jilafj Posted August 4 Posted August 4 On a different note, I wish there is a way to control the number of children we get. I already had 200+ kids when I was the king of France in 1100 (started from 1066). I know there are other mods that tune down fertility but I played this run with even the most hardcore fertility reduction mods (-80% after 5th child). The game gets so laggy after 30 years because of the kids and their mother. 2
Dokkan Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Hello, since version 5.6.1, the game crashes as soon as I resume play. It crashes both during an ongoing game and when starting a new one. I think the problem is with the French translation because when I launch the game in English, it doesn't crash. 1
Dark_Messiah Posted August 5 Posted August 5 there seems to be a bug, the last version was fine but in this one when i click the icon on the left, no traits or tenets are shown, the entire religion page is completely empty.
unownguy Posted August 6 Posted August 6 hey so i attempted to conquer the world and give each of my children a duchy at least but when i got to the 1000 children mark whenever i try to click on my character or my children it buffers hard is there any solution to this?
sexlabextra Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Are the coming of age events only firing for the patriarch Guardian now? not even for the concubines that are controlled? Am I missing something? (ie patch or wrong idea) 1

(ie patch or wrong idea)  Just saw the note from the [July] 27/28th talking about changing who can give the events.  New problem the "your you you " and weird notification problems. Not notified for some targets, and getting 12 alerts for a single target.
xoihegn Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I remember there used to be a special type of government (Regula government maybe ?). Can i still get access to it now?

As in - It should say "Ends [Player name]'s Scheme to Charm Malika" - It doesn't really matter that it doesn't because as you can see in the has happened all the effects triggered that needed to. I don't check the Carnalitas discord I'm afraid due to privacy concerns on discord. Best to post bugs here or to the Gitgud Repo  Thank You! I did not know if it was related to another crash from before.  On 7/27/2026 at 5:23 AM, ban10 said: Yep, thats the change I made, in your case only the Magister/Domina can charm wards as you don't have any paelex when unlanded. Its a pretty big change, I wanted to reduce the amount of free charms you got, maybe I'll think about changing it if you have the diplomacy holy site effect (other Regula women can charm).  Have you thought of including it as an option/setting? Or maybe link it to marriage? Spoiler Some examples that come to mind are: [Everyone is a choice] marriage, allows anyone related to the Magister's family to Corrupt and be corrupted by family [No Relatives] marriage, only allows non-family members be Corrupted by Dynasty members (Kidnapping and Guardian of someone else's kid, or guardian of follower's kid)  I don't know how workable that would be, I barely mod games and this seems like a headache.

If your sons could rebel to become magister with big armies if you weren't marrying them off it'd be cool. Maybe with a small renown bonus if you had all of your sons married to landed rulers or something. This would hopefully shrink the size of the player character's direct family by a good amount just because the player character would have way fewer woman he's married to at a time. Pervat Posted August 7 Posted August 7 (edited) Can we get 'become chakravarti decision' for regula magistrian faiths? Its a hegemony title and its really op. Edited August 7 by Pervat better grammar

zijiyue Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Hi, thank you for the 5.6.2 update! I noticed two small edge cases that might be worth checking: compeditae_lower_title_succession_law still lists title tiers only up to tier_empire in can_title_have. Would it be appropriate to add tier_hegemony there as well, so the lower-title linker fully supports Hegemony titles? In regula_retire_paelex_interaction, scope:recipient.primary_heir is accessed and saved as scope:new_ruler without first checking that a primary heir exists. Perhaps that section could be guarded with exists = scope:recipient.primary_heir to avoid an undefined scope when the recipient has no heir. I may be overlooking some CK3 scope behavior, but I wanted to mention these just in case. Thank you again for maintaining the mod!
Simbarara Posted August 8 Posted August 8 I am often getting a notification that my daughter revealed a secret that she has my child and every time that happens I get a lower level of devotion. Is that intended behaviour? If so, is there a way to counter that? I am using version 5.6.2
hamletsdead Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Can I update from 5.4 to 5.6.2 in a current playthru without issues, or are preexisting scripts going to bork my save? I just acquired the Regula Magistri but haven't freed the Keeper of Souls yet.Â

Best practice is to just start a new save with each update if you want to use said new update.Â
LustDemon69 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 One error I'm noticing quite often is that the notifications for things like the Ward Events and other Fascinare events are duplicated at least twice at a time? It's not too bothersome, dismissing many achievements is easy, but it does seem like the increases in exp for the Magister Trait are also duplicated, which leads to Domination and Knowledge going up rapidly.Â
TarDust Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Automatic Education - Guardian & University Manager is, I think, a must have for this mod  https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3717349873 2

Like literally almost every single event I've seen with RM is firing twice at once.Â
Johnny Wolf Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Not sure how much work would go into this but would it be possible to rework Enslavements? It's a cool mechanic but whenever I use it all kinds of riff raff and important court positions end up getting land, include castrated male labour slaves (Slavery expanded.) Would be easier if one designated dynasty member gets all the land and distributes it.

Also from a new campaign, as this should not be possible unless I dunno some old files are in there or something weird.  On 8/10/2026 at 5:37 PM, Johnny Wolf said: Not sure how much work would go into this but would it be possible to rework Enslavements? I've decided to remove automatic Abice Maritus because it was wonky and it seemed to target a lot of men that people didn't want kicked out, so the Abice Maritus holy site effect just makes it cheaper for now.  On 8/8/2026 at 6:54 PM, hamletsdead said: Can I update from 5.4 to 5.6.2 in a current playthru without issues, or are preexisting scripts going to bork my save? I agree, but I mean this is something you can do via current in game mechanics anyway. As for multiple Magisters, this is something that I want to see is going to be possible with the new expansion, which hopefully will have stuff that can enable this (eg multiple HOFs, including landless ones)  On 8/6/2026 at 2:52 PM, sexlabextra said:  Thank You! I could make it an option but honestly I feel like having Magister/Domina/Paelex as the "ward charmers" is both mechanically and narratively the best option, it was pretty crazy when all mulsa could charm wards and you would have an insane, almost exponential number of free charms. This grounds it and makes it feel more real (Domina/Paelex are your "leader" devoted)  On 8/6/2026 at 10:22 AM, xoihegn said: I remember there used to be a special type of government (Regula government maybe ?). ban10 Posted August 13 Author Posted August 13 (edited) Also, random bonus art, here are two loading screen that I ultimately decided needed a bit more work, though they were very fun to make Might pop them in at some point after some edits, but just popping in here because the loading screens artwork were really fun to design and make (and I like showing them off!).
