Perform a hard cleanse of UI Overhaul Dynamic, unsubscribe then make sure the mod is deleted then resub to the mod so you get a clean up-to-date copy. I'm using UI Overhaul Dynamic and am not encountering this issue.

The replacer version is allowing standard game species for privatives, instead of only having VF species + whatever mods are installed.

Edit: The problem is only with the special privatives that are on two separate planets in the same system. The one where it is stated that they are old enemies.

hi @ModderWhoModsThings  i do new thing Mam10.zip but i till not know why when i zip the preview disappear so sorry if someone know pls tell me 

 

btw i try too make a new species focus on humanoid with horn if one have bull horn and a other have deer or sheep... they can be in the same species or i separate  them ?

Thanks for the portraits, they are looking pretty good to me and unless I find any problems while adding them to the mod they'll all be in the next update. As for the new species, you mean basically humans with horns, right? Not full furries? If so you can have the bull and sheep horns as 10Kem since bull and sheep horns are both short and somewhat similar, then have deer horns and antlers as 11Kem. Remember that at least 5 portraits of each gender including futa are required to start a species. I've reserved the names 10Kem and 11Kem for those species.

I'm see blank portraits for Hum16/ Warhammer Tau. Looking through the portraits on empire creation leader screen Male Phenotype has 3 listed but only two portraits, While Female Phenotype has 48 list but only 33 portraits and Futa has 4 in the list but only 3 portraits.

 

I was using the non replacer version if that makes a difference.

 

Edit: Also seeing blank portraits for the Warhammer Humans Portraits as well.

The portraits you listed are stored in the VF Portraits submod. Make sure that you are using the most recent version of VF Portraits (that would be version 2.4), as older versions would not contain those portraits.

What portraits are you trying to use? Everything seems fine when I tested it, so try launching the game with only VF and VF Portraits activated to see if it's a mod compatibility thing.

Status update on the issue where some special systems are spawning with base game portraits: I'm not sure when I'll be able to get a fix for it. I compared the VF code to the current base game code to see if there were any changes with the files used to define special systems, but I can't find any differences other than the VF version using VF species. I haven't been able to figure out the issue and I haven't had much time to work on it lately, so if anyone wants to take a crack at it in the mean time, be my guest.

Is this mod not compatible with version 3.14 of the game? cuz despite my troubleshooting its still now working.
And I'm not gonna bother running the game with this mod by itself because it worked fine with my mod list the last time i played Stellaris (Which was around June earlier this year)

After a few hours of fucking around and finding out, turns out the issue was 'Base Game Portraits Gender Patch' which im guessing is useless while using VF.
Also 'ZS Animated Species' was part of the issue which i find odd because i had VF loading AFTER ZS so something funky was going on there.

I don't see any reason why ZS would interfere with this mod, I looked through its code and it doesn't overwrite anything from VF. As for the Base Game Portraits Gender Patch, I was not able to find a mod by that name. If you mean the LV Gender Patch, I took a quick look at that and can't find any compatibility issues either. It's a weird issue you're having and I can't think of any reason why it would be happening, considering that VF creates its own species and species sets rather than overwriting existing ones.

That depends on what you mean. If you want me to add portraits from those mods to VF's robot species, I have no problem with that and I can reach out to the mod authors to see if I can get their permission to do so. If you want me to just copy and paste the species from those mods into VF, it would go against the current organization of robot species in VF and it would be redundant as you could accomplish the same thing by just using those two mods alongside this one.

The standard version of the mod removes all premade empires from the base game. You can either use the non-replacer version, which leaves the premade empires intact, or you can create a custom empire (which I highly recommend). The single premade empire added by this mod is legacy code that was necessary to keep the game functioning properly, but in the next update I might update or remove that empire depending on if it's still needed or not.

OHH ok thank you so much! (every time I make a faction I start out losing a shit tonne of materials n stuff and for a new player idk if that is normal or not) idk if im making a shit faction or thats normal :/

Different species traits and faction ethics/civics can make a noticeable difference in productions, but it doesn't really matter all that much. You should create whatever faction you think is cool without worrying too hard about the gameplay effects. Also, in my experience you do tend to stretch your resources thinly in the early game. Build mining stations to exploit space resources, sell things you produce an excess of to buy things you're short on, and don't build more things on your planets than your people will use.

Do you still take volunteer contributions if said volunteer correctly crops and resizes images to the specifications you specify, or do you encourage people to use the portrait generator mod instead? 
Secondly, do you take AI generated portraits from volunteers if they are of sufficient quality to your judgment? I made a set of anubian jackals (which I can share at request) to crop and edit, with ideas to add a species of thick crystal gems from SU as a lithoid species subsequent after that but then realized I have no idea how to mod species/portraits into the game (granted this was before the VF portrait generator came.)

Yes, we are still accepting image donations! We have no problem with AI images if they are of sufficient quality and conform to the general artstyles used in the mod (images that look too realistic or 3D may be rejected for being too different from existing styles). Both anubian jackals and SU gems would be acceptable additions to VF, but if too many portraits end up getting rejected or something I'm also happy to help people make their own mods. My preferred method of communication is through Loverslab direct messages, and files should be shared through Google or Mega drives.

As you may have noticed I posted a mod I called "VF Inspired Themes", Comprised of sets I thought might not meet the standards for VF Continued. Feel free to include any of the portraits from the sets. Some of the Twi'lek or Togruta ones from the Jedi/Empire/Rebels sets might make for good additions to the existing sets.

I'll definitely look into it, I'm sure I'll find plenty of Twi'lek and Togruta that will make for great additions to VF!
