The amount of times I’ll hear her say “6 7” within any given moment makes me want to jump the fence at the nearest overpass. I love that kid, but holy shit lol.

I hope this trend dies out soon, my sanity won't last much longer.

Whatever, dude. It still changes nothing.

Just ignore him.

He is chronically online and constantly trying to satiate his need to feel superior and/or smarter to other people with snarky comments and not being helpful on threads seeking help.

But I'm not gonna feed into this argument without contributing to the original topic.

I'm personally tired of people just blindly saying "Skill issue" and dismissing valid arguments and complains regarding a game's current state. And I'm especially tired of people saying it just to rage bait.

I’ve never heard anyone say that.

It's popular with a specific age group, you might just have dodged them.

Basically, it involves a kid shouting SIX SEVEN, waving their arms in a specific gesture, and every kid around them laughing as hard as they can, repeating the hilarious number.

And repeat, on and on.

And mercy be upon the poor soul who unwittingly speaks either of those numbers in their presence.

It's mostly the sheer loud repetition that gets grating. Most meme phrases are said about once per hour, and they stop using it after a week or so. This one is both much more frequent, and longer living.

And in case you were wondering, it's not a reference to anything. It's just those numbers.

They're only 2 off from the best number.

...

69🤣

Wife and daughter work at an elementary school, and when the subject of math comes up.......well, needless to say there might be a generation of kids who won't know all the ways to sum two numbers to get to the number 13.

Spoiler

In case your wondering, they made the mistake of asking what is 6+7.

The only reason I continued humoring his bullshit was because I enjoy seeing him act like he knows what he's talking about. I find it mildly amusing. Maybe that makes me a psychopath, but I don't really give a shit. My fiancée got a laugh out of it.

There's a reason why I avoid online games, and that's one of them.

Sounds like the kind of brainless shit people invent on TikTok, which is why I stay away from there.

Speaking of TikTok, I'm sick of people asking me if I want to make one with them. No, I don't want to make a fucking TikTok with you, and no, I don't want to watch that stupid bullshit. I'm sorry that, despite having ADHD, my attention span lasts longer than 3 minutes or whatever the fuck it is.

That is exactly how it spread.

I might get into "old man shouts at clouds" territory here, but Tiktok legitimately weirds me out. It doesn't seem healthy.

I’m 20 years old, and I don’t go near that crap.

People using "begs the question" when what they really mean is "raises the question" or "brings up the question."

You might or might not be aware that In-n-Out Burger has removed 67 from their order numbering system (along with 69). I'm sure other companies have done or will do the same. I imagine most of us agree that 67 will die off as a meme quickly, because it doesn't mean anything, if it has in fact not already done so. 69 will be with us forever because it refers to something. When's the last time you heard "Do you know de way, me brudda?" (or whatever the exact meme was) in any context other than discussing memes? Or "Baby shark, doo doo doo doo?"

They don't have to worry about 420 because order number systems don't go that high, I'm sure. 420 will, in my opinion, be with us forever, too, but never be as popular or as well-known as 69. Because I bet a lot more people have sex than use cannabis.

"Do you know de way to 67 baby sharks, me brudda?"

Characters in shows or movies asking  "What do you mean?" after being  told something plain, clear and unequivocal.

EDIT: Example from the recent Idris Elba series Hijack: "Your husband has been trying to communicate with us." "What do you mean 'communicate'?"

"It's not pissing.. it's SQUIRTING.. There's a difference!"

Well, no, no there's not. In 99% of cases you can clearly see the pee coming from the pee-hole. There are some women that have over production of lubricant, they can be very wet, so wet that it can burst out in severe cases. But this is like 1 in 100.000 cases. I had a girlfriend who was vehemently against pee-sex. Yet when she was squirting YELLOW into the bath tub, she insisted it wasn't pee. And I was like.. Girl.. you can say whatever the hell you want, but you gotta admit to yourself that this is pee and you are just as perverted as I am. But of course I said.. 'Yes, so hot'.. :D

Extra gripe: All the AI shit overtaking porn and creators not tagging it properly as AI shit. Fuck generative AI.

Regardless of what hole it shoots out of, if it's not urine (and I don't know whether it is or it isn't), then it's not pissing.

On topic, describing a movie or show as "underrated" or "underappreciated." All that means is "I like it and no one else does."

In the same vein, people calling something that's really popular "overrated" just because they don't like it.

When people describe something, usually a process, not a physical thing, as "straightforward." What that says to me is that they understand it well enough for themselves but not well enough to be able to explain it someone else. This is kind of related to something I've mentioned before, "basically" or "essentially." I find the difference is that "basically/essentially" means they don't really understand it and are spinning bullshit to cover for their ignorance, whereas straightforward is bullshit they spin to cover for the fact that they can't explain it very well.

I can’t even begin to describe the visceral rage I feel whenever I hear someone say “hard work pays off” or something similar. Historic evidence and personal experience tells me that you can do everything right and still get fucked over. A solid work ethic is good for its own set of reasons, but if you’re not lucky, don’t know the right people, or aren’t born into the right family, you’re SOL.

"Nature of the beast." More vague bullshit people say because they don't understand the thing being discussed.

Like Todd Howard and his Skyrim.  "It just works."  Sure, Todd.

I am sick of seeing this quote: "Strong men create good times" and three other sentences involving the word men. Apparently it is a quote from G. Michael Hopf according to Professor Google.

Can we all agree that whoever made this quote really wants to be fucked by a man? Either that or that person is so fucked up because mommy won't give them attention.
