Is it because it has also background? This can be done in game by making the ship your secretary, pressing the eye button, then pressing the "circle over a triangle" button and dragging to a new position. But the method below can edit sub-layers if needed: Open the Painting/L2D/SpinePainting bundle (for regular 2D, use the one without _tex in the name) in UABEA and find the GameObject with the same name as the file then navigate to the "m_Component" array. The first element (index 0) should be the "Transform" component. Then you can edit the coordinates from there (just x & y, leave z as 0). I can give more specific instructions if you can send a screenshot of the issue. Hope this helps! 1

For me, the easiest way from start to make sure its pretty similar with its original is to use the original file image, edited and add new layer on top of it with your new image, then remove original layer. 2

jhsrs42 Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 Hi so, I've been looking into and experimenting modding skins and all that, i've managed to figure out how to mod the basic static skins though I'm running into a wall with editing the L2D skins: I'm unable to convert the games l2d file (ex aersasi_2 file) to a texture png for editing, I'm using the unityl2dextract software i found on github, though whenever i try to extract it, it just doesnt work, does anyone have alternatives or know how to convert the l2d files to a texture png for editing I have 0 clue how to take a texture png and export it back into a L2D file to import back into the game, It doesnt seem like i can do the same way as standard tex files as whenever i open a L2D file with UABEA I can't find a specific file to edit my texture png onto, any leads as to how to actually edit a l2d skin would be helpful, oh also, does anyone know if theres a software which can recombine the L2d textures specifically into a whole image?, I have ALPEP, though from my testing I cant use that for L2D texture pngs Thanks for any help

You just download the zip from releases, run the exe, drag and drop the L2D bundle, select "Memory" when prompted, then press the "Info" button, then press Ctrl-E to bring up the filter, deselect all of them except "Texture2D", click to select the texture you want to export/edit, press "Plugins" on the side. Once you're here you have two options, either export the texture as a PNG (same as the program you found) or edit the PNG, select the one you want and press "Confirm". For editing, a window will pop up, you need to change two things: "Texture Format" should be changed from "ETC2_RGBA8" to "RGBA32" (scroll up to the top), then at the bottom of the window press the "Load" button next to "Texture" and select the image you want to import. Now press "Save", after the plugin window closes click somewhere on the "Assets Info" window to refocus it and then press Ctrl-S, then press "Ok" on the popup window, then close the "Assets Info" window. Now you can either save to the file you dragged into UABEA originally with Ctrl-S or save as a new file with Ctrl-Shift-S or use the "File" menu button at the top left. Make sure the file has the right name before you patch it. Hope this helps P.S. You can use the same method with spine animations found in the spineships folder. P.P.S If you need screenshots just ask.
QuestionableIntentions Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 @PrinzEugen69 Not sure if you're willing but I made an update to ALPE called ALPEP that you could include in the OP. Its capable of unscrambling textures and rescrambling them for easier editing. I have a full walkthrough in the readme if you're interested. I'm working on a new version that can do UABEA's job too, though idk when that'll be done...

For now probably only the L2Ds. Maybe I'll do still image versions for them and other non-L2D girls if I like them and/or people want it, but other modders already have that covered (except english modders I've seen so far put them behind paywalls, not cool). It's also easier for me to edit the L2Ds because I'm not good at digital art (yet) where I would have to redraw the lewds on top of the whole unscrambling textures whereas L2Ds it's removing textures, editing/cleaning them and adding or painting in the nips or vag. 10 hours ago, Solovan0116 said: I have a bunch of nude edits is it possible to use these for mods? Not sure if you were referencing manual texture unscrambling, but I did adapt an old program to un/rescramble the textures automatically. eternalflameiv Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 (edited) @QuestionableIntentions I finally got around to fixing up my mod manager a bit, but I no longer have a Windows machine easily at hand and can't translate it for use on Windows anymore. Hopefully WSL works well enough for this. This script needs: - a mostly POSIX-compliant shell (written for bash) - 7z - https://github.com/jb2170/better-adb-sync or equivalent (and Python) - Root (for now; it can probably be easily adapted to work with Shizuku or run from ADB) - Mods packaged such that the mod files are in the correct folders they need to be in relative to the game's AssetBundles folder (see attached mod for Noshiro's base skin) Notes: - This was originally written in a way that used mods sorted across multiple folders; the code reflects that somewhat. A mod sorter, though not super useful, is included. I can try to send over the original if needed. I rather hastily refactored this to use a single "mods" folder, and so this might not actually be immediately usable if I didn't cleanly change paths that reference the layers of mod folders. - This is currently set up to store backups of the original files on-device. This may be undesirable. - Diffs to check for backup integrity run somewhat slowly. There's probably a better way to do this.
