Starfield will have no sex.

I was listening to Juicehead and they were talking about Starfield and there will be a romance option, but no sleeping with companions.

And the community from afar said, "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED".

The one you can get for $1500 in Nevada. :mask:

Not all parts of Nevada.  Its outlawed in Las Vegas/Clark County.  Or have the laws changed and my info is out of date?

Some people noted we don't even know if there's going to be enough opportunities for sex that would make sense in the game... Then I remembered sex mods for the original Doom games. They were silly mods not to be taken seriously, but the technology allowed that and there clearly was a challenge for modders to see whether they are able to come up with something meaningful in terms of story, or are they just going to throw it in which would feel out of place? Well, I think the difference between games then and now is clear. The games now offer so much more, so many more options for modders too. I believe that modders will find a way to give Starfield worthy sex mods and compelling narratives tailored around them.

Of course, technically we do not have sex in any of the existing bethesda games -- we just have animations which look sort of like people having sex.

It's all pixels and imagination.

Believe me.

That way or the other.

Exactly. I was just thinking; If there's a will, there's a way, and there's a mod for that.

And here I thought I was far too rooted in technicalities.

And did you really expect anything different from Bethesda? They don't even have default naked body models in any of their games. They are the 'PG-13 version of M rated games'.

I still like the pixels and imagination though. ?

I try to maintain a clear distinction between fantasy and reality!

But, also, ... I am aware of quite a variety of limitations on what we can do from within a game engine. (And I mean: I've tried to figure out how to present story elements that I was interested in, and I keep running into practical limitations. We have timers and triggers, and we can have pre-recorded conversational elements, and of coursze we have our animated polygonal models. And ... while I greatly admire the work other people have done,  ... I am still acutely aware of how much we cannot do.)

Some of my favorite people are pixels and imagination!

Here's hoping whatever framework modders develop for it will be at least on par with SexLab. Forget AAF that thing is janky af

Ngl, AAF was a real pain in the ass to properly install. But, in AAF's defense, the creator intended it as a framework for poses for screenshot purposes and not sex related.

They just put the controversial denuvo on ghostwire a year after its release. They don't seem to learn from anyone. Although I would be glad to be corrected because I do not know if bethesda's dev team and publisher team work alongside each other and make decisions together.

Oh so do I. But the sad thing is that most people are starting to live their real lives in some kind of delusion or fantasy. Hence why we are seeing the start of a 'Universe 25*' scenario, and a 'Rise of the 'Beautiful People'' type of thing happening. Mods like Sexlab, and 'AO' games are doing so well right now because of that as well.

But we shall see what comes out for Starfield. I do agree with kamoewarrior in the 'more like SL and less like AAF', but time will tell.

*For context, a vid of 'The Universe 25 experiment' in the spoiler.

It will have a CK, I assume?

Most likely yes, they released CK for Skyrim and Fallout 4 so i don't see a reason to stop now unless they wanna nuke the modding scene entirely and i'm pretty sure they don't want that.

If Starfield has so many planets I am sure some intrepid players will find one and shape it into whatever society they want however small.

Sometimes you'll scare me with talk like that. :astonished:

I've not really looked at Starfield promotional videos other than the one with the obvious mud crab animation. However I suspect if this is going down the "Fallout 4" route. (Yes there are 'sex' mods for it, but also they are pretty pants), with Microsoft owning Bethesda now, the tools are going to be so limiting and coupled with the continual 'updates' which will  be employed these will be the things which hinders modding to any significant degree.

And just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water......:dragon:
