JohnDWizard Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Well, we have our first couple of bugs: When taking a modest ritual, while being Åsatru and having max concubines, the wife and all concubines gained several stacks of "Forced my relative into a Blasphemous union". It's fine, really. It'll go away, but it shouln't trigger like this.

EDIT: Not sure if its a Regula bug or another mod, but about 15 years into a campaign and I suddenly unlocked the ability to recruit ALL retinue MAA. The latter two I also get, and for everyone. @ban10, what is it exactly that gives Knowledge xp, in the Magister trait? It's very slow to gain, at least as an adventurer. 1
Konstrukter2 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Can't find what gives Knowledge experience. I got 4 points from somewhere but can't find where. Current run is Adventurer to nomadic government. Is it something only proper landed rulers can do? Domination, Sculpting and Breeding were full before i settled. Also are the Decisions to get Familu traditions new? I always like subversion/corruption stories, so had for a long time the thought that it would be interesting to have one true Regula Magistri religion (World) and then every religion group would either get a "magistrated" version within itself. Instead of continent based. Or a heavily syncretic version within the Magistri group. I often use the sync tenents to not get holy war-ed every other year already.

I got it through the good old humble Mutare Corpus personality choice. Edit: Regula has stages/grades of success. Probably only the higher get you additional benefits. Perhaps counterintuitivly, since you might expect that to boost sculpting, the only reliable method I found for Domination XP was Mutare Corpus > Personality. I honestly think it might be bugged, since there's definitely at least an issue with the english localization for gaining xp. I don't think I saw a single xp gain from Fascinare, Charming Prisoners, Orgy (couldn't complete Charm intent in orgy anyway), or creating Contubernalis. Edited May 7 by MasterQuinn

You might get some Knowledge xp from raising your piety level, but after going through just about all the files "ctrl f ctrl v TRACK", the best source of knowledge xp is study intent for orgy, and it didn't give me anything in game. So that's bugged or I got bad rng. Regardless there clearly should be a better way to get knowledge xp, and that there's not seems like an oversight.

If you are trying to figure out how to start using the mod's features, you start by selecting the 'Acquire Regula Magistri' decision. From there, play out the event where you meet the three women. This starts the 'secret cult' phase. Use the 'Show Book' interaction on characters in your court, then once you have completed however many of the objectives listed in the 'Awaken The Keeper of Souls' decision, use it and this will make you the Magister and change your realm over to that system. If on the other hand, 'Holy Lords Creed' is a translation of one of the Magisters powers, certain powers now require you to reach certain levels in the XP tracks of Magister trait before you can use them.

I haven't tested it, but if it doesn't work I'll let you know within an hour and if it does work I'll be playing the game. The Magister trait work was not yet fully finished so I probs shouldn't have pushed out a release for CK3 1.19 😖, my bad everyone I'll be spending the next couple of weeks on bugfixing and ensuring the Magister trait XP tracks are fully fleshed out (what they give access to and gaining XP in them). I'm also going to be doing a big general refactor/audit of the codebase in general, to try and sniff out any old bugs or the like. Will keep you all posted, but for now I need to stress that the latest version of RM (5.2.0) is barely playable, sorry Do keep posting bug reports as you see them, I do write them all down and take the time to see if I can fix/replicate them. The more information you can give, the more it helps me track down bugs, shoutout to those who provide code fixes for certain things as that also helps me test stuff out. Plenty of small stuff that needs fixing, sure, but the only real 'gamebreaker' I've seen is the stacking 'Blasphemous Union' opinion malus. Just had that one pop up myself, actually. As far as I can tell, that one is getting caused by the changeover from using Tenets to Doctrines for the religion. Somewhere along the way the game thinks Regula is supposed to be a monogamous faith. Edited May 8 by MasterQuinn 1

Hopefully some of the others here can help pinpoint things and ease the workload a hair by suggesting code to fix X or Y or at the least pointing you in the right direction for you to look
MasterQuinn Posted May 8 Posted May 8 For any interested, since it seems like XP gain for the magister trait isn't quite balanced at the moment, here is the console command to give yourself xp in the various tracks. effect add_trait_xp = { trait = magister track=X value=Y } Replace X with either Domination, Sculpting, Breeding, or Knowledge. Replace Y with how much XP you want. 1
