By the way, there is a bug at launch with quests aFTD2_inquiry_temple, aFTD2_inquiry_virginhead. These quests were finished.

Setstage also aftd2_insmouth.

I also would like to learn what do you think about the mod story.

I plan to finish chapter 2, by recycling the old infiltation, ceremony, and dream quests.

 

The gap is in the room where we have to talk to the guy and we choose whether to go as a merchant or as a whore.

Hmm, I played the previous version of FtD a few years ago, but I liked the overall theme. Maybe there were a few elements that didn't suit me. Currently, the changes presented by MOd are +. Apart from some problems (already reported), it looks better than the original.

More reports!

 

1) In the lighthouse. I haven't found a wine for Zadok, or at least one that makes a setstage change.

2) After reading message from Maive setstage not change

3) "Observe Artrarak He goes upstairs and opens the closet, but then goes downstairs and nothing continues to happen anwet after waiting all day.

4) I bring Laethe to docs (on ship) setstage not change

5) After Sailor sex party Maive stay in basement and she stay naked (Laethe i think she was naked too when she leave basement)

6) I take and open slaver note from strong box but setstage not change

7) NPC Shaga not have boots.

8 ) All stages fror "The Shrouded City" i had force to next stage ;/

1) there is a trigger nearby a group of crates.

2) yeah, I do'nt know why the script 'setstabeonread' don't work as expected. I'll add some triggers around these messages to ensure the quest will progress

3) he's supposed to enter in the inn, walk, open the closet, enter the basement, stay in the basement a time, and come back into the main room, and leave...

4) Bring her to Maive's house. I'll precise the objective

5) I do'nt know how to make them unstrip...

6) same, I'll add a trigger.

? I found the problem with that quest. I messed with the increment. Next update it should work. Need to be tested.

? I found the problem with that quest. I messed with the increment. Next update it should work. Need to be tested.

your question ask another question : how to deal with followers by script ? like detecting them ? (capturing them is easy soon they are detected and registered into an alias).

 

 

Thanks for your reply! About your question, sadly I'm not a programmer, so I can't support you about that, but there are some mods which manage followers (for example Simple Slavery Plus, which enslaves PC and followers, even customized ones, after some conditions have been met) that could be used as starting point.

Anyway, thanks for everything you've already done! I can't wait to try this new version of your mod!

Lot of progress... and lot of things to make and fix !

 

aFTD2_inquiry_zEnd2 son't start at intended. Do it manually when you're in temple of the deeps (end of zend1 quest).

Ignoring the general "alpha scuff" and the questionable lore-friendliness of the riekling quest (its funny enough to be worth it) I must say that the already investigation and intrigue heavy old version has definitely been 1-upped in every aspect by the new one. Good job.

 

I do have one minor quibble though. It seems that the only way to progress the investigation of the slavers in solitude is to clear out Broken Oar Grotto to find the note on slave sales. Did I just miss something? All the quests in the old version, and the other quests in the new version, can theoretically be completed with minimal/no combat at level 1, which makes a great introductory questline for a fresh character, but that one step where you have to clear out one of the more difficult bandit dungeons gatekeeps it. If you are capable of clearing out an entire pirate cove, why do you need to bother with the stealthy "avoid suspicion" approach and why would you fall victim to the cult, etc.

If you think the pirates in broken oar grotto are challenging, the deep ones are nighmares in comparison. And you can't face an entire village of people who want to kill you, with no possibility of escape !

 

Spoiler : the priestess already know about you, but they let you inquiry. You'll meet Hak'luru the first time at end of chapter 2, and you'll met in her again in chapter 3. She's important to lead you to the cultist and priestess path.

I think that without changing the location or actually having an alternative route (sending a mercenary) may be a problem. Alternatively, make a mini room near the cave entrance and place a note there?

Once I was arrested by the penitous occulatus agent, he put cuffs on me. The cuffs never came back off and there was no way to remove them. Not even console commands. It completely broke the save and has made progression impossible past that point.

Managed to force my way past the inability to remove cuffs with some creative MCM settings and console commands. But I encountered several more glitches, one of them game breaking (which i will put in bold below).

 

 

1. Just before going to the Island I'm told i can choose several identities. Only one identity (merchant) shows up. (But maybe the prostitute option just isn't implemented yet?)

 

2. When registering after arriving at the island, no matter whether I submit to inspection or not, the objective says talk to "Kynev" or whatever his name is. But there is no additional dialogue. The entire quest just stops dead and I'm stuck in the registration office with no ability to progress. The objective just says talk to the guy and he has zero dialogue options.

 

3. There are a ton of glitches were quests don't properly update but one can still get by them. For example, in the riekling cave, the objective to talk to the riekling chief and quest marker stays even after finding evidence and having talked to him but he has no new dialogue. Luckily the quest can be completed despite this and then it goes away. But this is the case for a lot of quests.

 

4. Castle Dour Dungeon room has a missing wall. Looks like someone else reported this as well but figured I would mention it.

 

5. The investigation in dawnstar also progresses the solitude investigation partially if you do the dawnstar one first. Not sure if this is intentional but it makes the quest objectives very unclear.

 

6. While doing the dawnstar objective "find the bedroom" going upstairs marked that objective as complete on screen but not in the journal, and when i actually found the bedroom it was marked complete again (this time in the journal as well). Never saw a glitch like that before.

I can say something to some of your points myself.

 

1) Both are available, but the option for a prostitute is blocked by "perversion" and that means you didn't agree to a mini-game with a boy who observed a naked sleeping woman in Dawnstar. And you didn't have sexual intercourse with Reklings. 

 

The option with the prostitute currently ends with Susanna's conversation after the ceremony quest.

 

Not counting a few problems that have been reported. It is without "setstage" you will not get past them ;/.

 

Use in console to unlock this option:

set aFTD_Perversion to 4

 

2) It seems that the option with the merchant ends here.

 

As for the rest, I either didn't have them or they didn't catch this problems.

Curious... I'll add a script line to be sure it will went off.

For now, just use unequipall command

1 : the prostitute path is fully implemented.

not the merchant one...

 

2 : there is a scene. wait it playing, the quest will progress, and you will be able to talk to knyva. Please give me the stages you face problems with.

 

 

3 : I know, the chapter 2 is still in construction. Please list all the glitches you can find. With screenshots, quest stage, etc...

 

4 : yeah, I know... the only solution to fix it will be in tesc, and rebuilt the aftd1_chapter1_end variables

 

5 : what ? Please, details !

 

6 : what ? screenshots please ! rthat's not supposed to play like that. the bedroom is in the cave, not upstairs.

1 : yep, a minimal perversion is required to choose the prostitute path.

where setstages, please ?

I didn't used them until the aftd2_inquiry_zend2 quest

 

2 : yes, the merchant stuff is not developed.

You can play all the chapter 2, it not depends of prostitute or merchant. Just settage the afts2_insmouth quest to make the story progress.

Merchant content will came in next update, with bug fixes, and an improvong of prostitute content.

If you look at what I reported, there are no slaves I have to talk to in the warehouse or during the ceremony. So I have to do a setstage.
