The entire rest of the game is dogshit except for the ryujin questline which easily could have been expanded into the main quest instead of whatever the fuck we got Edited September 14, 2024 by ZoeyKL

But I did like the UC Vanguard questline, well most of it anyway. Having to listen to all the, 'yak yak yak yak yak' was annoying, and Bethesda's illogical 'Space Magik' hypothermia on Tolliman II is a pain. But the Terrormorph fighting is fun. And oh yeah. My latest ship. I just called it the 'Studebaker', because from certain angles, it really reminds me of a Studebaker. Spoiler Edited September 14, 2024 by Wandering_Mania
Wandering_Mania Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 This one I call the 'Tortoise'. It's a freighter (obviously) and/or 'light passenger transport'. 21200 base cargo (76320 with skills and crew), and 8 passenger spots. Spoiler
DocClox Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 This started life as the Frontier, but .... ... there's something insectile about the way it turned out. I'd love to hear what Barret ha to say about his ship's new name 1
nIn nIn nIn Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Looks nothing like it's name sake though ??? 1
DocClox Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 I didn't know it had a namesake. Will try harder next time
nIn nIn nIn Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 (edited) lol. We had a pool way back when I was a kid. 1978. The Creepy Crawly was all the rage back then, all the cool kids had one in their pool keeping the dirt off the floor. Along with the floating chlorine tablet thingy. We were so cool. All the kids from our school across the road used to gather for after school activities. Edited October 10, 2024 by nIn nIn nIn
EgoBallistic Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 (edited) Still rocking my Nightshade. I went through the Unity and started a NG+ so I rebuilt it, but it's the same as before, minus the Crimson Fleet equipment since I haven't started that questline yet: All the major components (cockpit, habs, structural, landing bay) are Nova Galactic or Taiyo, with the exception of the Hope 5 landing gear below the engine nacelles. It's a Class B but with Class A engines so it's as fast as possible and the SA-4330 engines give it that all-important 100 maneuverability. The weapons are 6 x Vanguard Obliterators and two KE-49A Autocannon. With that loadout I can fully power both weapon sets, the shields, and the engines with just the stock power from the reactor. Of course with crew that has Aneutronic Fusion skill I have enough left over to power the grav drive as well. The mighty SA-4330 engines: General layout. The habs are all Nova Galactic. Right to left they are a 2x1 Command Center, 2x1 Generic Berth B, and 2x1 Living Quarters. Directly below the Generic Hab is a 2x1 Armory leading out to a Taiyo Ship Bed 200 landing bay. TheRightDoorIsNotTheLeft Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 (edited) Once I learned I could replace the reactor on a Class A ship, I modified the Razorleaf to have maxed out everything. Didn't care about making it sleek. I just wanted it to have the max stats. Weapons, engines, grav drive, and reactor. Full mobility and max possible speed. DocClox Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 This is the Inquisitive. Designed to support all manner of Inquiry, from Inquest to Inquisition.
DocClox Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 This fearsome looking contraption, I called the Mad Dog, (or sometimes Wardog). It's actually based on the Junker Watchdog you get in the Starjacker quest. Hence the "dog" names.I just upgraded it a little. I normally favor ventral dockers. In particular, I'm not really a fan of forward facing ones. But they do afford the luxury of building up! Too many of my ships seem to end up as heavily armed square slabs· It's nice to change things up now and again. And I do like the feeling of bulk when the thing looms over you on the landing pad. 1
DocClox Posted August 14, 2025 Posted August 14, 2025 This is the Vespula. From the latin name for the wasp genus. I've got a mad scientist character, so I wanted something kind of sciencey sounding Spoiler It started life as a Frontier remix; the central cockpit and hab line is more or less unchanged. The inspiration came because I recolored my grav speeder bike from black to a nice high-viz yellow. Not as cool looking, but far easier to see where you parked So then I changed the red in my ship livery to yellow to match, and it just looked so waspy I had to run with it. It's a little slower than I like them, but I don't see a way around that without going for the big AvonTech engines - and that wouldn't fit the look I'm going for. And top a speed of 130 is serviceable, certainly. 1
DocClox Posted September 5, 2025 Posted September 5, 2025 (edited) This is a silly one. This is the UCS Sarah Morgan's Nipples. Or "S.M.Nipples" on the registration form due to the character limit. I figure if she's going to get annoyed at me no matter what I do, I might as well give her something to be offended at. This is early after Unity, so I don't have a lot of creds. A class reactor, only two weapon systems; it's pretty bare bones. Still, it's surprisingly capable for all that. That said. I don't think this is the ship that will take me to Unity this time. I had fun making it, but the joke is going to wear thin soon. I think it's time to try something else. Edited September 5, 2025 by DocClox
DocClox Posted September 7, 2025 Posted September 7, 2025 On a similar theme. I thought I'd take another crack at the Kundalini. As I may have remarked before, "kundalini" is an ancient Sanskrit term that can be loosely translated as "I've got your Great Serpent right here! In my pants!" The spherical bits are all Matty's habs & cockpits. The, ah, cokhead is a combination bridge, cabin docker and lander and the only inhabitable part of the ship, The shaft is all structure and the balls are mainly cargo. 1
