Why all the hate for Khajiit?

I recently started playing Skyrim and I had made my character Garfield Arbuckle to venture with, I chose Khajiits because they were said to be sneaky and I like playing a thief in these types of Bethesda games https://routerlogin.uno/.

But everytime any of my friends look at my character and see a Khajiit they boo me, is there some kind of meme I'm unaware of or is the Khajiit just a really bad race?

It is fear of guilt by association with the worst elements of the Furry Fandom. Some people are scared to even admit that they like a man-animal hybrid character because they are terrified that someone will think that they are a furry fan therefore they must wear a dirty fursuit with a diaper underneath it or some such rot.

The hyperbolic response that some people have is amusing to bait out sometimes (which is one of the reasons why I still use this screenname which was originally used as a gag many a yonk ago).

It's because Khajit are basically furries and apparently among your friends it is en vouge to boo them.

If it isn't the in game reason that khajiit are often looked at as thieves or as beastfolk, then

I would second this suggestion based on what everyone else has said to this point.   Or at least get friends with a better and more apparent sense of humor if they are just kidding you.

Diapers? I thought furrys used litter boxes.

 

Come to think of it do Khajiit use litter boxes? They are cats after all.
