What's the problem? I think it's been applied, but when I run Skyrim, the animation list doesn't pop up.

Gender specific animations are an optional feature supported by FNIS. If it says no gender directory it just means you don't have mods providing gender specific animations (and no, this has nothing to do with SL animations). It's harmless, unless you think you have mods with gender specific animations and it still says that (then the mod is likely not installed correctly or the folders are not named properly).

What mod have you installed that requires gender specific animations? since if the answer to that is none then maybe you just have it ticked when you shouldn't

On a separate note, what skeleton are you using?

He has the correct skellie installed but either he has chosen an incorrect option  when installing or, more likely, something has overwritten it.

 

OP: FNIS should say 126 bones for the skellie.
