A lot of times mod added footwear will be assigned to the body slot so that:

 A: It can be worn with many other different clothing pieces that cover different parts of the body

 B: Vanilla game naked yes/no check will consider you fully clothed as long as you are wearing shoes

One more little thing I just noticed - if the 'convert to' means what I think it means, the game thinks you are wearing Noble Cloth, not what you are actually wearing

Apologies for not responding for so long, no ping meant I thought I hadn't gotten a response.

 

The hood occupied slot 46 and the pauldrons took 57.

 

And I have nothing that occupies Hands, Body, or Feet slots that can be seen in that menu.

 

This was one of the reasons I assumed the "Inventory Device" was the real item I would need to apply keywords to or make it so AND could ignore it.

Because it is the Devious Dwarven Cuirass that is taking up those slots, but as you see it doesn't have those slots makred in QAR.

So there must be a hidden item I'm wearing that is doing this.

You're correct - there is. DD has two separate ID's for all of its devices. One ID is for the inventory item, and the other ID is for the equipped item that has the bondage spell effects applied to it. applying keywords to the inventory item won't have any affect, as the game doesn't recognize those as the items you are wearing - it recognizes the spell effect item. when you use a restraints or chastity key to unlock the device, it's removing the spell effect and then unequipping the physical inventory item. If you put the item on again, the spell effect is reapplied and this is what you are equipping.

 

This is why it is so hard to apply AND keywords to DD items - they have to be applied to both the physical item as well as the scriptinstance item in order for them to work the way they are supposed to.

 

QAR doesn't see the scriptinstance item because it is a spell effect item that doesn't show in your inventory, but does cover the body - without the keywords, AND considers it full coverage regardless of whether or not it does so.

Do you have any suggestions for how I could make it work?

Or is my only option to go into SSEEdit or making KID files?

Easiest thing would be to use the KID file for Devious Devices that can be found in the file share that is linked in the very first post of this topic. I don't know if it covers everything, as I only have DD in my loadout for use with Submissive Lola. I don't use any other DD mods at all.

Yeah I use that one but I don't think it covers the items added from Devious Devices NG and other mods like Sexlab Parasites.

I don't think so either, but it would certainly be good to look at in order to see how it was done - you could then add some new lines to it using the same format, but subbing in the necessary item ID's from DDNG and SP

So, question from a relative KID newbie.  I'm trying to make an INI for Caenarvon's Cosplay Gala pack, and the dresses have several variants for each style.  When making the lists, would I have to identify each of the individual dresses, or just the top level style?  I think some have different levels of exposure or transparency, which should impact the keywords.  Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Thank you, but unfortunately that's the wrong cosplay pack.   One I'm trying to do is the Cosplay Gala pack.  But, I think I see what you were doing there, I'm assuming the variants are all the ones named?  If so, how come you have several listed the same but broken into multiple lines?  Is that just to keep them better organized?

Correct - you have to put in all the variants or the keyword will only be applied to the named item.
I broke it into multiple lines just so they didn't become overly long.

Thank you!  Now, would you know how to find the actual name of each item?  Can I do it just by using the console to find the ID and name associated with that?

Open up the esp in Xedit, then expand the Armor category of the mod - you are looking for the Editor ID or Editor Name - Either one will work, but I tend to use the Editor Name.

Here's a screenshot of what I am referring to - in this case, this is the Elle Dark Rebel outfit, but it shows the category as well as the EditorID and Name of the pieces.

I'm having an issue with the keywords not loading. I've installed the mod, KID, and KID patches, but AND is not detecting any keywords for any armors. 

When I checked the armors by trying to edit them with QAR, I found that they did not seem to have any AND keywords attached. Does anyone know the solution to this, and/or a way to check that KID is working?
I'm using MO, if that might affect anything.

 

 

As a separate point, would it be possible to make an option so that untagged slot_32 armor does not affect nudity? That would help with some devious devices which use slot 32.

What KID .ini files are you using? Are they ones that you downloaded from the fileshare linked in this topic, or are they ones that you created yourself?

 

I've never used QAR, so I'm not familiar with how it works - is it perhaps changing the editor ID/Name of the armor pieces that it changes? If it is, that will negate any AND Keywords applied via KID .ini file.

 

If you can post a copy of one of your KID files that doesn't seem to be working, I can have a look at it and see if it is set up correctly. Even just a text copy of the .ini file will work for my purposes.

There are KID files for DDs out there, though beware that some of them don't tag things correctly due to the inventory/scripted versions.
If you could provide more information/documentation, help would be much easier to provide.
For example, which outfits you are having trouble with, what KID ini files  you're using, and what versions you're running

If all else fails, Quick Armor Rebalance will allow you to edit armor keywords while in game.   EDIT:  Fixed the link, thank you Aldid for catching that!
