE 1.5.97 v2.11-30872-2-11-1578745910.7z) conflicts with other hair and physics mods.

 

If Devious devices worked like it did before the update, which made me switch to GOG the newest that would be great.

 

For reasons that I am clueless to understand - TOYS seems to work - However I like the devious devices mods - and they are used in a lot of great mods that would work - if Devious devices and Devious cursed loot - would work - with an up-dated GOG SE - and script extender.

 

If I could get Devious devices to work that would be great. Thank you for your interest.

My plan is to add an MCM page for fine tuning bondage gear selection and will include ZAP options. I actually like some of the ZAP equipment better (hands vs. elbows for instance), even in 8+. Probably 1.0.05, I have already so many changes I am trying to get in order for 1.0.04.  If you do the collar rule and go the bondage type, you can see a few ZAP options at that bottom of the list.  If you want to verify the concept will work, see if one of those will equip OK.  Is DD functional other than the invisible items, MCM showing and all?

I am going to have to give it a shot because everybody seems to be heading that way.  I didn't realize they were upgrading equipment also.  Is new items or just improvements on the existing?

New armbinder versions with new textures and HDT support, padlocks, straps, rings, everything is moving now 😮 textures are also wayy better.

That is really cool.  Is the physics performance OK with everything?  I have avoided a few of the DD items (I am looking at you zadx_HR_IronCuffsFrontInventory) with chains because it sends my 7900 XT to about 1FPS when they are equipped.

So  what i do but this does not always work is build those as an non smp version if I get the option

Should you have trouble installing NG just ask around most people are helpfull.
