0.2.01 preview 2.6 - random stuff

  • attempted to make the inv and rend tags more unique in the dd_items and zap_items json files (attempting to fix ongoing load issues for some users)
  • replaced FISSES mcm saves with JsonUtil based and added ability to specify save name - sorry for invalidating the old xml saves.  you probably should load your most recent and re-save it after upgrading.
  • Modified dom to NPC conversations to work on player cursor selection vs detecting NPCs in the cell.  The more complex conversations are broken but will get that fixed by the next dev build.

Damn didn't update this mod for while, I can see a lot of new features and new mcm options but now I'm not getting any of "binding" dialogues, basically player can get enslaved through defeat but that's it, still no dialoges even after enslavement, do i miss something? like new dependencies? Thanks!

Might want to try starting a new game also, just to make sure everything works. 

 

edit: and the dialogue only works on followers.  and be sure to turn on the Do Not Free Sub When Follower Dismissed in the mcm under preferences if you use the pre-enslavement defeat stuff.

The general idea behind the bondage changes is that all items check slot assignments, so the mod is very careful to not remove or alter something not equipped by this mod.  I am still working this problem and it is likely change more.

 

LE is 100% not going to work currently - The function in PO3_SKSEFunctions that I am using to convert a hex string to decimal is not supported in it.  I have some ideas on how to address this, but it might be a dev preview or 2 first.

 

The only two JSON files in the \SKSE\Plugins\StorageUtilData that are currently enabled are binding_dd_items and binding_zap_items, changing the others will not do anything yet.

I'll have to look and get back but I think this was the version I was using. To preface this it's more than likely on my end. 0.2.01 Preview 5. 

I reverted back and it's still having the issue. 

 

The MCM worked and showed up but there was no dialogue option when I talked to any follower. As in there's no option to [Make this person your dom] etc. Even if I save and reload. Reverting back to the most recent "Live" version fixes it.

Oh? What's the relevance there? I always left that off (it comes off by default).

It depends on if you get defeated by your follower or a potential follower in that pre-enslavement.  If they are a potential follower and enslave you and that is off, it will free you the first cycle where it detects you have a dom but don't have a follower.  Another thing I need to address at some point 🙂

With regards to DD-NG, I've definitely installed it overwriting the original mod.

It contains it's own versions of the DD esps though, so AFAIK they'd *have* to be in there to be present in-game.

 

I've not had a chance to debug it yet in TES5Edit to see if the item records are actually there in the DD-NG esp or whether they're missing entirely, but it's on my list of things to look at.

My gut feeling is that it's a DD-NG issue. Ponzi was talented, but he had far too many irons in the fire and things got missed.....

 

FWIW, I hadn't selected any sets in the MCM as far as I remember, but I had done some fiddling with some settings. Dunno what off the top of my head mind.....

 

I'll try the newest version at some point this week if I get time, but chasing bugs on a relatively new AE load order isn't high in my list of things to do.

This is a beta anyway and anything up-to and including eating your PC is far game.......

(I've got a massive and relatively stable LE load order. Would much prefer a LE version, but meh :P )

You are right there, NG comes with replacement esp's, my bad. Did a quick check, not going over every item of course just comparing entries in armor, the esp's from NG have more entries than the 5.2 ones. That does not rule out that a few items are missing from NG, but the vast majority is pretty certainly there. If there were lots of devices missing in NG, it would affect other mods like DCL, Devious Lore, DFR, etc. as well, but it does not. Also does not explain why it worked for me as long as the items were defined in the MCM. If the devices are missing, they would be missing, always.

Let us know how you testing goes, first report here says it fixes the problem for that user.

Massive LO in LE? Sounds like a ton of bashed patches which sounds like a major PITA (and even so I doubt it's going above 1k mod, and sorry in my book everything blow 1k is at best a modest LO, not even a big one, let alone massive. 🤓)

Hello all, has someone a hint for me how to tweak chastity settings to work for a male pc ? I have Vivis CC. And no idea where i can change the model .

No idea what that even is. I will assume a male chastity device. Is it DD compatible (i.e. build as a Devious Device)?
If you are only after the look, you could probably use xEdit to point a fitting DD to the mesh you want (I've done that with some collars and corsets in the past). That assumes it comes as a DD or at least uses the same slot. If not, you will need to adjust the slot as well, either (recommended) changing the Mesh using Nifscope or (simpler, but not recommended as it might cause problems with scripts, the device hider, other DD that occupy the slot) in xEdit as well.

Yes, you assume right. The point ist, at the moment dd for him is not implemented in Bind and lazypalm wrote that i need to tweak if i want use a male pc.

The equip/unequip function now works for me in this version. I am still on 1.5.97 with DD 5.2 + DDNG. The previous 0.2 previews did not work but this one did.

Thx. I was thinking about. But i am not sure if i crash it.hihi

 

So normaly i dont have any Plans about modding. I can change a few entrys in XEdit. But nothing more. Possible i try it.

Only one way to find out. Only problem is if you go that route, the item will behave like ZAZ devices do, probably worse. I.e. you can easily remove it yourself, it will get removed anytime something removes all your armor (depending on the slot it uses), not sure if it has a SexLabNoStrip, but if not you might wish to add that. Perhaps some chastity keywords too, to increase the chance that SL will pick an animation that fits the circumstances.

@Kargano01 - you really can't do much harm giving it a try.  Just follow the format of the json file and add it the chastity section.  You can try the zap_items file also.

 

When I get some bandwidth I will take a look at Vivis.  Might be a bit though, I am basically in the middle of rebuilding the mod again 🤣

You have no idea.  There will be a buffet of them a week from now.

 

Will be all the same stuff just trying to update the mechanics with lessons learned.

 

 Might push out some half functional previews so people can validate the concepts.
