I'll make a backup copy of 3.8 before updating just in case. 1

Masterstroke will be updated when we have time, but there is such a thing as real life. You should not be asking the authors for old versions, you would know this if you actually read the wabbajack rules. You're just making things more difficult for everyone. Mod authors are not required to leave old versions up.

It is our job and the mod authors are not involved. But it hasn't even been a whole day, no need for people to get anxious and cry about it yet.

I'm fine with waiting, but I fail to see how asking once so I can try to solve a problem I'm having is "making things more difficult" in any substantial way. It was a quick question, I got my response and didn't pester anymore. No crying or anxiety here.

Because some authors get asked frequently to keep old versions, which means they end up troubleshooting issues that are likely fixed in the new versions, even when they say they don't support old versions. Because of this, they get cranky (rightfully so) and this makes them hostile to wj lists. Problems with a list are just that, the list's problems not the author's. Authors don't know what else is in a list, nor what patching was done to make a mod compatible with a list, so they don't always know why it broke. Which means they are wasting effort trying to troubleshoot what someone else may have done and not necessarily what they did. And I'm not speaking only about this mod here, but in general for that. Making a mod author upset so they take down or otherwise make their mod difficult to install (yes, there's at least one case of someone actively making things difficult for lists because of people asking for old versions) helps no one. If you have a problem with a list, it's not the mod author's fault and bringing them into it makes a poorer experience for everyone. They don't control when a list is updated, and leaving an old version of a mod up suggests they still support that mod, even when they actively state they do not. 3

Still went into labor four times. Repeated drinking curse potion after each subsequent labor, no effect. Did not pick up any additional eggs at all.

I will have to spin up another test save because I didn't retain it after testing and I have the mod disabled currently in my main playthrough, but yea, I'll try to get you some more clear diagnostics when I have some free time.
VividerMicrobe Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Hi, I downloaded and installed the newest version of the mod, and I'm having some weird issues with it. Whenever I attempt to follow the process for updating the mod (disabling it, removing from modlist, saving, then adding new version), it'll show up in the MCM, but whenever I select a slider, it shows the value as "NaN.00", and if I try to adjust it at all, my game immediately crashes. If I load up the save file, don't touch any of the settings, and save, it disappears from my MCM. I checked the information tab within the MCM before I saved, and it said it was version 3.9, so it SHOULD have updated correctly, but for some reason it's not working. I also tried a few times to switch from 3.8 to 3.9 without changing any of the settings or disabling the mod, and when I loaded the save, it gave me the warning that it was missing the Egg Factory mod, even though I had the new one installed. I'm pretty sure there might be an issue with the ESP itself, based on that info. I'm running on SE, on SKSE version 1.5.97 if that helps any.

Need to be sure they are not with egg, you can only have 1 at a time midwife spell will help with detecting this

I have notices that sometimes the suspicious egg stays in your innovatory and will continue to infect and wont be removed. make sure you don't have any still in your inventory. 1

You should use the uninstall checkbox to stop existing pregnancies first. Otherwise, that's exactly the kind of bugs you'll get. 1

Everything works for me, except for the animation. During labor, the character just stands motionless and sometimes twitches, the sound is played normally and other functions also work. I am not very experienced in this, but I have not found any visible reasons for this. The FNIS does not show any problems. Maybe something needs to be done in the OAR, but I can't even imagine what exactly. Maybe someone has come across something like this?

If MCM doesn't show up after a couple minutes in-game, you are probably missing SkyUI or using the wrong SKSE for your version.
Angel019 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Hi, just a quick question regarding followers, my followers do get pregnant when i give them cursed eggs but when they birth eggs there are no animations for them but my PC does have it, is that intended?
