DocClox Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 (edited) I've been tinkering with the Frontier: Spoiler Edited September 17, 2023 by DocClox 2
Decèdere Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 I guess I'm not that far in the game still ('bout 40 hours). I just finished the "Secret Outpost"/Mantis mission and got that Razorleaf ship reward. I threw on another EM weapon instead of the missile and all of a sudden I find myself able to survive ship combat. I don't know what I'm doing but I'm having fun doing it. 3
Decèdere Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 (edited) Gave it a paint job. I'm still working on the Pilot and Starship Design perks before I try building one. Edited September 17, 2023 by Decèdere 1
Wandering_Mania Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Here's mine, called the UCV Sphinx. It's It's actually at 'max module count', max length, max weapons, kills any ship in about 5 shots, and is basically unable to be damaged. Spoiler 2
Trykz Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 My HIGHLY modified Shieldbreaker: Spoiler This thing is ridiculous. 9 turrets 7 lasers 5 launchers almost 8000 shield 6 class B reactors Rips through enemy ship shields and hulls like a razor through melted butter. God I love mods that remove limitations ? 3
Wandering_Mania Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Made my Sphinx a bit 'sleeker' looking, and pulled it away from the module cap, while adding jump range. Here's the updated design: Spoiler 1
Mexicola88 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 I edited the Kepler R to my liking, it has every "living" module available and exactly 3000 cargo capacity. It shows 3300 because i picked one of these +10% cargo skills in the beginning of the game. I am only level 39 so far, so haven't found any ultra super special ships or something yet. But i like my Kepler R. It has very low firerate in combat, but it gets the job done. 4

Decèdere Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 (edited) Got an upgrade to an even better class A ship. The Star Eagle. Edited September 18, 2023 by Decèdere 4
Miauzi Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 (edited) A fundamental question for my own understanding of shipbuilding: You can't build more than three decks on top of each other ... is that right? All I see of ships so far are -> WIDE and FLAT like a "pancake" or its "thin sandwitch". ... I think I'll stick with my Mantis ... in the meantime I have all the important things for research and production on a small planetary base ... there I can also set up cargo containers without end. In the meantime I have rejected the idea of a "flying base". --- P.S. Der "Sternen-Adler" ist wirklich ein schönes Schiff - danke fürs das "Teilen" Edited September 18, 2023 by Miauzi
Mexicola88 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Yeah Star Eagle is the best Class A Ship. It's a very good ship for combat and it looks fine too.

First of all, thank you for this information. You could also build a "space cleaning woman". ?

IBAGadget Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 This is my current (in use) vessel, a heavily modified Dragonfire II Class C ship. I didn't like the original layout, but I wanted the bridge. I've loosely based this layout and design on the Eagle from Space: 1999. Additional pics can be found on my G-Drive (click the link) https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ljMnh-Ab4_fOFV5CWEzQS9mOmOymMXQJ?usp=drive_link All pics taken in build mode, so you can see what the specs as well as what the highlighted modules are. Video is a tour through the interior layout. 2

Mexicola88 Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 "Putze" means cleaning lady in german, but it's not the official word the official word is "Putzfrau", "Reinigungskraft" or "Raumpfleger".
Wandering_Mania Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 (edited) Here's my Starborn's ship, called the 'Scythe', named after, and inspired by, the Planetside Vanu Sovereignty Scythe. New overall design, same "OP" kinda stats as the Sphinx: Spoiler Edited September 19, 2023 by Wandering_Mania Redone ship design, new pictures added. 1

If you mean the 'in game skills'; It's just all about focusing your skill points. If you mean 'actual design skills' so the ships don't look like ' flying shipping containers'; I don't really know. Call it a 'natural talent', call it my ability to 'quickly grasp onto what can be done'; Call it what ever you want, but I really don't know how to describe it.
