Wanted to do it as well for a long time after so many times playing as a dude, now it is "playing as Demoness futa turning the relm into VERY fucked up place" Quite easy, just couple lines deleted to clear restrictions as well as 1) Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod\Regula_Magistri\common\decisions Replace regula_initialize_decision file. Nothing major, just deleted requirement to be male 2) Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod\Regula_Magistri\common\traits Replace Regula_trait file. Again, just deleted the line with gender being male as requirement, so it works for female player as well. 3) Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod\Regula_Magistri\common\laws Lastly, be sure to overwrite the laws using the attached files. That corrects issue of female player divorcing her spouses due to regula laws. What it does: Edits the files to allow both males and females and work with some special laws from other mods that even limit inheritance and such to females only. Thank you for the female magister edits, I once tried to do this but a) lost time and b) was still new to modding. Much appreciated! Have you tested to see if it works with being an Adventurer and using the Magister Camp Purpose? Edited March 25 by LustDemon69
3125Balaur Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Gotta say, this is one of my favorite mods. I like to pair with the Highlanders mod. But I am asking, how hard would it be to make a patch that makes it so, if you were to rend soul of a female highlander (turn her into a contubernali) you absord her immortality and lose the rival relationship? Seems like it would fit.

Seems like it would fit. It could be moderately difficult, dependent on your coding experience. I think you would need to create the event that would lend that to happening, which also means modifying the event for turning a woman into a contubernalis. But I don't have a large amount of experience myself.

Yup, always start as adventurer before seizing relm or invading. 12 hours ago, LustDemon69 said: Are these files just replacements, no need to change anything else? Making separate folder for this is OK, just be sure to edit decriptor so you don't have two mods with same mod, gets confusing.

Swifting Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Oh dear. The last time I played with this mod was... around one and half a year if not two years ago. By that time, either by this mod, or code-changes from paradoxs side, clicking on myself or anyone from my line, resulted in ever-growing lag-spikes. Starting with slight hicc-ups of a second or two, all the way up to half a minute of wait-time as the family grew - at which point I gave up my most recent campaign of this mod in its entirety. Now, this was decidedly before the nomad / steppe dlc. So my two questions are obviously as follows; Have the northern nomads regions recieved a regula magistry holy-site treatment of their own? And, has the lag-spike caused by extended close relatives been solved in the meantime? If the answer to either of these topics are "No", I can't rightfully see myself continuing with this mod - for all that I favour it greatly amongst the mods present on these forums. I would greatly appreciate a concisive answer to my problems - realzing that my... by now sh..t-box of a pc might be the main cause of it. (And, that in its current non-updated state, user-dependant work-arounds would be needed to run it smoothly in the first place) Best regeards, if you even read this far.

My understanding of how this mod and Paradox's CK3 interface interact to generate massive lag is that it wants to load all relationships the game can display for a character so once you get to about 100 wives + children + siblings (presumably + direct vassals but most of those should also be your wives and/or children so they're likely irrelevant because they're already loaded) there's just enough stuff it has to load that it takes a few seconds whenever you want to view your character. I have a pretty solid PC and it starts to get pretty bad when I get to around 300 or so.

Idk about the first one, maybe? I know China, Japan, and SEA have Holy Sites, but I don't have Khans so I'm never in the steppes. As for your second point, yes it can get a bit laggy still when you click your character or one of your PC's relatives. However, some of the overhaul mods have options to limit the portrait loading so that there's less up-front being loaded. That, and you can also use Population Control mods to try and equalize the world pop elsewhere in relation to your realm's. But it could also just be your PC, and while an upgrade is probably needed in general, it's ofc your own decision as to what you do and whether or not you play. I still have fun with it on my somewhat mid-range PC.

Sometimes I will just make sure I have something else to do for a few seconds while it loads the slow screens. But tell me more about these "overhaul mods" that might fix this...? Is this like fixing the actual loading (the problem seemed to come about a few versions ago when the base game functions started loading full objects for the entire lists of children and siblings) to load less information, or just not loading the entire list all at once on the relevant screens?

I specifically use the "Character UI Overhaul" and also the Compatch for Carnalitas. There is a specific function for auto-opening all portraits in a character window, or not doing that. I typically have it closed for playing RM2 bc of the large family sizes which seem to slow down the loading of my own character screen, most likely due to the amount of portraits being fetched. My running theory is "less portraits to load in on selection = less lag". I'm not even sure if this specific feature is included/excluded from vanilla UI, but I do find it helpful and always have it on. 2

LustDemon69 Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Suggestion for new spell: Something that turns a Famuli into a Lover on command? No need for endless seduction schemes to try and secure their loyalty if you can just bewitch them to be your Lover.
LustDemon69 Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Also, are there plans to copy the Regula buildings you can get for your Adventurer Camp to the Regula Admin Estate, or will you be making new buildings for the Estate?

LustDemon69 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Hey Ban10, whenever you come back and start working on the mod some more, I have an idea for your xp track idea for the magister. Look at the mod Witchcraft on Steam, the author is really masterful with trait track conditions, as nearly 90% of the mod, ime, revolves around constant trait xp gain. Just a suggestion so you can have some inspiration for RM2 😆 3

Johnny Wolf Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I have no idea how coding and modding works, so I don't know if this an insane ask, but I wonder if it would be possible to have a rival system for this mod, where some women around the world understands what the magister is doing and is actively working against them. It may even be fun to play as one of them women and fight an impossible war against the magister. On a different note, I would be interested if there were some women who are incapable of being made Mulsa due to their personality traits, and maybe if they are captured they become assigned to more physical and menial labor, and having too many leads to some internal problems for the realm. 1

The universe demands balance after all. Maybe instead of having a harem tho, she just prevents certain women from being able to be Fascinared or smth. Or you have to have contests of will to break the protection as a Magister? 2
